We ordered the queso dip to start which looked like it came out of a package and microwaved (not much flavor, just runny orange sauce). 3 Margaritas...I have driven by you plenty of times and your location leaves a bit to be desired. I have never been tempted to enter your doors but I finally did. My daughter and I went here since they were doing a fundraiser for Emerald elementary (Go Dragons!). Happy to order whatever since it meant money for the school. The interior looks nice. It feels like a family establishment and one that you can take any age of kid or go as a group of adults and feel chill. They for sure want you to feel comfortable there. We got chips and salsa super quick. It wasn't great salsa (almost completely watery) but I will never NOT eat chips and salsa. I ordered a beer (it was a canned Tecate. Didn't see mention of a can but whatever) and my daughter got a Shirley Temple, which she loved. Our waitress was very nice. Probably the nicest part of the experience truthfully. She was very attentive and after we ordered our food she apologized about the time it was taking to get to us. It didn't feel like we were waiting too long but it was nice that she kept checking in. She offered to get us more chips and salsa (which I declined) or anything else we needed. For people reading this that might not have picked up this lesson yet: BE NICE TO YOUR SERVER. She wasn't causing anything to run late and I am a human with working eyes and ears and can see that the place was busy. I kept our interaction nice and told her we were in no rush. Now to the order: I ordered the 3 item combo with the Chile relleno, enchilada, and shredded beef burrito. It came with rice and beans on the side. My daughter ordered the kids enchilada with chicken. I don't consider myself an expert in any cuisine but I like to think I have had a fair enough amount of Mexican food to know what I like. I know just basic flavors in fact. Go me! This has got have been one of the worst plates of Mexican food I have ever had. Now, I want to be clear when I say that it was one of the worst I have had. This doesn't mean it was inedible. This doesn't mean something was prepared wrong. It just didn't taste good. The sauce on the relleno and enchilada is a complete mystery, no flavor at all. The sauce on the burrito (the red sauce, confusing.) was sweet. Almost like a sweet cheap tomato sauce for pasta. Chicken was kind of slimy. Shredded beef was fine but nothing too special. The odd thing though, Chile relleno was pretty tasty. It was super crispy and filled to the brim with cheese. I think anything fried with cheese is good too. The refried beans were runny. Like super (souper) runny. I saw another reviewer say this as well so it must be how they do them here. We did get fried ice cream after dinner and the waitress wanted to comp it for the wait time on our food. I told her it was all good and she didn't need to because I wasn't upset but she did it anyway. Truly great service. I ended up tipping her the difference. I recommend this practice if you find yourself in a similar situation. The fried ice cream was really tasty. Listen, I would be willing to come back here and try it again. Maybe I ordered the wrong stuff for this location. I didn't get a margarita so that should also be tried at a place called 3 Margaritas. I just think the meal was overall not good. I would not recommend anyone to go here when there are other Mexican food places nearby and I just didn't like it. Maybe some people like this type of Mexican food, I am not one of them though. read more

So the food here is always excellent. I don't eat meat but I've always been able to find something good from here, as you can substitute meat with beans or cheese and it's all delicious *chefs kiss* But now I worry due to the events of today! So I go run an errand and head over to the restaurant. But oh no, traffic. I'm nearly 10 minutes late when I arrive at 5:53, but I'm okay with my food being a little cold. But I'm not okay with the fact that my food was sitting on a table next to the effing entrance, where the wind was literally blowing on it every time the door opened. On a pretty warm day. With the sun shining on it like the restaurant was trying to kill a vampire. Totally gross. There was two margaritas that were totally melted to the point where the lady behind me asked if I already drank half of them. But I'm strangely passive. "This is my fault, because I was 11 minutes late," I think to myself. I pay for my food. The waitress lady was rude to me. I tip $5 because we ordered a lot of food and someone should get tipped for that. I leave. I go home and drink my melty ass marg and instantly start lamenting to my husband about how much 3 Margaritas hurt my feelings. I love their margaritas but the trust is gone now. The more I reflect on what happened, the more I realize how freaking gross the situation actually was. margaritas shouldn't have been left in the sun. But more importantly, our food shouldn't have been left in the sun for 12 minutes - assuming it was actually put out on time and not some time before. My food and drinks shouldn't be placed by a main entrance, where foot traffic is the heaviest. Yes, I should have said something. But 3 Margaritas should keep their customers' food in a clean area with a stable and reasonable temperature. 3 Margaritas, you hurt my soul today. We're both wrong here - but you're more wrong because I paid a decent amount of money for potential food poisoning. Do better. read more

CAVEAT I'm a recent transplant from Southern California and my standards are unreasonably high for Mexican food. This place is worth visiting for the margaritas alone! Fantastic! The service is excellent - friendly, efficient, and they make the Covid-19 dine-in restrictions look effortless. The food is quite good, actually. The chips were a big hit, salsa is a very personal taste and reactions were mixed. Rice and beans are, unfortunately, eminently forgettable. I had the Enchiladas Divorciados, a fun sampling of various sauces and fillings. My teenage son ate a burrito and a half, which is quite a feat as they are large and stuffed. I'm not a guacamole person, but my wife is and her take was "it's easy to make bad guac and they didn't". YMMV based on taste but that's a pretty strong recommendation. This place is solid. If they could get more flavor into their sides, they'd cross the line to amazing. read more

3 Margaritas has some great mexican food. Everything I have tried there has been solid but my favorites are their chile rellenos and their menudo (tripe soup). You can get their chile rellenos in soft (baked) which I prefer or hard (fried). Both are pretty tasty but their soft rellenos are just amazing! Also since I grew up on mexican food we had menudo pretty often and I love it. Not many mexican restaurants serve menudo anymore which is simply a shame. Their menudo comes with a good amount of tripe and hominy with just the right amount of kick. The service is also worth mentioning as I have always had very attentive service. The glass is full without asking, the homemade chips are refilled without asking and the server is nice and considerate. A great place to eat quality mexican food. This has been my favorite restaurant since I was in 6th grade! I would come with my friends and get burritos! I am 22 now and still get the same burrito! I get a beef and bean burrito smothered in green chilli and cheese. BEST THING TO EVER LIVE! I have now moved to Florida but visit CO often and make sure I come here at least twice on my trip because I love it so much and there is nothing like it in Florida, especially since green chilli is a Colorado thing... Great service, great food, great ambiance. If you're looking for a family place in Broomfield, this is it. My brother ordered enchiladas and loved them -- they came with a side of rice and beans too which amplified the already ginormous portion size. My mom and I split the pollo asado burrito (also comically huge in portion size) and it was stuffed with beans, grilled veggies, and grilled chicken, plus topped with a delicious sauce. Our waiter was very kind and accommodating. He brought us a tasty spicy sauce when we mentioned wanting to increase the heat levels and was just all around a great guy. I get maybe 5 things some more frequent than the others, but regardless of which 3 Margaritas I am at they are all good and exactly what I expect. This particular location was the first one I went to and for a time was the most frequented but do to changes in job location I don't go to this one as often as before. The service is always quick and without issues. My biggest issue is the bar area is dark and there really isn't much room to wait at the bar or just sit at the bar. I've been to 3 Margs about 5 times over the course of a few months. I typically have been in for lunch and receive good service. The restaurant parking lot can be a little tricky to get into as you need to turn in from Main Street. The inside of the bar isn't anything special but the tables and chairs have always been clean. This restaurant is pretty big though I've never seen a big crowd during lunch. The servers have always been very prompt with bringing chips and water to the table. The chips and salads are decent but nothing out of this world. The lunch specials have great prices and you can get a big meal for under 10 bucks. I typically order the taco enchilada combo. It is very consistent. Ground beef hard taco and shredded beef enchilada then you get a nice big side of rice and beans. It's a lot of food! The food always comes out tasting the same and is delicious. As for the margs they are good but not superb. They do a bunch of happy hours and discount the prices during the day or in the later evening. This is a go To spot for me to get some reasonably price Mexican food. read more

Wow. That was probably the worst service I've ever received in Broomfield. We asked for cheese dip with jalapeños for our chips, and they brought out some cheese dip with sliced jalapeños on the side. So we nicely asked if they could actually cut up the jalapeños and put them in the cheese dip, and the server at looked at us like we were crazy or something. Then of course the whole time from when we were seated until when we finally were able to leave, the server checked in on us maybe twice - one to take our order and once to bring our food. Luckily the person bussing tables came to actually pick up our check as we waited about 10 minutes for our server to pick it up, but no. Sad. If you want to go to three margaritas, skip this one. I finally went to Tres Margaritas after hearing about the restaurant from others for so long. I sat at the bar and met a young lady who happened to be the bartender by the name of Diana, she was not only friendly but made an excellent margarita. The food was served hot the drinks were cold and the chips and salsa were awesome. The ambiance at Tres Margaritas is excellent, the employees are friendly, the food is delicious and the drinks are incredibly authentic. The Morales family out of Seattle Washington has created a first class restaurant and bar. I will be back. read more

We were excited to try this place or any Mexican place since we moved here. We previously lived in Florida and couldn't find ground beef tacos anywhere. Very authentic down there, anyway the food was just ok. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. I wouldn't go back, so I only gave 3 stars. In my first review I stated that the tables and chairs were in bad need of repair, Im pleased to say that on this visit, it seems like that issue was taken care of. The meal I had at this visit was called the Mexican trio and it had flank steak, what appeared to be a butterflied chicken breast and bacon wrapped shrimp along with spanish rice and refried beans. It was very very large, so large in fact that I would estimate that at least three people could have shared it. Decor is pink adobo-style walls with big booths for small groups and long tables with brightly colored high back chairs for larger parties. I stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday around 12:30. The restaurant was lightly populated. Service was very fast. My beer came in a bottle with an icy cold frosted pint glass. Chips and salsa were quickly delivered. The chips were tasty, but the mild salsa was pretty bland. I ordered Arroyo Con Pollo from the lunch menu and was not disappointed. The chicken was moist and the mushroom slices were plump and juicy. The sauce was full of favor. 3 Margaritas seems like a good stop for a family meal or a large group. Our server was fast , friendly, and efficient! Amazing food and quick service! Pollo con crema is printed twice on the back of the menu for lunch special haha but that's not a big deal. Have you ever bought one of those taco kits from the grocery store? You know the ones with the shells and taco seasoning and you pick up ground beef, cheese, and other toppings to make tacos? I recommend you go to the grocery store and pick up one of those instead of eating here. It'll result in more authentic Mexican food than this place will ever serve. I was looking for the nearest Chipotle while I was at 3 Margaritas. As a warning sign of the food quality, the men's bathroom was abhorrent. I have been in cleaner small town truck stop bathrooms. While their happy hour beers are an affordable $3 each, the queso dip tasted like Velveeta with large pickled jalapeños mixed in (you know the ones in a jar). The tortilla used in my enchiladas had the texture of sandpaper and the beef had no flavor. Needless to say I will not return unless I want some cheap happy hour beers. read more
