I had the Mac and cheese and baked beans, both fresh and added to the meal. Great choices. Service was excellent, food ready when I arrived at the appointed time.

Wow, what can I say.... don't get me started! I moved here in 2021, and go to this place for…read morebarbecue once or twice each year. The best thing you could do would be to memorize the menu online, so that when you walk in the door, just stare at the cash register and don't look around. I'm not kidding. Everything, virtually everything in this building is filthy dirty. To open the door to leave I always use a napkin to grab the door handle. I don't think the door has ever been washed, neither has the floor, the walls, the baseboards, any of the fixtures, the napkin holders. I think you get the idea. Apparently Warren City nor County employs any food inspectors and doesn't have any restaurant inspection system in place. So the question is, why do you go back? Two reasons, the pulled pork and the overpriced barbecue ribs. I do not believe that any of it is cooked on site. They have a grill that is for reheating. Everything appears to be cooked offsite and brought to the restaurant. I've never seen them make anything from scratch. I ordered the pulled pork tacos once and I watched them sit on the counter for about 35 minutes before they finished them. I can't imagine what happens when they turn off the lights at night. What starts moving around is something I try not to think about. I'd recommend going there a Saturday afternoon or early Sunday so you don't get the leftovers cause they're closed Monday and Tuesdays. And they're closed all winter so you want to check and see what their hours are if you could find a phone number for them. If you go there, I wish you good luck. I hope you get a great meal, oh by the way, definitely avoid the mac & cheese with pulled pork. The Mac & cheese is mush, way overcooked, you get about a pound and a half, and it is topped with a scoop of pulled pork. Not a lot of effort or imagination in the creation of this delicacy. 1 Star for Service, 1/2 Star for Ambience, I'll let you brave souls rate the food.

Just coming back to re-review. While everyone else seems to be scaling back quality, we think…read moreCampanos is picking it up. We've enjoyed the filet mignon since the opening of the restaurant but we recently had a steak there that was a step above. So we went back the next week and got the same perfect preparation and quality. We used our butter knives to cut the steak. We asked for rare plus and twice it was perfect. They've started using a new seasoning/crust and it is amazing. But I must also report on the staff--even better than the steak. Love the people here and their ability to make a big city experience in our sweet, small town.

I could tell that the ingredients were of fresh / good quality, but the flavors were just not quite there... both dishes were just bland. We didn't go back for a while -- at these prices, I want to be WOWED, and my food was just ok. We were there recently for a banquet, and I had the Osso Bucco. While the meat was very tender and the portion generous, there was a little TOO much salt this time, and the pasta and veggies underneath were just not cooked properly. The sauce was too thin to cling to anything (just a broth) and the peppers were undercooked. The addition of the shaved cheese just added to the saltiness of the dish. I really WANT this restaurant to be good. There is such potential -- they are using quality ingredients, have a nice menu & ambiance, service was good, and the owners really seem to care. But the food is always a little disappointing.
