The food was absolutely insanely good and delicious! We got here 45 mins before closing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space is very cozy on the inside and the servers were super warm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They graciously explain upfront that the restaurant charges a 20% gratuity for every order and also remind you when you pay so you dont tip if you dont wanna. The food is amazing! We got the house noodles with chicken and the noodle soup and it was super delicious and hearty. We went 3/4 spicy and it was very good. The flavors were different, the menu was very unique (options ither than your lad thai and drunken noodles) and the service was super quick. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outdoor seating as well for better weather and i was able to find street parking right outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Go guve them a shot and satisfy your cravings!

Stopped in with a few friends for an early Saturday dinner. We just beat the rush and so glad we did. These are easily the best drunken noodles I've had in dc. Bouncy noodles, quality beef and fresh veggies had my tastebuds singing!!! Definitely pricey but worth it especially f you dine in! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was cozy yet spacious[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and the waiters were so attentive and sweet. Can't wait to come back!

My friend and I decided to give this place a try after playing pool at Atomic billiards. We usually go to fresh med or spices, but wanted to try something new. I am so glad we came here. Absolutely loved it. They have authentic Thai food in their menu. The restaurant was packed which is a good sign that locals or tourists love this place. They also had lots of to-go orders. We sat outside initially but moved inside as the wind started to blow pretty hard. Service was nice but slightly on the slower end as they were packed. Totally understandable. We were not in a hurry so didn't really matter. We had ordered Thai ice tea which our server forgot to place the order. Well, for the mains we ordered moo ping which is barbecue pork with veggies and sticky rice. It was delicious. Highly recommend adding their spicy sauce. It's so good. My friend loved the chicken and shrimp dumplings with noodles. He can't handle spicy food. For dessert, we ordered mango sticky rice. They do run out of it so I suggest ordering it with your entrees. It was delicious. Mango was fresh and the sticky rice was nice and creamy. Price was nominal as well, however they do add service tax about 18%. They did not mention that. I noticed our bill was higher than the things we order. Server then brings it up that they have added 18% service tax. I tipped additional 15% on top of it which I am not happy about. I am definitely going back again but I might order take out next time. Service could have better. 4/5 mostly for service and the service tax.

Came on a Thursday night and was seated immediately! Very small interior. Service was a bit slow, but they were very busy. - spring rolls: nothing special - curry puffs: great - Basil chicken: average - Siam noodles: noodles were overcooked/mushy, but beef was very good

This place was highly rated so we decided to give it a try. Honestly I like hole in the wall places. No fancy place just good food. They don't take reservations so when we arrived we had to put our names on a list and we waiter maybe 45-50 minutes for a table. Once seated the waitress (seems to be the owners daughter) had so much personality and she was able to answer all of our questions. We started with a papaya salad (tasted just like it does in Thailand). We then ordered green curry chicken, pad Thai, shrimp and broccoli in garlic sauce and vegetable fried rice. Everything was amazing and worth the wait and the hype. It's a small place with maybe 8 tables so pack your patience you won't be disappointed.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is amazing!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Wanted to try all of the best restaurants when visiting DC and this one popped up on many lists as a favorite - it did not disappoint. Loved learning about the family business and how the dynasty continues! This was also some of the best Thai food I've ever had - flavored and cooked to perfection.

Came here for Fathers Day with my parents- we LOVED the food! The dishes were unique and there were a lot of options for vegans/vegetarians. I also appreciate that their dishes had lots of vegetables, which a lot of restaurants skimp on, and LOVE that their meat is sustainably sourced. The only reason this isn't 5 star is because of the service- the staff were very nice but they weren't prepared for such a big crowd. I'd recommend taking reservations on holidays (the restaurant currently does not do them), maybe with a cancellation penalty, and then staffing up in advance. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also wish the venue was larger- I think it's best suited for takeout.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Siam House has delicious food. The restaurant itself is small, so expect to be packed in and able to hear all conversations. I've never had a bad meal here. I had the beef and broccoli (Thai style) and I highly recommend. My friend had a crispy pork dish which was really good. I'll be ordering this next time I go. T They also have a good happy hour with food and drinks.

Walked in without a reservation around 2PM on a Saturday with a group of 6 (including myself) and we got ourselves a big table. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a good spot for a casual meal, though not everything wowed me this time around.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I opted for the most spicy option for my tom yum and yet I didn't find it spicy enough (yes I have extremely high tolerance for spice). [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lovely atmosphere and warm service--I'd say the food leans more toward comfort than complexity.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Siam was such a tasty Thai restaurant! [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm not going to lie -- I was a little startled to see a creepy crawler on the chair, but the waiter calmly scooped it up with his hands and set it free outside (I might've been a bit dramatic, lol).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything I tried was delicious, from the salad to the garlic chicken. I'll definitely be back -- just on a Sunday to avoid paying for parking. Also, there's a really nice library across the street that's worth checking out!

We'll have to look for an opportunity when we are around the dog all day, so she can be on her own for a couple of hours, likely sleeping. Birdsong already is acclaimed. This is much more Thai and Thai American. Like Chinese or Italian cuisine before it, Thai flavors have assimilated to a palate not accustomed to the true strength of the spices. Birdsong is a remedy. They do not offer the pad thai that has become a staple, no longer exotic but to its detriment. (A digression. The history of pad thai, with contested origins, is fascinating. As you delve into these matters, you see how syncretic culture is. You also are exposed to the efforts to fashion a unifying mythology.) We ordered the chicken, the shrimp, the crab fried rice, the papaya salad, and the enhancement. The chicken and the shrimp were quality ingredients, prepared well. Although both proteins were fried, they felt clean. The crab fried rice was one option of many with the rice base. The papaya salad was fresh. The enhancement was radish with "fermented daikon, garlic, red onion, cilantro, palm sugar, and fish sauce scrambled with eggs for a balanced savory and sweet flavor," and the portion was generous: we put it on the rice, then I finished it off in an omelet the next morning. We have traveled to Bangkok. Thai spiciness exceeds what I would endorse, and I love hot dishes. Birdsong was much milder, though with sufficient pepperiness my wife, who does not share my preferences, remarked it was closer to her limit. They will work with you in this respect, and I'm confident I could request something that would test my capabilities. That is, in my book, all positive. The dishes that were mild according to the menu, were mild, but they were flavorful. If you do not like fish sauce, for example, you may not appreciate the offerings, which if they don't have fish sauce have something along those lines. I hope Birdsong fares well.

I first reached out to the restaurant directly by email because I wanted to give management the opportunity to address my concerns privately, but unfortunately, I never received a response. On 7/22/26 at 7:20pm The restaurant was busy, which I completely understand. The problem wasn't the wait--it was the way I was treated. The employee working the front, Leah, repeatedly helped customers who came in after me while I stood there waiting to place my order and later to pick it up. A simple acknowledgment, like "I'll be right with you," would have made all the difference. I've never been treated this way at Songbird before. Every other employee I've encountered has always been friendly and professional, which is why this stood out so much. I hope management takes the time to speak with this employee so that no other customer has the same experience. I'd like to continue supporting this neighborhood restaurant because the food is excellent, but if this is the level of service I can expect going forward, unfortunately, this will be my last visit.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. There is Uyghur art of different types throughout the restaurant, which has two levels. I ordered two different samsas (beef and pumpkin) and korma with lamb. The pumpkin one tastes as good as it smells. What a yummy and comfort treat. The beef begins with a subtle flavor and then builds with every bite. I asked for medium heat on my korma (the noodle dish). It was delicious and spicy. We shared a bunch of different appetizers and entrees - the favorites were the goshnan, korma chop, and royal laghman. This is a great restaurant to share a bunch of dishes as they're definitely designed to share. They have varying levels of spice and we opted for medium for everything. Noodles are clearly made in house and super chewy and delicious. We got the dolan cake for dessert and that was our favorite dish of the night so definitely save room for dessert! Definitely a 4/4.5 star place. I really wish the menus were on paper - you have to scan a QR code to look at everything which isn't my favorite. Also a random 3% fee was added to our bill (which I don't see disclosed on the online menu). Overall I'd go back for the food/takeout especially with a larger group!
