Jo Anne was timely and gave clear instructions for preparations and location. I received all work as promised and Jo Anne even included a few extra shots as so many came out beautifully. The first session was two years ago and I truly believe my daughter received more audition calls as a result of how great her headshots came out. We just completed new head shots and these are just as wonderful. During the photo shoots Jo Anne was easy-going and made my daughter very comfortable. She showed her how to pose to get the most out of the session, and explained many aspects about lighting, positioning, hairstyle and clothing that was a wealth of information that we've already used to help with self-tape auditions. My daughter had a blast! I'll also note that Jo Anne is very flexible. We had to cancel with short notice due to an accident and it was not a problem to reschedule the session. I can't stress how important it is to like more than just the quality of the product that your wedding vendors provide, but also like the wedding vendor herself/himself - especially your wedding photographer who will be with you through all the excitement, inevitable stress, and happiness of the day. Natasha is the kind of person who puts the mind at ease - she doesn't add to the stress of a wedding, but instead actually diffused it for me. Her bubbly and genuinely caring personality is a rare find, if you asked me. Couple that with the quality of Natasha's photos and I would say she'd go unmatched in the industry. During our engagement photo shoot (which Natasha does to get a couple comfortable with being photographed by her in advance of the wedding), there were so many laughs which made for heartwarming shots, and there were also photographs which only someone with vision could capture. Natasha turned a small pond into what appeared to be a great lake with the angles and lenses that she used. She also wasn't afraid to do anything to get the perfect shot. We were out at Jamaica Bay in a swampy area and a giant centipede nearly crawled up Natasha's face. There were some screams and giggles, but Natasha carried on doing what she loves. Natasha and I met in advance right before our wedding to discuss all the details and review a questionnaire she distributes to all her clients so they can indicate what's important, what family sensitivities might exist, etc. She really goes the extra mile and it totally shows once you receive the final product! For our Hindu wedding, every single detail was captured in the most natural element, every step in the rituals so poetically documented through Natasha's photos - including my tearful eyes. For our reception, the photos were romantic but also so much fun and spontaneous-looking! Natasha stayed even as most of the guests had left - ensuring that she captured the most hilarious and action-packed shots on the dance floor. We relied on the Moss team for our engagement pictures, wedding pictures and DVD, as well as photo albums and DVD compilation. The pictures and DVD came out great and we are very happy with the parents' album (still waiting for ours). Living in the city, I priced out a lot of photographers and I found Moss to be the most cost efficient for the packages they provide. I worked with Yoomi, who went through the whole contract and sat down with me to show the different products they offer. Sung was my photographer and he shot my engagement shoot and my wedding. My engagement photos was during the Summer and he weathered all the elements with us (humidity, heat, sun, etc). We brought props to the shoot and he worked with us creatively in getting the perfect shot. For my wedding, Sung arrived on time and ready to work. BTW my wedding in another city with a 2 hour travel time so he came on time and excited to start my wedding day. Regarding the wedding, he shoots every moment as they go along and nothing is staged. I thought he did a fantastic job. I didn't provide him with a photo list since I trusted him to capture all the major moments of the wedding and he did. Of course, I wish I had more but I already had 700+ photos and with the craziness of the day... I couldn't keep track of where I was or where my family members were to get the perfect photo. Also, I received my wedding photos in 3 weeks! I may be a special exception since I know some people wait 3+ months! Regarding the final photo product, I mean, I was self critical of my photos and pointing out my double chin and some back fat but I got over it really quick since it's what I look like. If i saw these photos online, say on a wedding blog, I'd swoon over them. If I hired them to photoshop all of my 400+ of photos, they'd be a God! I'm currently working on putting together my albums but I have full faith in them to do a great job. I guess it's all personal preference but I wish I can redo the whole process again with them!
