I submitted a Yelp request they called and said they would be out on July 10 at 1000 am. When I called at 1130 as they didn't show up they said to reply to Joe as I needed to confirm my appointment. They didn't want to waste their time if I wasn't there. I told him you made the appointment I agreed as far as I am concerned it was set. I did that when I set the appointment up 2 days prior. I called Joe he said he would be out in a couple of hours. 3pm I called and he asked if I could send him photos, which I did and yet no response. Now whose waste of time was it? Mine on all accounts. Lost 40k. Had them come out for a siding quote in August of 2024. Contracted them for an addition. Payed 10 k to do engineering and submit permit. Supposed to start October but didnt get permit submitted till November, they asked for 40k down to submit permit and start building. I decided at the end of November to walk away from the project, the permit was not approved yet and the city was asking for measurements. They told me they needed to come in and measure for permitting and ordering. I told them I didn't want to do the project, the next day I was informed that the 40 k down would not be returned because I signed a contract. I tried to work with them to maybe do other work on the house and they refused, either the addition gets built or I forfeit that money. So they kept all 40 k. They also pushed forward to do my siding early on, and honestly I should have been paying more attention and put a hold on the project. They left the top row of siding off because they intended on finishing siding later after completion of the addition. They did paint so they could say that the 18k siding project was complete, but not only was I missing the top row of siding but they didn't caulk any joint. I went all winter with out my house weather proofed. UPDATE: The owner called me july 9th. He started out with letting me know that he didn't know about what was going on. I informed him that I tried multiple times to contact him. He wanted to make things right in return for taking down the review. His offer was to finish up the siding, I couldn't agree to that. We talked about what he may owe me. He didn't think that I was owed anything, as my 40 k deposit was all spent on administrative costs for my project, before we even break ground on my addition. I informed him that I gave him 10k in the beginning to cover administrative costs. But he still insisted these were all costs they took. My records show that I withdrew the 40k deposit Oct 25, and I cancelled the project Nov 22, 40k gone in 30 days? He also slightly touched on how legally he probably didn't owe me anything. I agreed with him, he may legally owe me nothing. But I brought up that morally it may be the wrong thing to do. He has been trusted with my home, and morality is pretty important for me to trust him. After our talk I went through my contract again, the total contract was 105k*. 10k plus 40k was used on administrative fees, that's half the contract. If you factor in the siding cost, I'm in 70k. That math only leaves 35k to buy materials, pay labor, and make a profit on my second story addition. None of this made sense to me. Update: There you go public. As can be seen from their response, 2FL is justified and in the right..... Although there contract numbers seem different than mine. And yes a personal issue was part of me cancelling as I explained to the sales man, I was and still am in parenting litigation and it was taking an unexpected turn. This litigation was going to now eat some serious cash flow so I can have visitation with my 3 year old. And yes parenting litigation may put reviewing a company on the back burner. What I cant understand is I don't believe the owner said anything about material in our last call, just administrative cost. They never entered my house for final measurements. UPDATE: while working on finishing up my siding myself, found rot in a spot that now I have to un do their work to fix. The contract said they would repair rot, it looks like they just sided over it instead. UPDATE: I have wrapped up the siding on my house. Almost a year later and its finally weather proofed. I just cant beleive 2fl left me hanging like this, they kept every bit of money and couldn't even offer to finish the siding that I had paid in full. They left my house to rot in the weather after I had given them a total of 70k. read more

Working with this company was a nightmare. I will stick to the worst parts, to save myself some time and energy on this review-which I feel I must leave, in hopes that I save someone else from having to deal with them. The second the contract was signed, they hung us out to dry. The schedule went 7x the quoted time, and we had no support from anyone at 2FL. We were told they'd be finished in one week, but this job took over 7 weeks. There was no outside reason for the job being delayed-no material availability problems, etc. The crew just showed up around noon everyday, and left around 3pm (or sometimes didn't show up at all). We had to push back multiple other jobs to account for 2FL's delays. Some jobs we couldn't push back, and the other crews had to come in and work around 2FL's constant worksite mess. Tools were everywhere, insulation and sawdust were left to sit on the floor for weeks at a time, and open cans of stain and half-used caulk tubes were strewn about until the very last day. After informing 2FL of our issues, the owner (Terry) fired the two people working on our job. I found this out because one of the crew texted me to say "your email to my boss just got us fired." Terry told us he would have a new crew on our job that could finish the job in 2 days, and assured us that he'd take care of us. Then the Friday before work was to start again, the original crew texted me to say "All of the other crews are slammed, so unless you wanna wait, you're stuck with me. Cya Monday." We tried to call the owner about this, and he never called us back. Instead, the crew called us again and said "Terry told me to call you." We were not pleased with how this was handled, but we thought it would all be over soon, so we swallowed it and moved on. Weeks later, we were still having problems. This time, with schedule and work quality. We called the project manager and insisted that he come see the work, and he came over. He agreed that things were not great, and told the crew to fix the crooked window and sloppy trim work. We were fine with this solution, but the work kept dragging out, and the crew kept telling us "It will absolutely be done today." After more than a week of excuses, the work was still not done, and we were up against a hard deadline with our flooring install starting. I called the project manager again, and he had an admin assistant call me back instead. They told me they'd get me taken care of, but I never heard back from anyone again. No one came to do a final walkthrough of the work, or even call to check on things. The first call we got after all of this was just another call requesting final payment. When the job was finally complete, the crew left the place a mess, and with incomplete work everywhere (see photos). We had to scrape up the junk all over the floors ourselves, and then hire another crew to come fix the interior drywall and exterior siding work that was left incomplete by 2FL. In short, I'm so glad this experience with 2FL is over, and I wouldn't advise anyone to work with them, for any reason. read more

EXCELLENT!! There are many companies that compete with each other to corner the market in replacing windows, siding, roofing etc. I personally have experience in sales and the mark-ups that go along with it and 2FL's integrity, quality, knowledge and price has proven to me they are levels above the rest!! Since doing business with 2FL before and after other companies, along with referring them to friends and family, I will no longer consider anyone else! Only thing I can suggest is to negotiate price. My experience in the remodel/replacement field has shown cost to be higher or lower based off urgency so planning ahead is always much more affordable than an emergency repair. Majority of people only take time out to complain about services and the happy people are just silently happy, hence the saying "No news is good news". Solid Contractors are hard to obtain. As I read other reviews, I notice plenty of great things said, even from people that only posted 2 stars. If you choose to use this company and are satisfied like myself, take the small amount of time to submit a review. I am giving a little of my time to say Thank You Greatly 2FL!! read more

This review is based on my experience with their sales person and his inability to give me a timely quote. Joe c. territory sale manager shows up to give a bid on the siding on the back of the house,he arrived with no ladder. I explain the job and he look at the job and was guessing the measurements. They were not even close. He did not use a tape measure. He gave a rough estimate of the cost as he walked back to his car. He was in a hurry to leave. He was in and out in under 10 minutes. Joe was my 4th quote in 3 days. It was clear that he was not interested in my business. He could have said that this job is to small for his company vs ghosted on any bid, and a waste of my time. First, let me state that the actual crew of techs that installed our windows were AMAZING! These guys were professional, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to have in our home for over a week. More importantly, the techs are the only reason for the 2nd star. That said, 2FL finished the window installation portion of this project a few months ago (started mid-June), HOWEVER, they installed window screens on half of the windows that aren't the right size. As the screens aren't the correct length, they create gaps at the top for bugs to fly in. This is also in addition to installing the wrong sliding door as well, which was backwards. (That wasn't the tech's fault, by the way, and it has since been fixed) Back to the window screens, which to this date, still haven't been replaced, and they went from providing updates to being non responsive all together. We call on a weekly basis but get nowhere. But wait, there's more - one of the window cranks used for opening/closing broke off yesterday. To be fair, this isn't necessarily 2FL's fault, as it is the manufacturer's (LasTech), but at this point, does it really matter? After spending over $30K on this headache, I wish I went with a different company altogether. But at least the windows look great, I guess. read more

This is an update to our window job. It took a couple of additional visits and almost 1 calendar year start to finish, but the job is complete. I was frustrated at many points in this process but I will say that the work crews that came out to install these windows saved the whole experience for me. They were professional, courteous and skilled. They arrived on time, took care to limit the mess inside the house, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. I struggle with this rating, because I genuinely do not know how much of our delays were due to the extraordinary circumstances of the last couple of years. I suspect a lot of people have had to endure long delays for products. However, I stand by my remarks about 2FL customer service. From the beginning to the very end, I had to initiate most if not all of the communication. I would have preferred it if they could have been on top of things and kept me in the loop, I think that would have spared a lot of the anger and frustration. But they answered the phone every time I called. I had the owner's personal cell # and I never felt like he ducked my calls or gave me the run-around. It took a lot longer than I wanted, but in the end, I got good windows professionally installed for a very favorable price. read more

The first time we were told they scheduled wrong my husband being the nice person he is gave them another chance. Today's excuse is Covid having Covid before I'm sorry if you get it. If you had any intentions of running a business to make customers happy and do your job you would've called to cancel. My review has to do with the service aspect if the company. First, the quality of the work is excellent. My issue is with the follow up. I had siding replaced. My porch completely redone and a fence completely replaced. The fence took 6 weeks to get done. 3 different crews worked on it. I've been trying to get service to correct mistakes in the fence for over 2 years now. I keep hearing the same excuses as to why no one can come fix it. We don't have anyone who's available. The owner is not willing to honor the warranty that comes with the work. At this point, I think that I'm going to have to seek legal representation to get this company to honor it's word. Before they gift my money, every phone call was returned very quickly. After final payment, I have to call several times to get a response. I would not recommend this company to any of my people just because of the hassle that I'm going through. Not worth the savings I may have gotten. read more

Nothing bugs me more than when I have to re-arrange my schedule for an appointment and the contractor doesn't show up without notice. It messes up my whole day and basic etiquette is to cancel if the appointment needs to be rescheduled. In fact, they texted me the same morning to confirm. I have a very large bow window that needs to be replaced and I reached out to 2FL Windows to throw the work at a local guy (Kent) to support my community. He did respond to my messages pretty quickly, but I was informed that they won't roll out of bed unless you replace at least 3 windows. I despise companies who have unreasonable minimum work requirements, as it shows that they don't respect their customers. Honest work is honest work, whether it is one window or 20. I was fully expecting to pay between 4-5k to replace my window, but I suppose that I'll find a different company who aren't too big for their britches. read more

We've ordered windows from 2FL three times and have been happy three times. Of course; why would we order a second or third time otherwise? The first order was for four bedroom windows, two living room windows, one dining room window, and one kitchen window. All single-hung, double-paned, with argon gas. Dave (my "partner-in-crime") has built and flipped houses in the past so we've never had 2FL install any of the windows. The second order was for a small picture window in the main bathroom. Just recently, we ordered three 6'x4' picture windows (double-paned with argon gas) as we decided to enclose a 10'x20' section of the front porch to create a sun room. Buyer beware! There have been problems at every turn with this company. After four meetings to get measurements, they still delivered the wrong size for one window, one was damaged, and half of my screens were missing. They probably delivered them to the wrong client as they delivered extra screens to my home. This began in March, and as of October, I still have two missing screens for my doors. Worst experience I have ever had. First it took 5 months to get the work done which was not worth what they charged me. No show multiple times, no call backs and terrible work. I had a small siding job done with 2 windows installed. The framing around my windows on the outside look terrible and sloppy and the framing on the inside of the house has big gaps in the trim. The work they did caused cracks on my wall. Also they made big gauges in my siding when they removed the trim on the windows. I wish I could post some pictures to show their work. This is a review based on the estimate and administrative team. I initially called Chris from 2FL on June 28th and made an appointment to have someone come out to do an estimate to replace my roof. I scheduled the estimate for July 3rd, and was told that the roofer didn't require me to be present as they would just hop up there and check things out. July 12th rolls around and I hadn't heard from them. I called Chris to inquire about the estimate. It turns out that no one actually went out on the 3rd and they still needed to send someone by. Greg called me that afternoon and said that he would stop by the house and send me the estimate via email the next morning. I never received the estimate as promised. I called back Chris the next day to find out what happened and he said that they were understaffed with some of their employees on vacation. I just wished someone from the company would have thought to tell me that A) they couldn't make the first appointment and B) not to promise to send an estimate and then fail to. If their actions for just gathering an estimate is any indicator of the customer service or quality done in replacing roofs, I'd stay far far away. Also isn't summer the prime time for replacing roofs in WA? Why are they understaffed during what is their busiest season? Not a good sign or experience. read more

The worst company I've dealt with, in particular with the sales person named Simeon. This guy is a drunken person in very bad way possible and really aggressive. Over a misunderstanding of price I wanted to clarify (I asked really nicely and he started yelling and screaming right away), he yelled and screamed, threatening, calling names and sexist. Scare tactic to intimidate anyone who questions their pricing. The owner, Terry, actually siding with him instead of working WITH customers. They are really rude, entitled, arrogant, people who think they are the only one that can install windows. Never experienced dealing with such people, and hope never will. 2FL replaced my roof and did a beautiful job. I've had neighbors come over and tell me how much they like my roof. The roof matches my trim on the house so it really stands out. It took 2 days to rip off my roof and put the new roof on. When they were done they cleaned up the debris that didn't make it to the dumpster and left my house looking fabulous. I just finished replacing all peeling vertical cedar with horizontal fiber board siding/panels. I had extensive dry rot repair, including support beam, garage door, missing flashing (oh so important in NW), repair done by sider David Day and Kyle of 2FL Siding and Windows. It was huge, they made it easy. Looks phenomenal. Couldn't be happier, because prior work has failed. I'm pretty bummed on how this ended based on how it started. Steve from 2FL contacted me by text after I requested a quote from them for a roof. We set a time up for the estimate which was about a week and a half after they contacted me (which was fine). I received a call from Joe (the estimator) the day of the appointment and he told me he could quote the roof based on Google Maps and save everyone time which was great. I asked him about doing a partial roof replacement (as some of the roof is really new) and he said their policy is to only do full replacement because they've had issues with people getting partial roof replacements then asking them to warranty fix the portion that wasn't done by them, which makes sense. We also talked a little about the flat roof section of the house that would need torchdown vs. shingles (which is the most critical area for replacement in the near term). He said "I can tell you know it would be 12K for a full roof replacement, including the torchdown." I re-confirmed that it would include the torchdown and he confirmed again. I told him that is great and can he send me a quote in writing which he said he would by the time I got home from work that day (a Friday). I asked him if he had my email and he said he did. We also talked about financing options and he gave us what the monthly payment would be for financing (~$170/month). I was very pleased with that call. I hadn't received the quote by Monday (and he said I'd get it that day - Friday) so I contacted the gentleman who scheduled the estimate (Steve) as I didn't have Joe's contact information. He provided Joe's phone number and then Joe and I traded voicemails and texts. The quote hadn't come through because he didn't have my email address was what he said. I figured he just made a mistake when he answered that question on the phone (that he had it) so I gave it to him. Not long after that, the quote came through with some details listed but I skimmed the details because the bottom line price was approximately $12K and some change which aligned with the phone call so I didn't read too much into detail. It was also more than the other quotes we got, but since they were doing the whole roof instead of 2/3, it made sense. I responded that day and said "Thank you! I was talking to my boyfriend about it and we wanted to clarify that the garage/carport in the back doesn't need to be roofed. It is a separate building (just really close) and it's going to be torn down in the next couple years. Can you update your quote to not include that section. See the attached picture. The red [circle] will be torn down. The blue [circle] is all that needs to be roofed (including some areas that probably don't need it but respecting your no partial rule, we're ok with that as it makes sense)." His response didn't come until 2 days later after I had to re-check in with him and ask about my question. He responded that w/o the garage/carport, the quote was approximately $16k + tax (total $18k). This was a bit shocking. I responded and asked him the same day (exactly) "Hi Joe, Since the area is smaller, I'm a bit confused about the 30% increase in price" He responded (same day): "If you look at the original proposal, I said the house was $12,300. The garage was $6,330, and the torchdown was $4250. All I did to submit the new price was add the house estimate and the torchdown estimate together, then tax. I'm sorry for the confusion. Joe." Which confused me even more - he had said 12K including the torchdown on the phone which I had him confirm again on the phone. So now that he is saying it wasn't included made his slightly higher price twice as high as the other bidders, for only doing a small portion more than the other bidders. I responded again, politely "Hi, I didn't understand that since it [the separate fees] was listed not with the total [price]. Also, on the phone you told me $12k including the torchdown so when I saw the $12k on the quote, it matched the phone conversation so I assumed that was all. So now I am confused on how it went from $12k including torchdown on the phone to $16K." (Note the $16K is pretax). No response - and that was over a week ago. A few days ago, I reached out to Steve to see if he could help, but he also did not respond. What is a bummer is we were going to go with these guys, because I liked their customer service (at first) and their business model of being up front and honest. However, we have now scheduled with someone else. 2FL gave me such a runaround that I wouldn't recommend them at all. It's a huge waste of time. It's one thing to make a mistake on the phone and just apologize and explain it (as he could have in response to my last email) but to completely ignore customers is downright rude, especially since I was polite the entire time. Before deciding on a company to re-do the siding on my house, I checked 3 companies. 2FL's was in the middle, but one of the things that sold me was the company being local and not using outside contractors. The reviews here are all over the map, though, so that caused some concern. The job started mid May, but wasn't finished until mid June. I have a small house; the supervisor assured me that the whole job would be done in 2 weeks, max - gutters and all. But one of the workers was sick for several days so only one person was working on the house most of the time. Toward the end of the project, the electricity on one side of the house was out when I came home. That wasn't good. Flipping the breakers didn't fix it - the workman did correct the error the next day. I had the gutters replaced by the same company. It turns out those jobs are contracted out. It was almost two weeks after the siding was completed before I was even contacted by this contractor (I had made 3 calls to 2FL reps). In the meantime, it rained. No gutters meant mud splashed on the new siding. Small things weren't finished, like replacing the house numbers (I left them out and we were clear that they needed to go up) or the front porch sill guard. I'll need to do those things myself, I guess. There was a little debris left, but nothing major. Mainly, the folks I dealt with were professional. I did have questions about the bill, but that was resolved quickly. I would recommend this company. Four stars because the work dragged out longer than I had been told to expect. read more

I'm writing an update after speaking with the owner of the company. I will say I was impressed to see the company reach out based on the original review, that speaks a lot to me. I'm giving 4 stars not 5 because 1) I don't know if the salesman we worked with was actually removed and 2) I feel the company should have screened and been more aware what was being said and going on, especially with a salesman who claimed to be with the company for years. I will say if you plan on going with this company for work, I feel confident to say if you have a problem, the owner will work with you and will listen, and that's something rare in today's world. read more

In 2015, Simeon from 2FL came to my home to bid on some upstairs windows. The bid was a bit high for me and I got other bids. I ultimately decided to not install upstairs windows for awhile. A couple weeks ago Jan./Feb. 2016), I saw a 2FL window ad for 25 percent off labor and windows. Thinking I could possibly get a better price now, I called to ask about the 25 percent 'deal.' The woman I spoke to didn't know anything about it and said she would ask someone in the store. I was surprised she knew nothing about it. She never called me back. Several weeks later, I saw their ad again and decided to try one more time. This time, I spoke to Chris, and asked about the 25 percent off. He told me he would have Simeon make an appointment with me and I could have my questions answered then. Simeon was scheduled to come to my home at 11:00 a.m., a couple weeks after my call. On the morning of our appointment, he called to ask me if he had been to my home before, to discuss windows. I hadn't remembered him, specifically, or what his bid was, specifically. That is because I had several other bids. But when he described my house, I remembered who he was. I acknowledged I remembered him and a bid for upstairs windows. I explained I wanted this appointment to discuss downstairs windows. I asked about the 25 percent off. I got no genuine answer. I felt as if I had to justify why I was interested in a 25 percent discount. I told him window installation is expensive and I was just trying to find out if this could now be within my budget. He seemed insulted by my comment. Instead of giving me a straight answer about a discount, he told me he could not do the job for me. I am feeling as if this was just a gimmick to get people to call them. Not one person would confirm or even talk to me about a 25 percent off. Wondering what other peoples' experiences have been. I am disgusted with it. I am not rating them on their windows or their installation. I am rating them on their terrible customer service and possible false advertising. read more

In the summer of 2019, we had a windows replacement project in condominium complex in Bellevue. 2FL did an excellent job. The entire project was perfectly organized and managed. The windows and sliding doors have been installed on a highly professional level. Any little concern or question have been addressed immediately. The communication level was great. We really appreciate 2FL for their patience and flexibility in resolving a few challenges we had during the installation. They started and finished the project on time, which is not always the case with other vendors. We did a lot of renovations in our complex and worked with a lot of vendors.
