To me, a five-star Yelp review marks a restaurant that has overall exceptional service, food, and atmosphere. It's somewhere I'd visit again and again, and it's a spot that I'd recommend to friends with no hesitation. That all describes this 2sp Taphouse! The food is really good--they have brewpub classics but also experiment with global flavors. The prices are competitive and the happy hour is a fantastic deal. I recommend the buffalo wings, smash burger, shrimp tacos, and Parmesan fries. The birria quesadilla and hummus are also great. The avocado toast is a newer menu item that I really enjoyed; I wouldn't think to put kimchi on avocado toast, but it works. It is also nice to see plenty of options for vegetarians. There are lots of 2sp beers on tap--the 2sp Brewing Company is local to the area--and they also have some cocktails. And don't skip dessert, the bread pudding is outstanding. The staff are friendly and usually pretty fast, especially during less-busy weekday times. The restaurant feels cozy but is actually somewhat spacious. This place is great for catching a game with friends--lots of large TVs throughout the restaurant, mostly concentrated at the bar in the front--and it's also good for families. The other Yelp reviews are true, this 2sp is outstanding.

We came to 2SP for Saturday night dinner. It's a huge restaurant, with booths and tables available. There's a small bar on the right side of entrance. The restaurant appeared little gloomy and smelly to me, maybe cause of outrageous heat outside. The staff were super nice as they hurdled to setup our table, then hurdled again to setup our table again, when we requested to seat outside. The menu has bunch of drinks wine, beer, sangria. They have happy hour as well. I liked the strawberry peach sangria, very subtle taste of alcohol in it. Food wise I like pretty much all the things I tried. Very nice garlic parmesan fries. Bacon mussels were cooked very nice with yummy sauce. Shrimp tacos came in a pair, with avocado paste, mango, and cabbage. I wish it came with some sort of salsa sauce that would have completed the dish. The hangover burger also looked so delicious. The service was great throughout the dinner. Our waitress was very friendly. The food came out in decent pace. Overall we had a really wonderful chill dinner. Although I felt food wise it was 4 star, but an extra star just for outstanding friendly service they provided.

Dry, squished, previously frozen for too long bun.

This place simply doesn't have good food. We tried it twice hoping that if we ordered something different, it would be better but both my husband and I were unhappy each time. The smash burgers are really really greasy and the buns tasted like they were previously frozen for way too long and then thawed out and served. The buns were dry and they cracked as a dry bun does. Between the greasy burger meat and the dry cracked bun it was terrible. Would it have killed them to put a nice sauce or fancy mayonnaise on the burger? There was literally nothing on the burger to moisten it (except for the yucky grease) like a sauce would have done for a dry bun. Our server looked more interested in getting out of there than we did.

Special Tuesday drinks and food with Amigo Dan. I saw 2SP had a special Mushroom sandwich on facebook. I think the best vegan cheesesteak is made with oyster mushrooms. For our purposes, the mushroom sandwich is a vegan cheesesteak. Spoiler alert, we liked it. Great stop. You'll see in the video Amigo Dan liked his coconut beer. Everyone was great. I look forward to using my lunch punch card soon.

Nothing better on a Friday night but an end of summer salmon berry salad and a few drinks. The salad was a very nice blend of summer and fall as it had both strawberries and pomegranate seeds throughout the greens. The salmon was very nice but a bit beyond medium for my taste. The strawberry lemontini was refreshing but not very strong in alcohol content so if you need a little more punch to start the weekend, I would go with the whiskey stone sour. The chronkie wasn't what I expected and I could do without to be honest. In terms of the kid's menu items they are on the smaller side so good for little ones with smaller appetites.

I have been to this place once for lunch and once for dinner now. The first time I sat next to the bar where they opened the garage like windows. It was very cool to be shaded from the sun yet breathe the fresh air from outside. The cocktail was great! The beers we had last night were also wonderful. I had the 10.5% Pollinator, and my husband had the Strawberry Hefeweizen. It was my husband's second time getting a burger and my second time getting a salad. Both times we were not disappointed. We also got the Beerbiscuits as an appetizer. I loved the honey butter. Could have been a little softer, but the flavor was great. Service was excellent and this time we sat outside with plenty of shade from the awning. Last night they were playing '90s music, which we loved. I will definitely be coming back with my Yelp Elite friends, Sharon and Nehal!

A great little happy hour spot with awesome brews! We started with the pimento dip and mussels. And then ordered the Berry Bubbly Arugula. Everything was very yummy. The addition of the crackers for the pimento dip gave it a great option. The salad was very light and fresh. The pomegranate seeds gave it a pleasant hidden crunch. The mussels left me wanting more, like an entree portion instead. The atmosphere was fun with the windows open and the weather outside perfect. A great spot to enjoy local beers.

Cozy, comfortable noisy but fun atmosphere. Wings are really big only disappointing all sauces are hot no mild. Nice selection of burgers including "build your own". Nice homemade potato included with sandwiches. Burgers a little on the small side but not enough to be a deal breaker.

Great Gastropub with excellent booths to watch NFL games! Great food and service makes this place stand out from similar places around downtown Wilmington. Definitely coming back!

Best new place around hands down. The people who make the best beer in all of Pennsylvania now make some incredibly good food to go with it. The double tap is maybe my favorite burger out there. The menu is filled with a range of delicious options and the specials are always outstanding.

This homey tavern offers excellent service and the food overall is consistently very good. They have fresh buck-a-shuck oysters and clams at happy hour and all day Thursdays. The baked clams are simply magnificent! Their chicken wings are large and well spiced with a nice glaze. Their burger is a classic style tavern burger - perfectly cooked and juicy. The French fries are pretty darn good too! The wild striped bass entree is excellent as well. Fresh striper that is flaky, delicate - typically this is one of my go-tos. The variety of desserts are very good and big enough to be shared. Enjoy!

There were near 100 cars in the lot and still space to park somehow! The place was packed when we got there but we were seated in a minute! And in that time we were told by other staff that they'd be there shortly. Once seated, our server came by a few times in the 5 minutes we spent deciding on what to get haha and plenty while we were dining. I say this because it's not often you see such a packed restaurant feel like such an efficiently well oiled machine. We were there to see the band and some friends so we just got the pulled pork truffle fries, which, mind you, were some of the best fried we've had anywhere! What a pleasant surprise, as we were just grabbing a quick bite to share before having to head off. The ambiance was great, which I'd wager to be the case even without the music seeing the elegance of the decor and whatnot. The whole place was clean, not an issue in sight. Props to all the staff and management at the Chadds Ford Tavern!

We made the trek up from Wilmington after seeing that the Bottle Room's tap list included a unique beer from a Knoxville brewery that we'd loved at a beer fest but had never found in our area since (Xul's PBJ Mixtape sour beer, a delicious and mind-blowing sour that somehow genuinely tastes like peanut butter, grape jelly, and white bread!). Props to Bottle Room for sourcing from both local microbreweries, but also from other delicious breweries around the country! Since our goal was beer, we hadn't put much thought into the food, so we were very nicely surprised that every bite was delicious, and we're already scheming which of our PA friends might want to meet us there in the future. We started with their tuna tostada special --- won ton chips with tuna poke, edamame, avocado, and some sort of wasabi dressing. This was challenging to eat, but absolutely worth the mess. Husband ordered their smash burger with truffle fries, which was a very solid and flavorful burger, and the truffle fries had excellent texture and flavor. I opted for their Ratatouille special, which offered the usual vegetable medley served over zucchini bread (a unique touch!) with burrata. The zucchini bread was a little bit sweet and a little soft, but the overall flavors came together nicely. We were happy to learn they offer crowlers as well, so you can take your favorite beers to go!

We were promptly seated in a mostly full dining area just to the right of the entrance around 12:30 pm on a Thursday. The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between tables though the booths are a tad tight. A large bar area with lots of TVs looked appealing as well. Drinks were quickly ordered and served as we perused the menu. While we had both looked at the menu prior to coming, and had an idea of what we wanted, there were so many appealing options that we second guessed a little as we made the tough decisions to not order way more than we could consume. Finally we decided on The Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with fries, the Ribeye Cheesesteak with fries, and a bowl of the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese with the agreement to split the sandwiches and mac & cheese so we could both try additional items. Three very full and visually appealing plates of food arrived quickly (about 10-12 minutes after ordering) and we were ready to dig in. First up was the Ribeye Cheesesteak with caramelized stout onions, truffled local mushrooms, and sharp provolone on a Liscio's roll. Immediately viewable was the limited amount of cheese that was only lining the roll and not mixed into the meat in any way. Biting into the sandwich revealed a dry meat with a distinctly non-cheesesteak flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just tasted like a bland steak and cheese sandwich. The sharp provolone didn't make it to the party and had no noticeable presence. After eating half of my portion I added some ketchup which helped some with the dryness. This was a 25 out of 5 and I wouldn't bother ordering it again. I also started to consume the shoestring french fries while I ate the cheesesteak, and they were delicious. Crisp with just the right amount of salt. 4.5 out of 5. Next up was the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with thinly shaved Black Angus beef that is roasted daily, served with Au Jus, and horseradish sauce on a long roll. Topped with cheese and loaded with meat, this is what I was most looking forward to and couldn't wait to take a bite. I wish I hadn't! By itself, this was probably the blandest sandwich I have ever had in my life, while dipping into the Au Jus definitely improved the flavor, it still wasn't enough. I tried adding the horseradish sauce, but that was a sad approximation of real horseradish. Worst of all was the meat itself, where I had three different bites that were fatty/gristly and couldn't be chewed. Can't say I've ever had that from a roast beef sandwich before. 1.5 out of 5. Lastly, we had the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese consisting of cavatappi pasta, applewood smoked bacon, and some diced tomato. This was sadly also a disappointment. The quality of the cheese left something to be desired and the sauce was very runny in consistency even after letting it sit for 10 mins while everything else was eaten. Another bland dish that neither of us even bothered to finish or box up to take home. Ketchup couldn't save this. 2 out of 5. Other than the fries, the only other bright spot was the service. Our waitress Isabella was polite, attentive, and performed her job well. Refilling drinks and making sure we were taken care of. 5 out of 5 for service. Affordability... for the three dishes and two Diet Cokes the total came to $57.27 with tax plus a $12 tip. The portion sizes were strong, but the flavor eliminated any value proposition. Overall, the food looked far better than it tasted and I was really disappointed in the meal. I had hoped I'd found a good local pub to take family and friends, but The Stone Tavern doesn't cut it. 2 out of 5 rating with no good reason to return.
