This gym is a great place to workout and is steps above the competition…read more When I vacation to Ocean City and Bethany I would always travel down to the gym at Gold Coast Mall or visit OC Crossfit, but not since I tried out this World Gym. It is small, but it has everything you need. There is only one squat rack, a couple of flat benches, an incline, and then four or five dumbbell benches. When I have been there, the crowd is small enough that any waits for equipment are very short-lived. There was enough room for deadlifts and olympic lifts. The staff and other members didn't seem to mind me making myself at home. There is plenty of cable equipment too. All of the equipment is new, clean, and in excellent working order. Their free weights go up to 150. My favorite part is the customer service. I left a pair of knee wraps there, and called a week later to see if they were still there. The nice young lady at the front desk found them for me, but told me the manager wasn't there at the moment and took down my information. A week later, they were on my doorstep in California. I really don't think any other gym would go that far to take care of an irregular customer. The price is very affordable ($10 a day), so there really isn't a reason not to come here. It's worth the drive up from Ocean City.

At which time I decided to move and leave the area. I moved a half hour away. Only to find out months later I am being pursued by this group that I owe my membership fees - $280...Even though I explained numerous times that I moved out of the area and that the equipment was faulty and I was not interested in continuing my membership. Recently, I was visited by a Justice of the Peace Court from Delaware, for a judgement for $300 to be paid or they will take a TV from my house of the same value. You have to be kidding me. Good spot for just working out…read more.. Found this gym via YELP and it's pretty good. I got a week long pass for $25. It looks to be a converted store and it has a huge expanse. There's plenty of machines and you can do just about anything there. There's also cleaning supplies that you can take with you throughout the gym. The ONLY thing I'd suggest they get is the filtered water fountain where you can fill your water bottle up. Other than that it's a good spot to get one in.

If you are a member - you get 24x7 access with a key code. When you get in there - you get access to all the old school, tried and true tools to get in shape. You have our kettlebells, squat racks, rowers, ski-ergs, airdyne machines of death, benches, etc. Also - since the gym is private it is never busy - usually its just you and yourself. Sometimes Paul will be there with another client. The owner / head trainer is Paul - he is awesome. Reach out to him and schedule a 1 on 1 with him. He is worth it.

The gym is absolutely packed until like 10:30pm and even past that it's pretty busy until like around midnight. So if you're a person who wants a more empty experience start looking elsewhere. Tho the biggest issue is below. Good luck not having to park at Walmart until at-least dinner time. The people who go at night used to be made up of focused and responsible/respectful people who kept to themselves and treated the gym as a public space, not causing or starting problems. However that's changed, now the gym at night is literally jam packed with hyper highschool kids who screw around as if no one else was there. The night I chose to never come back I was working on a chest press machine and I saw a group of them running around the gym chasing eachother and screaming, before tackling and wrestling eachother shouting in the middle of the gym while everyone else was trying to focus on themselves and were obviously distracted and uncomfortable. I'm all for screwing around with buddies but in a very claustrophobic gym (that's another issue) is not the place. The staff couldn't have cared less and didn't even check to see if there was an actual problem or not. I left after that and I don't plan on ever coming back.

Cops show up around 5:30 am every morning because an employee doesn't know how to turn off an alarm…read moreso they let it go off for 15 mins until the cops come. This happens everyday and we all have to workout with an alarm going off and act like nothings happening everyday morning and then the cops come and we have to let them in because the doors are locked because the employee doesn't know how to unlock the door.
