The batter held up beautifully, with each bite cleanly separating from the onion without any pull-apart mess. Overall, I'd be open to giving this place another try, perhaps with a different entrée, as I believe there's potential here, and those onion rings are definitely worth returning for.

Rest of the family was home cooking dinner so we were really just grabbing a beverage and an app to split. There was live music, had a very difficult time understanding what he was singing even though we knew the songs. Bartender was very chill and did a great job. Place was busy so reservations would be ideal rather than popping in. Second night the other half of my family came for dinner. We had an appetizer of buffalo cauliflower which was good. I enjoyed my shepherds pie, grandfather liked his fish & chips (which I seen a lot of people order the night before). My uncle had chicken wings while my cousin had chicken sandwich, both were pleased with their meals as well. I imagine there is a lot of traffic from the hotel in the same plaza. Parking can be very difficult later in the evening. One thing that aggravated me was the lack of care to keep a clean sidewalk free if ice and snow. I say this because my girlfriend is disabled and where the handicap parking spot is the ramp and the sidewalk leading to the main entrance was covered in snow. Not only that anyone who is elderly would have difficulties walking as well.

There are no pool tables just slot machines and a TON of huge TVs EVERYWHERE making it a decent sports bar. Price: 6/5, cheapest beer I've seen in any bar in the West Island as a non-special event thing: 20.88$/4L pitcher after 9pm on weekends every week. Service: 6/5, I love the crew there. They're nice, polite but homey and friendly. The Bartender Alex is my new Bff. Set-up: 3/5 Pretty crappy to be honest. Still looks like a bingo bar and no pool tables. Only 1 bar available but the place is relatively small. Gave it extra points for the back parking. Food: 3.5/5, decent for the price. Nothing to die for but it's good food. The staff makes up for anything though. The manager is ultra-super-friendly, the bartender and waitresses are GENUINELY friendly, none of that "Fake Smile for a tip" stuff. Free WiFi (just ask for the password, it doesn't change), you can bring food from Dominos/Couche-tard/Tim Horton's. Be sure to ask the manager first if you're going to bring in Pizza since they do their own pizza). I don't think he'll truly mind due to his friendliness but I'd consider it proper conduct. Saturday evenings can get a little full so be careful about your timing. Otherwise it's pretty nice and calm.

The staff is super pleasant and unless the kitchen is super slammed, the food doesn't take long. You hear the *ding* from the kitchen bell every so often and the smells that come from it always make me want to eat something. I usually get a poutine because it's my favorite "cheat" meal but my fellow trivia team members always get an assortment of food and there is rarely ever a complaint. They host other themed nights and special events/contests/musical guests on their stage for holidays etc. Overall, we love coming here for a break from the weekly routine to have a night of (somewhat) educational fun.
