Three Go Sushi has become one of our favorite spots in Escondido. It's one of those little hole in the wall places that doesn't look like much from the outside, but somehow always ends up being exactly what you're craving. The service is consistently great. They always make us feel welcome and this time they took care of us even though we came in right before closing. We ordered three sushi rolls, but honestly they never stood a chance. We ate them so fast I completely forgot to take pictures. If you're a sushi fan, get the Dragon Crunch Roll. It disappeared from our table in record time. We also ordered the house special fried rice, chicken teriyaki ramen, beef and chicken yakisoba, and the Korean popcorn chicken. The fried rice was packed with flavor and had a little bit of everything. The yakisoba was delicious, the ramen was comforting, and the Korean popcorn chicken was perfectly crispy with a nice little kick. It also came with miso soup, salad, and rice, which was more than enough food. Nothing here is overcomplicated. It's just good food, good portions, and genuinely great service every time. When we're trying to decide where to eat, Three Go Sushi is usually the answer. We'll definitely be back. Hopefully next time I'll remember to take pictures of the sushi before it's gone. read more

The food is average at best and doesn't compare to many other AYCE sushi restaurants in San Diego County. As an Escondido resident, I visited once with my son simply because it was convenient and we wanted to give it a try. The food was decent, but certainly nothing worth going out of your way for, especially considering the price. My older son is a true sushi aficionado, so he decided to go back the very next day on his own to give the restaurant another chance. Instead of simply enjoying his meal, he was approached by the manager, who questioned him about the tip and implied that he had eaten "too much." I've never experienced or even heard of an AYCE restaurant confronting a customer for eating what they're paying for. I initially gave the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. I assumed it was an isolated misunderstanding and encouraged my son to try again in the future, even suggesting he leave a better tip. Unfortunately, when he returned on another occasion, he was outright refused service. The explanation? According to the restaurant, he "eats too much." That is astonishing for a business built around the concept of all you can eat. If serving customers with healthy appetites is a problem, then perhaps they shouldn't advertise themselves as an AYCE restaurant. Needless to say, my family will never return. The food is mediocre, the prices are no better than competing AYCE sushi restaurants, and the way customers are treated is unlike anything I've encountered elsewhere. There are far better options in San Diego County that offer higher-quality sushi and know how to treat paying customers with respect. As a final note, the restaurant itself did not leave a great impression. Our table was sticky, and the men's restroom was poorly maintained, with a toilet continuously running and a broken urinal. Combined with the mediocre food and the unbelievable customer service, this was an experience we won't be repeating. read more

I have been here several times, with the first bring on a day when it was a bit chilly and i was craving some ramen. There is not really a large selection in Escondido for ramen, and I'm always in the lookout fur a good one. This place is in a large plaza with ample parking, and it wasn't too busy during the weekday lunch hour. I ordered the black sesame garlic ramen with pork. It really it hit the spot, as it was a huge portion, and the broth was very flavorful and warm. The pork was tender, and there was a good amount of it. I ate half of the bowl and took the rest home to enjoy later. It was about $16 for that particular Ramen, and the have about 4 or 5 different options. I've also been back here for the sushi as well, and thought it tasted pretty good. If i go with someone I like to share a bowl of Ramen and 1 or 2 sushi rolls for variety. The have a lot of different options and they also do poke bowls which is on my list to try next. I think this place is worth a stop for sure. The parking lot is big and easy to navigate, so that's already a win. Walking in, the ambience is dark and cool, but still very casual and comfortable. I went on a Saturday and was pleasantly surprised that they still honored their lunch special prices. Love when a place doesn't skimp just because it's the weekend. The lunch combos were reasonably priced and came out pretty fast. My favorite item was the lemon spicy tuna roll with salmon on top--it was fresh, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. That little burst of citrus really made it stand out. The menu has a great range, from traditional rolls to more creative options. I'd be curious to try some of the Korean option next time - the tofu soup with gyoza looked really good. The fish tasted fresh for the most part, and the miso soup hit the spot. However, I did find a hair in one of my rolls, which knocked down the experience a notch. I understand things happen in kitchens, but it's hard to overlook. Went with a few friends for AYCE and had such a great time! Dinner is $40.99 and includes sushi, rolls, and a bunch of kitchen dishes and everything is amazing. We tried almost every sushi & roll on the menu, and the quality was unreal!! every single one was delicious. The salmon, yellowtail, shrimp and unagi were our favorites. The ramen, bulgogi, and spicy edamame, dumplings, chicken teriyaki? Just as good, especially with a cold beer & Hot sake! Haha! All the staff are friendly, the music is fun, and you can even catch big sports games while you eat. Seriously, if you're doing AYCE, don't miss this spot! FYI, Lunch is a fantastic deal at $34.99, it doesn't include kitchen dishes, but it's still really good, To try everything, I'd recommend coming for dinner. I had ordered 2 rolls which were on the Lunch Special (pick 2 rolls from the set menu, miso soup & salad for $20) but the server changed me full price per roll. I was in a rush & did not check until I got home, which was my bad. But if you have a Lunch Special, I would hope the servers would clarify whether or not you want the regular priced rolls or the special, trying to help the customers get the best bang for their buck. We have been satisfied regulars here ordering to go. We got the Waraii boat to go tonight and it was horrible. This comes with multiple pieces of sushi and sashimi and 2 special rolls for around 75 bucks. We liked it in the past. Not sure what happened tonight but it was bad enough to not return if this is their new standard. The pieces of sashimi were like 1/3 of the size of a normal piece. Even the sushi over rice barely covered the rice. The only normal size pieces were the tuna and they were dried out and had an ammonia like smell that is typical of tuna when it isn't fresh. Walked in today at 9pm on a Friday (hours are posted they close at 9:45pm) just for a quick bite and was turned away because they were closed. Just a little confused if hours have changed or if the employees closed the restaurant early. We recently moved to Escondido and were searching for a good Japanese restaurant when we found this hidden gem! Came here on a Sunday afternoon with two friends and were happy there was no wait. We ordered the house special fried rice and tonkotsu ramen with spice level 2, both were amazing, and the ramen broth was so good we finished every last drop of the broth. We also got the Ichi Roll with shrimp on top and the Crunch Dragon Roll, which had a slightly sweet flavor. Both rolls were really tasty. The spicy garlic edamame was super good! She gave us a weird look as we sat down, and proceeded to not even look our direction after trying to get her attention for over 30 minutes. My favorite roll here is the Hola Roll. I love the house spicy sauce that comes on this roll. The tangled mango roll is good... really, all the rolls here are good. They have some options for Saki. Recently we've been on a nigiri (unfiltered) kick. They serve it here. The service here has always been good. The music playing in the background was modern country (which I am not mad at). I noticed everyone that was coming in was doing to-go orders, only two customers were dining in at this time. Maybe since it was a bit early. I would like to come and dine in for the full experience. Received my order only 10 minutes after I placed the order. Rating: Miso soup and salad: standard Lemon Bash: 10/10 SO GOOD! Honestly, I'm mad at myself for not coming sooner! I didn't even need any additional condiments. I think they have great food at reasonable prices and I really like their sushi. The reason why I rated them low is that they need to turn on the AC. I went there today and it was about 80° out and they only have fans blowing throughout the restaurant. It's certainly not fun to try to enjoy cold beer inside of a hot restaurant. I also will mention that the service was excellent. I appreciated the waitresses attentiveness. They need to upgrade the establishment to have proper ventilation and in addition even the restrooms were very substandard. I'm hoping that they can renovate the spot to make it more comfortable for customers. read more

I used to love this place. Service has gone down and today was not good. Ordered to go in person. Stepped out for a few minutes and came back sat down didn't see any orders on counter. Saw some orders placed on counter but no one announced asking if it was ours. So we waited 20 mins until getting up to ask. We had waited for no reason, ours was the first order put out on counter. How did the lady not remember that was our order blows my mind. I told another server that asked us if we had been helped and I said waiting on an order for Adriana. Didn't bother to check either. I went here with my mother and my kids and I have to say I am impressed! I have a very picky Japanese mother and she told me to come here and check it out. I am so glad I did because not only the food was good but the service was as well. Portions of food were good and plenty. I will most definitely come back again with others and of course my mama. While on the hunt for good sushi in Esco, I came upon 3 Go Sushi tucked away in the parking lot of the Regal Cinemas (do people still go to these giant theaters?). From the outside, 3 Go Sushi looks like just another strip mall storefront, but once inside it has more of a nightclub/bar look to it. The vibe tho is all about the staff and the sushi. The staff seems to be family and they all had a warm and welcoming energy to them. I was there on a Monday night, so it was slow and I got to talk to everyone who works there, including the chef who came out and explained many of the sushi combos, and there's a lot of them. The menu is like a picture book so it's easy to get an idea of what you're ordering. The sushi was delicious, very fresh and due to it being Monday night, served almost immediately. One way I judge a sushi spot is by their ginger, and 3 Go's ginger was superb. I was recommended "Lovely Gloria" roll by the chef and was not disappointed, all the sushi we ate was great and they also have all the good Japanese beers in the big bottles. With reasonable prices and quality sushi (don't forget that ginger), this is gonna be my go to sushi spot in Esco. 3 Go Sushi has been there for 15 years, how did it take so long for me to find it? read more

Sad, it was our anniversary, and we wasted our celebratory meal which cost a lot of money. No air conditioning. So it's stuffy and hot inside: poor ambiance. Tables were sticky and because I wore a skirt, the back of my legs stuck to the plastic booth seats. Food: This is the only place I know that puts cheese on a dynamite. My hubby ordered the volcano, which looked NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURE IN THE MENU. It Was LAYERED with shredded jalapeños, making it extremely difficult and uncomfortable for my hubby to eat. He had to pick thru his food to pull the numerous pieces of heartburn material aside, which he never picks at his food in the 22 Oh, it was our 22nd wedding anniversary, which we told our waitress. I don't think we even got a congratulatory remark from her. She took my sons order, leaving the other two of us waiting for her to return to take the rest of our orders, which I ordered the same as my son. Their timing on meals was poor. My hubby got his plate 15 minutes before my son and I got ours. It wasn't fun waiting for our food. Meanwhile, my hubby felt guilty for eating before we were all served. I actually walked to the 99 cent store and bought Stevia type sugar substitute and walked back to the restaurant while my hubby ate his meal and before my son and I received our meals. The condiments: stingy . They have saccharine (pink packets) or sugar, no Stevia, no Splenda, no raw sugar. Only soy sauce, no teriyaki sauce unless you can flag down a waitress. the service was poor. I had to ask for water several times and they gave my son the song drink. The cost: the value was not there. For$86 after a 9 dollar tip and tax, we should have walked out stuffed. Instead, we walked out still feeling hungry. I do not think we will ever go back. read more
