I have been coming to 2NE1 Nails since they opened. They've gone through some changes over the years but I stuck with them and I don't regret it. I love that I can pay through phone apps. I don't usually have cash on my but they do have an atm so there is that option. I love the new UV Gel as an alternative to acrylic. I've been getting gel paint for years but now they have a hard gel "filler" if you will that hardens by uv light. It stung just for a few seconds when I put my hands under the UV light as I got the initial full set but the fill didn't hardly sting at all. Definitely worth the results. I Love It here. read more

This is unfortunate. I broke my own rule. Never use someone you're not already familiar with before going to a special event. My normal nails are usually just short, seeing I do a lot of gardening, so all I wanted was acrylic nails - maybe I got the wrong kind?- just wanted them for the weekend. At quick glance, they look ok, but if you loook at them, one is on crooked and the thickness of the same finger on each hand was a different thickness. However I couldn't take a picture of both hands because I had to hold the camera. I didn't notice this until after I got home. While the nail tech was putting this white goo of sorts on, I asked what it was and the tech said it's hard to explain.. (?) so I didn't get an answer. Ok..I'm not the type of guy that would ever come to a place to get their feet done. To be honest, I don't even know what I got done to my feet. Was it what the ladies call a manicure? Or is it called a Pedi? I have no clue..But my wife Tai ask if I wanted to go with her. So I figure ok, my feet can use some help. I'm in steel toed boots for stretches of 12hrs a day. So off we went. Tai is use to these nail shops, so off into nirvana she went. While her feet was soaking in the colored warm water. I was not sure what to do so I followed her lead and soak my feet as well. With a few gentle taps on my leg, the lady providing the service work on each foot. I have to admit getting your feet done by a professional is totally different than doing it yourself. I normally use a 6 inch tactical knife and a scraper. Update: 12/2021 Three star at best - depending on who is giving you a manicure or pedicure. My last visit to them was in the past three months. Quality of the gel manicure and pedicures are just not as good as before. Rushed. Not a relaxed experience. The "massage" you get at the end of your manicure is like a perfunctory quick application of lotion over your hands. There were a few good manicurists at this salon years ago but they are long gone. They only accept cash. I almost always am low on cash. I had to go to my bank (the Bank of America across the street) last time because I was not going to pay a surcharge to take out cash from their "convenient" in-store cash machine. Convenient for who? Positives: -relatively affordable -offered retouching the day after what had happened (see below) Negatives: -they need to tone it down with the cuticle trimming - it was not just a paper cut like injury as I could not get the bleeding to stop for a good few hours. The person who did my nails was flustered and kept putting on a tiny piece of paper towel on it when what needed to be done was to just apply pressure with a bandaid. Obviously the nails were ruined especially as I kept using my hands to stop the bleeding on the car ride home and they did offer to do retouching. What's concerning the most is that I'm not sure if they really "sanitize" the equipment properly especially after a bleeding incident like this. The pictures are from the day after when I had the retouching done and you can see bloody scabs on the ring finger and pinky. -quality of the polish application itself is not great: the person who did my nails was careless with applying the top coat (see pictures) which is most apparent on the middle finger (pic 1) and this is after the retouching. Initially I did not want to be "that person" who always complains about things since mistakes can occur and especially since I didn't even pay for this myself (my sister gifted me with this). But I felt compelled to say something especially for the health/sanitary concerns. TLDR: if you're pretty good at doing regular nails yourself, do not pay to go here. If you're not good at it and you're willing to risk a bleeding injury, go for it. read more

I've been coming here for about a year now, ever since I left AK nails and spa up the street. I have never been disappointed. I even have friends and family coming here. Very professional. Although I haven't gotten a manicure here yet, they always do a great job on my pedicures. Prices start at $25 for a basic pedi. I usually get the "spa pedicure" $35 package (see picture) I've also noticed the best time to come is during the day. If you plan on receiving a service in the evening or weekend I highly suggest making an appointment. Connected next door is a nice little massage spot. Yeah.... I know that I almost always review restaurants.... but this experience was so bad that I have to warn those of you who may be considering this place. I was here once before today... and that time my experience was fair... nothing great, but this is (was... more on that in a bit) a $25 Asian nail place.... so I definitely did not go in expecting a spa-like experience. Both times I called ahead to make an appointment for the basic $25 pedicure. Yes.... I specified both the price and what I wanted.... as well as the time. The first time when I arrived the place was pretty busy and I had to wait about 15 minutes. But when I was seated in the pedicure chair the hot water was already in the basin.... and I was given a nice long time to soak. My feet and legs were massaged, toenails clipped and filed and buffed, and all of the rough areas on my heels "sanded" away. The nail polish was applied a bit thickly resulting in a less than perfectly smooth appearance.... but hey. It was a $25 pedicure. I gave the woman a $5 tip and was happily on my way. Today the place was empty except for the man who appears to own the place and the young woman who was assigned to my pedicure. I was shown to my seat and the basin was empty. I placed my feet in the plastic-wrapped bowl and the woman began to fill it with luke-warm water. Then, with barely a moment to soak to allow for softening of my feet or even a bit of relaxation, I was told to lift my first foot. The old polish was removed and my nails were clipped and then it was back into the water for a mini-soak while the same was done to the other foot. Moments later both of my feet were taken out of the tub and my legs and feet were slathered with lotion and given a perfunctory massage. They were then wiped off with a warm towel and the polish was applied. No scrubbing. No buffing. No callous "sanding". Moments later I was ushered to a seating area to dry. Why the rush? No one was waiting for a pedicure. The whole experience (prior to sitting and drying) was 19 minutes. I know because I arrived promptly for my 2:00 appointment, and when I went to occupy myself with my phone in the "drying area", it was 2:19. After drying I went to pay. I was told by the man I assume is the owner that it was $30 (not the $25 I paid previously and confirmed on the phone). Oh... and it's cash-only (not cash-preferred as it had been last time). I asked about the increase in price and was told that it went up in September. But none of the signs indicate the price change. I reluctantly handed over the cash and headed to the door without tipping the woman who gave me my pedicure. Maybe that makes me a jerk.... but when the "owner" started (literally!) screaming at me for not tipping in front of the other two customers who had then arrived for gel manicures.... I told him to give her the extra $5 I was (over) charged for my sub-par and less-than-20-minute pedicure. Obviously (!!!) I will NOT be back! read more

Great job as usual. I went on 9/18/2020 10 am. I have been here 6-7 times over the past 3 years. Different pedicurist each time but they all LISTENED to what I wanted each time! I usually do french tip gel (uv) polish pedicure. The white is never too thick and because I ask for clear polish only, they last a good 4-5 weeks. I just trim the ends as needed! I ALWAYS forget to ask the name of the pedicurist, but honestly have never had a bad pedicure here. They had each station enclosed by soft plastic shield, and the owner/employees were masked amd gloved. I wore a mask also as required. I think I was first customer of the day so I wasn't there to see how they sanitize between customers but again, never have contracted anything there before so wouldn't expect to catch covid 19 now. I moved to Grand Island in April 2020 but choose to continue getting pedis done here. Loved that I could make the appt through yelp messaging. I spent $100 here yesterday getting mine & my 2 year old daughters nails done. (Our services were $85, i tipped $15) hers were $20 for regular polish. Within 3 hours, my daughters finger & toenail polish had come all the way off and so had my toenail polish. I called them before they closed and the owner assured me that he would fix it if I came in today when they first opened. I come in and he demands that I tip the lady who's fixing my daughters nails. He said that because they were redoing them for free, I had to tip her. I told him that I just spent $100 here yesterday just for her nail polish to come all the way off and he said "$100 isn't the problem, it's because she's a kid" Except that's not the case. Because she sat still and let them dry while we were there and she wasn't in a pool or anything that should've caused them to come off. And my toes came off too, but I'm not a kid? So what's the excuse there? I used to like this place but I'll never come here again. To waste my money yesterday just for them to demand I tip today when they're redoing something that THEY messed up??? I don't recommend this place to anyone. I came here because I received a gift card from my awesome daughter last year. They are professional, very quick and I love the reflexology massages next door. I honestly would rate them 3.5 stars because they are too fast for my liking. The owner Benny is welcoming and runs a tight ship. He does very well with gel nails too. I saw a sign outside the salon stating $20 pedicures and it peaked my interest. I can't say my pedicure here was the best I've ever had, it was pretty standard. I think maybe if I upgraded to a higher level than the basic then it would have been a bit better. I would have liked a bit more massage, or some more time to soak in the tub. The end result was good though, my pedicure looked great and lasted for a solid 3 weeks before chipping. For the $20 price tag I would come again. read more

I called ahead for an appointment for a gel manicure. It appeared they had wanted to close early, but not my problem, they took the appointment. I was constantly told I wasn't holding my hands right, though following every direction. l There was almost no selection of designs... there were some nail tattoos out but was told they didn't work. Was shown a page of plain glittery polishes, nothing interesting. I had been ready to spend more, but there wasn't anything there. I would have given 4 stars-still, but there is a big problem. The manicurist, male, is apparently a smoker and (remembered later) didn't wash his hands after the previous client. My hands smelled horrifically of tobacco. I finally realized what it was and washed with orange antibacterial soap at home. They also didn't do any hand massage or put lotion on afterwards in comparison to other places that even charge less. I was underwhelmed. Edit: It's worse. The polish started lifting from the bottom within a couple days, the edges on top chipping. They weren't sealed properly. The dremel was used too much. I just got my nails done on Thursday of last week. I work in the area and thought about trying the new location out. Yes I understand my nails are short however, the quality of work that was performed was terrible. The color is extremely spotty and streaky, the gel doesn't go anywhere close to the end and my cuticles were so red and sore from them clipping too much. The salon appeared to be clean. I got the $35 pedicure (upgrade) and dip nails. The pedicure was not good but not horrible. However the polish application is horrendous. About half way through the dip nails I realized the tech was practicing on me. Another tech was standing over her taking notes and giving her direction. The owner then came over to inspect my nails. 1 week later and my nails are chipped and lifting up near the cuticle. Worst nail salon experience I've ever had. It was also very slow. On my birthday, I went in for my normal pedicure. My daughter treated me. It was a quiet, calm experience and I truly enjoyed myself. I got the pedicure with rock message. It was the first time with the rocks, and it really got a few of the knots in my legs and arches. The owner came in and recognized my hubby from previous visits and told us about his new extension next door. He explained that they have opened a reflexology, acupressure and message place up next door and asked if we would like to try. We got an acupressure message for 30 minutes, as it was close to closing time, but every minute of it was so relaxing. They have even had a few remodels and upgrades over the last year that I feel adds to the space. Like better ventilation, comfortable seats with message for pedicures, pretty chiffon cloth hanging from the ceiling, sitting and laying message tables and a warm and calm environment that makes it feel like home. They also allow drop ins, so if you need a quick correction on a chipped nail, want to pamper yourself or have a last minute event you have to attend and be your best they have always been willing and able to help. My nail polish lasted for 2 weeks before chipping and that is with even wearing boots on my feet which says a lot. read more

This is my second time coming to 2ne1 Nails, and the first time in their new location. I walked in at 10:30 and asked if they accepted walk ins for pedicures, which they do if they aren't extremely busy. At 10:30 on a Monday morning, they weren't busy. The salon is extremely clean and I love that they use a disposable liner for every chair. It gives me a piece of mind. I got the $25 pedicure that they broadcast and it was similar to a deluxe pedicure that you get elsewhere so for $25 it was so worth it. It included a leg scrub and massage, cutting and filing the nails, and buffing the feet. They gave me ample time to pick my color and I never felt rushed. The owners seem to be a family and each one of them are so sweet. My original color I picked was too light and she was so understanding when I wanted a darker color. They accept card but prefer cash due to the high processing fee. They have an ATM on site and reimburse you the ATM fee. Credit card purchases have to be above $38. They truly deserve the 5 stars and I would never go anywhere else for a pedicure! read more

A year ago if you asked me for my review, I'd give 5 stars. As of yesterday. Two. And that's generous. I've been going here the last 3 years, and they've been great. Even after the pandemic , really good. All it takes is one bad experience and I'm done. Yesterday I walked in, one pedicure client being worked on. I said who I was and what I was there for after previously booking my appointment. Acrylic nails was what I wanted. My nails have taken a vacation all summer, and I had been looking forward to this. Anyway, some dialogue between me and my "technician". She is overly curt and CLEARLY does not like her job. After telling her what I want, she laughs and starts talking to another girl in a different language. However, I don't need to understand the language to know what she was saying about me. Obviously I was the butt of the joke. I had also referred a friend here. After really talking the place up on my previous experiences. The technician was just as rude and unpleasant to her as she was to me. I could look the other way had it been just her, but the entire vibe of the other staff was like that. When I booked the appointment initially, I was told we couldn't be accommodated with the original day we wanted. He suggested we go somewhere else. Click. Normally I'd not take offense to that, but it was his nonchalant and "you're bothering me" tone that set me uneasy. Then the dial tone. I called back not thinking he'd hung up on me. A small business couldn't operate like that. Well after yesterday, I guess they are. Going forward I will take his advice, and go somewhere else. With how small businesses in the area are closing, one would think treating customers as valued customers would be first and foremost. To the owner, hopefully you'll read this and address your staff.
