Showed up for tubing - no reservation - they were out of tubes but bent over backwards to get us on the river. We ended up buying the last 2 tubes, got free rides, they found one more tube for my son. Took us to a nice spot and we floated for 2 hrs - small rapids- NO People! It was isolated quiet peaceful and pretty wonderful! Great to be away from the crowd! Yep the van was old, but it was part of the fun! Thx for the extra service!!! read more

Booked raft weeks ago and was told they had none left once we arrived. Booked in the #2 cabin. Room was absolutely filthy (see pictures). We had to leave due to the smell seeping through the room. Told desk clerk of our decision to leave and told her how disgusting our room was. She did nothing but take her room key back. We were offered nothing in exchange for a room we could not sleep in due to how unhygienic the room was. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. This company does not care about its customers. Company is only concerned with making a quick buck. Forgot to add that the room was $100. Remember that when looking at the pictures. read more

DO NOT GO HERE We went to this place 2 times now. Our first visit their very sketchy van broke down resulting in waiting 4 hours to get on the water. No apologies or even communication were given during this time. This year, we waited 3 hours past our appointment time to get taken to the water. We had to call over 20 times to contact these people when we flipped over and were injured. They were nearly impossible to talk to and offered little to no help, but demanded we stay with their equipment or we would be charged a hefty fee. After 5 hours of waiting on the side of the water, they finally came to pick us up and take us back to our car. read more

Awful. If you want the camping experience, as in sleeping in the heat and bugs in your bed, but you want to pay hotel rates for it, Then this would be the place for you. My group of 12 paid $1000 for a weekend here. Cabin smelled like stale piss. A/C barely blew out of one vent in one bedroom, none in the other. Barely blew out in the living room. Told the woman at the desk the next morning and she told me that's the best they could do and that with so many people in there it wouldn't cool.Not true. They did put a window unit in the living room for the 2nd night which helped a little. But all it did was cool it down enough to turn the central unit off and make the 1 bedroom that had a little a/c hot as well. We got two rafts. One deflated halfway through the day. Place is not worth the money. Definitely say no to the "log cabin" if for some reason you do decide to stay read more

I wish I could give zero stars. We normally do not have any issues coming to go raft but today has been the worst experience!! We got here around 10am, was told it would be about 30-45 minutes before we leave. We waited about an hour to leave and then we got to the river.( no big deal here, one driver, so I'm ok with that bc we could we on the river around 12:30). Well, we get to the river and both our rafts have holes in them. It is now past 2pm and we are still waiting to get on the river. The owners should get off their asses and help the staff on this day! We are beyond livid with today and the owners are to blame for this. I feel for the staff but this is total horse shit!!! read more

Was the second time we used them, last was a couple years ago we rented tubes, great then to. Yesterday 7/14/18 we used our kayaks, had them shuttle us,we got out where our personal was. they answered all our questions. lots of advice. we were there and on the river in under 45 min. we will use them anytime we go. Was by far the worst experience ever. I've had been twice now (one was at another resort) and the fact that we didn't get to experience dead mans curve with friends that have never been really sucked. Our air barely worked in the cabin and I could see daylight through the cracks in it. On top of it all we had one raft go flat before we even made it to the pick up spot! They have no cares for you or your friends or family they just want your money. Good luck to you who are willing to take this gamble. It sure didn't work for us. read more

This is the worst place to raft/canoe/ kayak. Never go here! We had a family reunion. And this company nearly ruined it. We scheduled this trip several months prior and all was confirmed. Upon arriving we had to wait in 100 degree weather for over an hour to be picked up... They did not provide enough seats and transportation, we were corralled into a van with no opening windows and no air conditioning And with children sitting in laps. It was very unsafe due to the extreme temperatures. They shorted us a raft, canoes, and the ones we did get were very broken down. Once the rafting trip was over they still were lacking enough transportation leaving us waiting for a very long time. We ended up asking some back at the hotel to pick us up. I was so excited to leave a review from my experience yesterday; I was sadden to see that someone recently had a bad experience with this company. I don't know a lot of technical stuff about kayaking, but I am going to give this place a 5 star review because I had a need, they filled it and did so with kindness and great accommodation!!! A little about my experience - I visited for the day and wanted to try getting on the river with my dog. I came in not really sure what they would have that would be best for the two of us and not even sure if they would be ok with animals on their equipment. When I came in there were two female staff and one male. They were so sweet and willing to accommodate me. They didn't make me feel like I was being difficult at all (which often happens when a place is not uber pet friendly). They brought out a couple of kayaks to see what would fit us best and listened to what type of experience I wanted. Based on this they were able to recommend a good spot for us to play in the water. They shared some info about the water in the area and answered kindly all my questions about snakes and water depth. They even shuttled the kayak to and from the boat landing. To top it off, one of the ladies (maybe the owner?) came and took a picture of me and my dog - which just made my day! Overall, my needs weren't high but they were unique. This place made me feel welcome and really made the day for me. Thanks - I will visit this place again for sure!! read more

Maybe if you want a canoe it might be different, but I reserved an open kayak. I got one, of course, except that it was a "kiddy kayak' rated for a 90 pound youngster. So, from the time I got into my kayak I was 'sunk.' These people have to be really stupid or careless, I don't know which, but there are lots of other outfitters in the area, and they can't all be this bad! read more

I've done a lot of rafting and canoe trips over the years, but have never seen an operation so mismanaged and unorganized. Despite reserving all of the canoes and rafts that we needed weeks in advance they shorted us a raft. Several of the rafts they gave us were of poor quality that would only hold 4 people instead of 6 people that we needed (again because they shorted us). As a result, we were short of space and had to wait while they bought some additional canoes. This was their fault but they still charged my credit card for these canoes without my authorization. Even before that, we waited for about 1.5 hours after we were scheduled to and waited nearly an hour until we were picked up. Terrible equipment, no trash bags, no safety instructions, nothing. A complete amateur operation. Please do your rafting and canoeing business elsewhere. read more

We arrived at 9:30 am expecting to leave for our canoe trip at 10 am or shortly after. We did not reach the entry point on the river until 11 am. The vans used to transport us to the river were old and dirty. I did not think one of them was mechanically sound. Our van had to be stopped three (3) times during the trip to the river in order to secure the canoes to the trailer. The staff at Three Rivers did not seem to understand the concept of customer service or the value of their customers time. We stayed in one of the Three Rivers cabins during the weekend. The furnishings were less than adequte and the cabin itself was minimumly clean. The coffee maker did not work and the recliner was broken. We did not feel like the cabin was worth the money charged. We will not be using Three Rivers for lodging and/or kayaking trips when we visit Hardy. read more

WORST LODGING EXPERIENCE EVER! My husband and I have traveled extensively and this was BY FAR the worst travel experience we have encountered. We visited June 24-28, 2019. The Log Cabin in Hardy, Arkansas, rented from 3 Rivers Outfitters was filthy. We were in town for a family reunion with several of the cabins rented by other family members. After arriving late and picking up preordered groceries for our entire family, we attempted to make the best of it. However, the nightmare began. There are rodent and/or bat feces throughout the cabin... the owner claims it's a bat problem (yes, she knows and still rents this cabin!!!). My son-in-law and I swept up a large dustpan full of feces in the upstairs bedroom. The roof leaks; however, the owner claims it doesn't b/c it is a metal roof and was due to "unusually heavy rain." WHAT? While my husband was napping - his CPAP and phone became wet on the nightstand; clothing in another bedroom was soaked, as well as wet items (on a top shelf) in the downstairs bathroom. Leaks everywhere! The "provided linens" are not fit to be rags used to wash cars. And when the air conditioning comes on, the smell of rodent urine from the vents is nauseating (one can only imagine when the heat is on?!?!?!?) The smell of urine also permeates from the wood logs - upstairs is particularly bad. The cleaning staff attempts to cover this with putrid deodorizers, so that unsuspecting visitors don't notice the urine smell immediately. DO NOT RENT FROM 3 RIVERS OUTFITTERS IN HARDY, ARKANSAS, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. read more

We rented six rafts and five canoes and we only got five canoes and five rafts. One of the rafts had five people and we were going over a rapid and we got stuck. So my grandpa went and tried to pull us to get us unstuck. The rings he was pulling broke and he fell. Scraped up his right side and broke his rib. So if I were you don't go here they are horrible and have horrible customer service. read more

I do not recommend this place! We booked a reservation months ago and pre paid a deposit for over 30 people to float for a family reunion and celebration of life for a family member. First we were supposed to be leaving for the trip at 1130. We didn't leave until 1245 and the company had the family wait in hot vehicles with small children in over 100 degree weather. They did not have enough transportation to take our party to the river. Once arriving at the river they did not provide enough rafts or canoes for our party. Part of the family had to wait over an hour for them to bring the additional rafts and canoes. They did not give a safety briefing nor did they provide trash bags for the trip. The rafts provided were under inflated and several had holes in them and were taking on water the majority of the time. This family has taken float trips on this river with other companies for over 10 years now and we were assured that this trip was very mild since we were taking little ones. This was a lie! There were several falls. One was larger than 4 foot. One raft was caught at the top of a fall with two children under 5, one adult and two senior citizens. My father grabbed one of the safety rings and i took the other. The under inflated raft would not move. We tugged more and the safety ring failed ripped off of the raft and caused my dad to tumble down the fall landing on his ribs and nearly drowning. The raft dislodged and the family went down the fall with the little ones but still taking on water and losing air. After making it to a place where we could get him safety to shore and call for a ride for him we finished the trip. The family waited over an hour for the company to pick us up. We called the company many times as did my dad to tell them that we were at the beach and needed to get someone there asap because all our vehicles were in the company parking lot and one of them needed to take him to the hospital. They did not show up and when they did they did not have enough transportation to get the party back to the office. We had to call other family members to come pick us up. While waiting the employees were rude to the family and at one point screamed and yelled at family members. The customer service at this place is beyond horrible. I hope if all that experienced this( there were two other large float groups that followed in behind us that had bad experiences) give honest reviews no other family with have to endure this experience. If you are taking children on a vacation float this is not the place to use as one employee said he didn't give a sh$@ that little ones were waiting in the hot sun while they loaded equipment. Everything was messed up from the beginning. Our float that we had reserved for two weeks prior wasn't ready. They sent us with two smaller floats. When we got to the drop off site, one of the two smaller floats had deflated. After 2 hours of waiting and a 30 minute drive in a gross non-ventilated van we didn't want to go back and wait more and miss our day on the river. We took the one inflaited boat and a canoe. We had trouble from there on. The raft took on water and was missing one of its middle inflation pieces completely causing us to drag the bottom. We started to loose air and got stuck on a tree at the mini islands area. 4 of us almost drowned and we lost all our stuff. When the people on the canoe tried to help the ones on the raft, the canoe flipped and we all had be to be rescued by three teenagers, who almost went under trying to help us save the float and ourselves. We hiked back with the canoe with everyone banged up and hurt. We called Three Rivers who wouldn't answer the phone. After waiting 2 hours we decided to call the police to see if they could get in touch with the business and let them know we had major issues and needed to be picked up. The cops got ahold of Three Rivers and called us back. They said it shouldn't be more than 20 minutes and the company would come get us. 2 hours go by while sitting with no water and no transportation. We called over and over and over to no avail. Finally we paid someone headed into town 40 bucks to take two of our group back to Three Rivers to get our car so we could all get back and tell Three Rivers what happened and ask for a serious discount for faulty equipment. When they arrived no one was at the counter so the two from our group grabbed the keys to come get the other 4 of us. One of the group stayed trying to tell the business what happened because we wanted them to know how bad it all was. By this time Three Rivers called the cops and said we were irrational, rude and went behind their counter. (which we had no other option due to Noone being at the counter ) They accused us of being drunk which we weren't. The two who had left to get our vehicle were forced to blow a breathalizer and both blew clear. The cops agreed with us, but ultimately the owner had the decision to press charges for "disorderly conduct" because we had "words" and had to go behind the counter to retrieve our own keys (which we voluntarily left so we couldn't loose them in the river). They wanted to charge us 500 dollars for the busted raft, plus the full price of the trip. The cops said pay or go to jail so we said we would pay and take it up in civil court, but power was out and they couldn't run our cards. They insisted we take turns going to the ATM to get cash to pay immediately. We would not do that. The cops took two from our group to jail. We had to bail them out for 345 each. Neither had ever been arrested and were very scared and upset. The next morning our card was charged for 808 dollars without our signature or consent. Three Rivers yelled at us and lied to the cops about us. They have ruined my decades of wonderful experiences coming to Hardy Arkansas and going down the spring river with joy. Due to bad equipment we almost died. Everyone was very shaken up and traumatized. We waited hours with no assistance and didn't even get to finish 2/3rds of our trip. In conclusion, Three Rivers lied, falsely accused, and then overcharged us by a significant amount without a signature on our credit card. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company, for anything!!!!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! We usually float with friends that own a rafting business, however, this time we didn't float with them (our mistake) and my husband and I decided to take our two sons (ages 12 & 15) floating. We arrived at 3RO at the designated time and went in to check in and pay. So far so good.....after paying, the lady behind the counter very hastily "explained" to us the route we would be taking on the river. We had told her this was our first time to float this particular route; you'll think she'd take a little extra time and effort, but no. So we go outside and are told to pick out our life jackets from a pile of ANCIENT life jackets. They are so old, weathered and ragged. After that, we watch two workers load up a blue raft on the trailer behind the most rickety, rusted out, dented up white van I've ever seen. We get on the van and its filthy and stinky. Yeah I get it, it's the river and it gets wet from passengers. But it was dirty, dilapidated, and it hadn't had any TLC or maintenance in years. Once the driver gets in & turns the key, silence. Nothing. The motor doesn't turn over. The driver then yells out the window to the other workers, "hey, y'all got any jumper cables?" No one does, and after fiddling with who-knows-what, it eventually starts. Then we embark on the roughest, most hazardous and bone-rattling 3 mile journey to low water bridge. We weren't familiar with this location but let me tell you, it is NOT an appropriate start point for a raft trip. Once parked, we get out, worker takes the raft off the trailer and I ask "is this really where we get in at?" He says "yeah". That's it, nothing else. No instruction, no concern, nothing. He gets in the van and drives off. We place the raft in the water (all 3-4 inches of it because this area is nothing but rocks by the bank) and try to push it past the rocks. Eventually we do and we begin floating. About ten min later, we notice the raft seems to have filled up with more water Han is typically normal. After some more thorough looking, there's a small hole in the raft. So, we spend the trip with water over our ankles and have to stop twice to dump it out. The raft had no seats, it was very old and it had been patched multiple times on the bottom. Once returning to the office, my husband and I both expressed our frustration and disappointment with the experience and never even got an apology. It was almost as if they didn't believe us. They could have easily gone out right then and inspected the raft but they showed no concern. They never said "I'm sorry" or offered to compensate us in any way for the terrible experience. Their lack of empathy, professionalism and decent equipment leave me wondering how on earth they're still in business. If we had been a group of inexperienced teenagers or young adults, the raft could have easily turned into a tragic situation. I will never use them again, obviously, and I will also discourage any one else from using them. There are many other SAFER options. read more

Worst experience ever. BBB has been contacted. Do not risk your life by going to this god awful place. Rafts are strewn about the yard and in very rough shape - many were not holding air and had very poor patch jobs. Canoes and kayaks were thrown about the yard as well - complete disarray. We arrived at 8:00am as instructed and waited until someone finally arrived at 9:05am. When I told her I wanted to cancel my trip she reluctantly put her cigarette down and walked into the "office" to cancel the trip. My full name and credit card information was sitting on the counter, handwritten on a sheet of paper. I snatched the paper from her and was sure to bring it home with me. She decided to have words with me and the male that showed up called me a b*tch. Don't risk your safety and credit card information. Go somewhere else. read more
