    Inception burger
    Matthew B.

First time there in its current incarnation. The place was packed and I can see why. Great selection of beer on tap, live music and great food with large portions and decent prices. Inception burger was to die for and the charred brussels sprouts were great. If there was a downside it was that the service was a bit slower than I'd like and that they don't manage to combine the check from the bar and the "restaurant" together --even though the bar and the restaurant are "together". Will definitely make another trip.

This place is a diamond in the rough! It's location is off the beaten path which makes it very quant and the wooded scenery is very comforting to sit in ! It removes you from the hustle and bustle of all that's going on in the world ! They have live music and music trivia and every night they have different specials to choose from and they usually are all very delicious and foods from different parts of the country , each entree is made from scratch so the wait on your order is longer than other places but your food is fresh and prepared with passion because the chef actually enjoys and cares about what is served to his customers ! Lately the service has been not as good but that is mainly due to having new servers who aren't experienced or have had training but that's fixable and they will fix it but right now in any buisness it's not easy to find people yo hire and it's hard to find people who have good work ethics who know how to work hard with good customer service skills , but that's not here every employee is nice and tries to make every customer have a great positive experience and with more experience the servers here will become great but the food is perfection and always tasty !! Love going here and the owners are great people , very personable and they are very down to earth and very interested in how you are being taken care of and if you are enjoying your food and if not they will do what is needed to make you happy !! Forgot to mention all the different options of drinks to choose from !! They have tons of beers on tap , local and country wide made and world wide made beers are on tap here

I've heard good things about the Righteous Tap House and since we went for a walk on a trail close by, we decided to stop in for lunch. I think I ordered every beer that they were out of but the waitress was nice and made some great recommendations to substitute what I was looking for. I ordered the Friend Chicken Sandwich and the husband had the Chicken and Waffles. He really enjoyed his and I have to say that the gravy on top of the chicken and waffles was so good. My fried chicken sandwich was really good too. They give you a big piece of chicken with cheese and peppers. The atmosphere of the restaurant isn't much to boast about but as long as they keep on having good food and beer then I shall return.

    Great selection!

Gone are the days of mediocre beer and overpriced food! Whoaaaa, this new bar is such a huge step up from what I've experienced through the years of visiting. It's basically like transferring from dccc to Yale. My friend and I stopped in today after hearing such great things about this newer spot. This place is absolutely beautiful. I kept walking around taking pictures. You're welcome Yelp. ;) whoever decorated this place should be on HGTV. The male urinal was a keg. Historically this could be my first yelp review that mentioned the mens urinal but hey it was noteworthy. Multiple items on the menu caught my eye but I wasn't very hungry so I settled on the hummus plate. My friend ordered the inquisition burger. Saying he devoured it is an understatement. I even made a Snapchat story showcasing his contest like speed. When I say it had at least 12 views I'm not embellishing. Lol. My hummus was very good! Such a great portion. Would be good for 2-3 people to share. Fresh pita was served with kalamata olives, roasted peppers, cucumbers in addition to the hummus with feta. The draft beer list was broad to say the least and the helpful bartender helped me sample to see what I liked best. They had 3 plus sours on the menu which is a rarity from my experiences. Righteous Taphouse exceeded all expectations! I look forward to my return and I intend to bring anyone and everyone I've ever known in my 30+ years of life. Welcome Righteous TH, do the community a favor and stick around!

It is a tiny building but they are doing it right! There is complimentary valet parking which was great because I have no idea where we would have parked. We were seated at exactly 4:30, and our server was friendly and fast. RJ and I ordered Downeast Peach Mango Cider which was refreshing and delicious. We started with crab and artichoke dip and beef and weck eggrolls, and our table ordered 2 fish and chips, the "Luxury" seafood pie, shepherd's pie, and the beef on weck sandwich. My weck included onions, mushrooms, swiss, and bacon with a side of au jus and horseradish. Yum, what a salty, savory, spicy combo. The roast beef was very tender and juicy. The fish and chips were all enjoyed, as were both pies. We did not make it to dessert but will try that again another time. We were in and out in about 1 hour without being rushed at all. We will definitely return to the Whip!

We were promptly seated in a mostly full dining area just to the right of the entrance around 12:30 pm on a Thursday. The dining room was spacious with plenty of room between tables though the booths are a tad tight. A large bar area with lots of TVs looked appealing as well. Drinks were quickly ordered and served as we perused the menu. While we had both looked at the menu prior to coming, and had an idea of what we wanted, there were so many appealing options that we second guessed a little as we made the tough decisions to not order way more than we could consume. Finally we decided on The Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with fries, the Ribeye Cheesesteak with fries, and a bowl of the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese with the agreement to split the sandwiches and mac & cheese so we could both try additional items. Three very full and visually appealing plates of food arrived quickly (about 10-12 minutes after ordering) and we were ready to dig in. First up was the Ribeye Cheesesteak with caramelized stout onions, truffled local mushrooms, and sharp provolone on a Liscio's roll. Immediately viewable was the limited amount of cheese that was only lining the roll and not mixed into the meat in any way. Biting into the sandwich revealed a dry meat with a distinctly non-cheesesteak flavor. It wasn't bad, but it just tasted like a bland steak and cheese sandwich. The sharp provolone didn't make it to the party and had no noticeable presence. After eating half of my portion I added some ketchup which helped some with the dryness. This was a 25 out of 5 and I wouldn't bother ordering it again. I also started to consume the shoestring french fries while I ate the cheesesteak, and they were delicious. Crisp with just the right amount of salt. 4.5 out of 5. Next up was the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich with thinly shaved Black Angus beef that is roasted daily, served with Au Jus, and horseradish sauce on a long roll. Topped with cheese and loaded with meat, this is what I was most looking forward to and couldn't wait to take a bite. I wish I hadn't! By itself, this was probably the blandest sandwich I have ever had in my life, while dipping into the Au Jus definitely improved the flavor, it still wasn't enough. I tried adding the horseradish sauce, but that was a sad approximation of real horseradish. Worst of all was the meat itself, where I had three different bites that were fatty/gristly and couldn't be chewed. Can't say I've ever had that from a roast beef sandwich before. 1.5 out of 5. Lastly, we had the Tomato, Bacon Mac & Cheese consisting of cavatappi pasta, applewood smoked bacon, and some diced tomato. This was sadly also a disappointment. The quality of the cheese left something to be desired and the sauce was very runny in consistency even after letting it sit for 10 mins while everything else was eaten. Another bland dish that neither of us even bothered to finish or box up to take home. Ketchup couldn't save this. 2 out of 5. Other than the fries, the only other bright spot was the service. Our waitress Isabella was polite, attentive, and performed her job well. Refilling drinks and making sure we were taken care of. 5 out of 5 for service. Affordability... for the three dishes and two Diet Cokes the total came to $57.27 with tax plus a $12 tip. The portion sizes were strong, but the flavor eliminated any value proposition. Overall, the food looked far better than it tasted and I was really disappointed in the meal. I had hoped I'd found a good local pub to take family and friends, but The Stone Tavern doesn't cut it. 2 out of 5 rating with no good reason to return.

Today, the food is just pretty okay and the service level is still the same. The bar area while quaint, can still be very loud as well. My wife loved to go to the tavern on a cold day to enjoy some of their delicious warm fondue while seated by the fire. Unfortunately, we recently visited to find that the fondue is no longer on the menu(?). I found it odd that the chef removed it because this was something they were known for locally(?). The tavern once served up two kinds of fondue with several accompaniments offered, then pared it down to one - now it's just "none" (after getting us addicted over all these years)! This, after taking my favorite crab nachos off the menu a few years ago as well. While most of the food is still fairly good it's hard to get my wife to go back after they discontinued the fondue and there is not much else on the existing appetizer menu we now like either. The Octopus is good but just seems out of place here. The wings are good, but everybody has wings. Dunno, maybe the menu will change soon for the better but until then we "may?" be back.

After my second hike no question that I wanted to come back here for another visit. Station Taproom is an attractive and comfortable pub with what I found to be an unexpected menu. Many dishes had an Asian influence, but with the additional plus of showcasing some exciting combinations of ingredients. VEGAN BANH MI ::: I had this on my first visit. The sandwich was made with plant-based meatballs, along with carrots, cucumber, plus much more in the mix. (I detected a note of hoisin in the mix, though not mentioned in the menu). "Meatballs" were definitely unexpected in a banh mi. WONTON NACHOS ::: On my second visit to the Taproom, which was last week, I had "wonton nachos". As per the menu, some of the ingredients were "hoisin-berry BBQ pork" as well as mozzarella and pepper jack, and wonton chips. Presentation was important, and I could see that they had spent extra time in plating the dish. A finishing touch was the "micro cilantro" that was delicately sprinkled over the top. I love cilantro, but had never seen it in "micro" form. It was very fresh, wondering now whether they grew it themselves. BEERS ::: On both my visits, "Rachel" made excellent recommendations for hazy IPA's. Great experiences both times.

But awesome all the same! For how busy they were, the server was very attentive and very accommodating as we were yapping away and constantly not ready with our orders so kuddos for the team and putting up with us! I love the mystery beer concept, its not great beer, but being from DC at like $2 a can, I am not passing that up, ever. And a cheap beer with a burger is the perfect combo! On to the burger... I have heard that this is a great burger... and I have to conclude that I agree though it is reminiscent of a Big Mac - just way better ingredients - it has to be the sauce they put on it... Anyway, nice size patty, good amount of toppings and a quality bun (not too soft, not too thick, bread soaks up some of the juices but doesn't fall apart). The mussels were quite excellent as well. It was a Thai curry broth the night we were there and it was drinkable, like soup... we did ask for extra bread... enough said. I am going to take a minute too and praise their spirit free cocktails. THIS IS HOW THEY SHOULD BE MADE. They used bitters, tonics, etc to craft something that tasted like a cocktail but without alcohol which means they were not sickly sugary concoctions, but expertly crafted beverages. Just really great options. All that said though, their espresso martini was one of the worst I have had. Just skip that.
