A lot of $$ was spent as I received a large-ish bouquet ( she is still using wallpaper in plain clear vase instead of the nice vases depicted in the photos) That I must admit appeared pretty. That said, after filling daily- it almost made it 4 days - so not fresh! The purple lilies and orange buds ( also lilies) never opened, baby roses were already dried out. Now- the gift basket. It was nicely packaged and there were some interesting things in it. There were 4 bath balms ( no ingredient labels) and upon using one- I was shocked at what occurred in the water. It turned the clean tub into a huge mess that looked and felt something like oily pond scum with small black chunks sinking to the bottom. It also STAINED my skin and ends of my dark hair GREEN! I won't be using the other three because you can tell by the label that they were made by the same person. They just had a typed label with what I assumed was supposed to be the "scent"-there are no scents with any of them, or any of the other products, just color. There was a small soy based candle that said it was lavender. It smells of rancid oil, again, no scent - other than the rancid. There also were 2 price tags left on a couple items. Basket contained the above plus dental floss, q-tips, a bar of soap ( kind of pretty but also no scent?!) in a loofah type bag ( I do like that for soaps) And natural loofah sponge which I love, a toothbrush, plain lip balm, and a bag filled w/rice for your neck- no scent/herbs in it either. I will be going down there with some of the items I mentioned above and see what she has to say. Judging from the 2 price tags left on the items, this too was a very expensive basket. The items were not hand selected by the man who ordered it for me for my birthday- some seem a bit unusual? Over all- presentation was nice but she takes the cheap rout while charging exorbitant prices and gets angry when questioned about anything as you can see by several other customers comments.

Bonnie and Gene Schmidt were sure hard to say goodbye to! They greeted us warmly, shared their…read morelove of trees and lavender with us and gave us a "info tour" to boot! Wow, we did not expect it to be so hot! But hot or not Bonnie and Gene were master hosts. We learned so much - who knew there were so many varieties of lavender - even culinary lavender! And the gifts Bonnie makes with the lavender - I wanted one of each. I did manage to snag several scoops of lavender to bring home that wonderful smell. I also picked up a large hardanger sachet that is beautiful (hand stitched) and filled with - you guessed it - lavender! While Gene was relating stories of his tree farm days, Bonnie went into the house and brought out lavender lemonade as well as the most delicious lavender shortbread cookies I've ever tasted! YUM! It was like we were expected friends just dropping by to share some time together. What a delightful time - I'll be sure to return if the opportunity presents itself.

I shared that the arrangement was for someone who lost a family member and I didn't want it to look "funeral like." I just spoke to the manager and I was disheartened how she did not hear what I was telling her. There was no empathy or validation, rather she wanted to debate or philosophize about what they delivered. I'm disappointed that I paid $90 for this, and I'm let down that my friend didn't get a cheery arrangement. I used to work for a florist and I'm surprised about all the dreary filler you put in here. I was so disappointed when I arrived to pick it up. It was much shorter than pictured and not much yellow. The gal that helped me was nice enough and tried adding a couple other items to add some height, but just not what I'd ordered or expected. I had heard such great things about this place. I should have turned and walked out when I placed my order. The store was dark and depressing inside. No lovely flower displayes. No catalog to choose an arrangement from. I finally had to look online to show the gal what I wanted. After comizerating over it, I finally ended up going to Safeway and picked up 2 lovely bouquets (less than $30). I removed the brown roses and added everything from the 2 bouquets. It was now something I won't be embraced to display in honor of my mother.
