I lived here for almost two years. Some of the staff are great; Shaina, Cheenou, and a couple others. The night staff have a high turnover rate, which is not surprising. I mean, I had multiple noise complaints to the point of being sent an eviction notice because of the complaints, until the overnight concierge actually came upstairs to verify and learned that it was actually my neighbor having extremely loud karaoke parties until 6am. Other than that, Shaina is great. This place will try to pinch every dollar out of you. $150/month to park my car in the garage of the building I live is one thing, then charging me $100 for the little garage door opening sticker for my car is another. Need anything fixed in your unit? Expect to be charged for it. New water filter for your fridge? Charged. New air filter for AC? Charge. They'll charge you for inconveniencing them. But Shaina, the concierge is amazing. All of the amenities are super dope, but there's always something wrong. The last three months I lived here, the pool was under a one month construction that just kept extending... the day after I moved in, there was a massive flood that took over the entire first floor of the building, which put the golf simulator out of commission for well over a year. The TVs on the roof and in the gym work but you can't change the channels or the volume because they claim they can't fix the computer it's all attached to. Speaking of the gym... every single day people refuse to re-rack their weights, which leads you to making your entire workout a set of cleaning up after others, and the building refuse to do or say anything about it... I'd also point out that the cameras happen to always be down. My car was broke into twice within the same week and there was nothing they could do about it because the cameras were down. It's always something with this place... Also, don't move in here thinking you have some great view of DTLA like they show in the pictures. You don't. There's an entire building next door that covers the whole view. Also, people have sex in the hot tub all the time, making it disgusting and it's rarely cleaned. Anyways... the staff is dope. Current Resident here. UDR is the worst residential management company I had ever dealt with. Communication is terrible and almost non-existent. I have lived in many different so called "luxury apartment" in Koreatown, this management company is the WORST. Upon moving in, the receptionist didn't knew I was moving in (They were nice and friendly about it) and I had to almost bug the receptionists to inquire about EVERYTHING (They were accommodating and very helpful). The director (or not sure of the position) is almost never there, since he is managing two properties, and it seems like I have to figure everything out by myself by bugging the receptionists (Big thank you). I had to reach out to get my mail key, where to get my mail packages, how to fix my dryer (it was broken upon moving in, and had to wait 2 weeks to get this thing fixed), and the billing situation (I had to figure out when the rent due date is! Also, DO NOT GET THEIR BI-WEEKLY RENT SERVICES). I do not leave negative reviews on any establishments, but this one deserves it. The receptionists are very cheerful and accommodating, but they can't help you with your problems. They are doing their best but the UDR company doesn't communicate with them as well. All the receptionists can do is to communicate your message on your behalf. If you are still considering this place, be prepare to constantly remind them about your issue. My place smelled of wet laundry for TWO WEEKS, because they didn't send a person to fix my dryer (had to inquire 3~4 times to finally have the receptionist to call them directly). Forget inquiring anything via UDR app, just had to bug the receptionists constantly (I do feel bad about this, but this type of frustration builds up). I am just waiting for my lease to be done, I have NEVER dealt with this type of delayed and non-existent residential management company in my life. Save yourself the trouble, and DO NOT move in here. read more

This is an updated review for 3033 Wilshire, now that we have lived here for 4 months. MOVING TO LOS ANGELES CAN BE OVERWHELMING..... We spent COUNTLESS HOURS RESEARCHING. We then went on at least 10 tours to surrounding Apartment Complexes. Trust me, we looked at everything affordable ( our top budget was 3k a month). Every place we looked at had a major issue of some type ( ex: homeless people camping adjacent to the complex, unfriendly staff, balconies full of junk, old tired facilities. One place had a dog run that REEKED of urine)- I could go on! Our problems just magically vanished once we found Wilshire 3033 ( I am serious). The complex is modern, beautiful, clean and QUIET. We have lived here for 4 months and I have YET to here anyone walking above me ( happened all the time where we used to live). Sometimes we can't believe how peaceful it is! The roof top is a complete 'Fun Zone' with beautiful pool/spa and barbeque areas with BREATHTAKING views of Los Angeles. Everything is kept immaculately clean. I have not seen a SINGLE cigarette butt anywhere in 4 months. This apartment complex is EXPERTLY managed by Olga Kononova and Michael Zubia. They don't tolerate any parties, people parking where they shouldn't or any breaking of the rules. Most importantly, they are approachable and help out residents in any way they can. Five stars for the building amenities, including a saltwater pool! But mostly the 5 stars are for Michelle, the person I can count on for anything from something as mundane as food recommendations to anything serious like leasing questions. Every interaction I've had with her has been so pleasant - I've also seen her interaction with vendors and residents and can tell how professional she is. DONT MOVE HERE! Murders, assaults and strong armed robberies! I am living in an increasingly more dangerous building. The management spends all of their budget on the facade of 3033, hiding the lies that they tell the residents, and coming up with zero solutions to reoccurring issues. The gate for the parking lot breaks constantly, as do the security cameras. Packages from the mail room and lockers regularly get stolen. All of these things take an absurd amount of time to repair. The only good thing I can say is that the concierge do the best they can do with respect and a smile. Also, Karina, Florentine, Kelvin and the rest of the maintenance and cleaning crew, always have a kind and happy demeanor. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the top leasing agent. She is the liaison between the residents and building management. She is anything but. She makes excuses for her lack of action regarding serious building issues. She whines, is irresponsible, and doesn't adhere to her boss's demands. She is lazy, and passes all of her work off to her assistant, Michelle, and concierge. Michelle, who sits at the front desk in the lobby, on the other hand, is very responsible and reasonable. She does her work, and the work of the top leasing agent that is handed down to her for unbeknown reasons. She even helps with concierge duties, and greet you with a smile. She, along with former concierge Axel, and the current concierge Robert, are the people manning the lobby that I can trust to be on top of their game. just came here 3033 wilshire to visit my friend, the guest parking fee is even more than street parking in New York. Crazy! other apartments in LA always have many guest parking spaces for visitor, i don't understand why this apartment charge $2 a hour for guest parking ,so lame! I remember last year I came here everything was good, but now it is horrible. my friend who lives here told me she doesn't like this guest parking policy, totally crazy and so mean. Been living at 3033 Wilshire for over two and half years. Transferred from a 1B1B to 2B2B. Nothing much to complain about the building and the amenities. Maintenance Team is great , they are doing their job to keep the building clean and make our life easier. 2 issues concerned me a lot at move out that make me would not recommend 3033 Wilshire. 1) Referral Fee: I referred my friend and he moved in a year and half ago. I know for some properties, you have to mention who referred you on your first tour, so I made sure I was there when my friend toured the property and both of us let the Deputy property manager(who already left UDR now) know I referred my friend. And as of 7/14/21, both my friend and I moved out, I haven't received the referral fee yet. 2) Move Out Bill: I got an email from 3033 a month from our move out date regarding the mandatory move out inspection. Don't believe in what the service team tell you, cuz the UDR corporate reserved the right for final explanation because UDR don't believe their employees who was actually on site and saw the condition of the room. As I mentioned, I transferred to a 2B2B, I used one bedroom as my storage and nobody ever lived in that room during my lease term, no stains, no unremovable marks. Service team, on the day of inspection, was even surprised about the good condition of the carpet in that room. AND, they have the entire carpet replaced in that room! Not even deep cleaning, REPLACED?! Anyway, I moved out and made the payment for the unnecessary replacement of the carpet cuz I don't want it to mess up my credit. read more

I moved out a month ago. Olga deducted a lot of my security deposit for no reason. Carpet and paint I understand, but cleaning? No. I hired a professional cleaning service before I left. Also, this apartment had murder, shooting, robbery. Also, a month before my lease ended, Olga DEACTIVATED my key fobs for no reason. Idk if it is out of spite? or because she knew we moved out before then? But a lot of my belongings are still there and I am still the official tenant. SO suspicious @Jen K, ARE YOU SURE YOU'RE NOT BEING BRIBED BY MANAGEMENT TO WRITE A POSITIVE REVIEW? MICHAEL ZUBIA, HYPOCRITE. It's been a little over 4 months since I moved in, and the apartment is so well maintained that it's always clean. There is plenty of guest parking and the prices are reasonable, so you don't have to worry if your friends come to visit. I'm a new resident, so this review isn't from someone who's had the luxury of experiencing the apartments for awhile. I'll come back and update after a few more months. Pros: -Apartments are pretty spacious/great views. -Skydeck/amenities are well maintained and the honestly better part of the luxury apartment experience. -Parcel pending (your packages go into a locked locker. You do have to pay for this service) -24 hour concierge -Pretty quiet building so far Mainly the point of the 3 stars was the move-in/application experience. -When I came in to tour, the apartment that was listed as available online wasn't ready to view, so I was shown a sample unit (same size/layout). I wasn't too thrilled about the fact that I couldn't see the actual unit, but my move in date was 7 days after the "ready to move in" date on the website. I did end up coming to get the keys a few days earlier and my rep mentioned that the only thing that wasn't ready were my countertops which all needed to be replaced. She had already set a date the following week for the contractors to come in. Not ideal, but it was okay. However, upon doing the walkthrough, it was very clear that the unit was not ready for move-in. The kitchen cabinets were damaged from the previous tenant. It hadn't been cleaned very well, and the bathroom cabinets looked as if the previous tenant's dog had been chewing it. Additionally, pegs were missing in the kitchen cabinets and the shelves weren't properly installed. The bathtub also looked like they had simply scrubbed away damaged and not resealed it. Although this was all of this was reported on my move-in documents, the only items that were addressed were the countertops. After making sure both the kitchen and bathroom areas were clear for the contractors, I got a text later that day that the contractors had only completed the job in the bathroom and not the kitchen. Upon inspection after work, it was clear that the contractors had only scrubbed away damage. They still were not in "move-in ready" standing. I addressed it with my leasing agent, but she never got a time or date that they'd come in to replace the kitchen countertops or "polish" the bathroom ones. All of this on top of the fact that none of the aforementioned issues had been fixed yet. The price of these units are pretty steep, and they advertise as luxury apartments. I'd just do a thorough inspection of your unit beforehand if deciding to move forward. Issues are addressed lackadaisically and after you move-in, there's no real regard for the upholding of the unit's quality. read more

The whole text is written in Korean; however, the victim's main point is that neither the manager nor the company have taken any action. They have failed to assist the victim following the robbery, and furthermore, they have neglected to repair the damaged door. The victim also mentioned that the surveillance camera footage clearly indicates some tenants who appeared to be involved in the robbery, but the management neither shared this information nor showed any signs of offering assistance. Pick anywhere else! Residents at 3033 are forced to suffer through an unimaginable living situation and an unsafe environment. While UDR provides no remedy or outlet and utilizes intimidation, leverage, and deceptive tactics to retain residents. UDR has made no reasonable effort to ensure residents feel safe after horrific incidents. In 8 months, there have been two shootings in the building, excessive amounts of narcotics left in common areas, theft/robbery from residents and within their units including Rolex watches, designer clothes, & other high-value items... Worst of all, even a murder. (mynewsla.com to read about the July murder) Management does absolutely nothing to increase safety. It took a 2nd shooting INSIDE the apartment building for management to send an email saying they are interviewing for a security guard. Finally, a security guard came for a few nights. and predictably NO security has come since nor are they in the process of finding a security guard last I asked. even tho cars get repeatedly been broken into the same as the "secure storage units" and absolutely NO consistent changes were made following a shooting, robbery, and murder. Further, it seems like management's negligence compromises residents' safety rather than ensuring it.  First, management continuously sends random people to residents' doors. From the day I moved in, I have had to repeatedly remind the concierge to respect the rule and it causes me tremendous anxiety considering an armed robber gained access to the penthouse floor (A floor ONLY the penthouse & concierge have access to. In fact, this building is so careless that recently a concierge was fired after a resident's safety was jeopardized when the concierge on duty escorted an unknown NON-RESIDENT, UP to a resident's personal door in the early morning around 1 AM -2 AM, posing an extreme threat to resident's safety and compromising the security of their unit and privacy. Second, management's negligence compromises residents' safety by how they handle neighbor 2 neighbor complaints. Management actually manifests hostility between residents by their inaction. For example, my car was vandalized on Saturday night by my neighbor due to management's negligence in not telling me a resident has been complaining to management that I am parking in his spot and telling the concierge it was an "ongoing issue." I was never once informed by management or made aware of any issue with my parking. Thus, I was in shock and apologetic. UDR is constantly at fault here because when I first moved in they had me assigned to park in another resident's spot consequently almost having my car towed and causing problems with fellow neighbors. Following the concierge's notification that a resident requested my car be towed, I came down to my car vandalized with marks on the side, lit cigarettes around my car, and most concerning spit/saliva all over my driver side window. Interestingly, over the last few months, there has been an ongoing issue with a resident spitting and throwing the same brand of cigarettes at me in the exact same unique "on fire" manner when I'm at the dog park. I complained multiple times to management about the risk of a burning cigarette being thrown at me & my puppy causing risk of burn or severe injury but the problem still persists. The dryer should be a huge red flag for all future residents if you do any laundry. Management admitted they use the more affordable electricity instead of gas to power the dryer (or vice versa) so it makes drying a SMALL load takes a full 2:45 cycles, on the bulky setting, at least 2 times. The dryer is so powerless that this exact sequence functions like the "delicate cycle." inevitably making your electricity bill extremely expensive. (which it already is because they overprice utilities) My bill is never less than about $240 (but leasing swore it will be around $100 and closer to $200 if you are "really not careful" which I am always extra careful but I'm slowly going to give up. The leasing team lied about everything (and same seems to be the case for many others I have asked) they used deceptive tactics & even admitted they used "mop and glo " as a temporary fix to show me nice floors before signing the lease. Also prior to signing, I made clear my biggest concern was the timeline of window cleaning where I was blatantly lied to repeatedly. It has been ALMOST A YEAR and my windows have YET TO BE  cleaned. The lack of respect for Tennant's hardship is shocking recently Olga said it would take a week 1/2 for an Email response to an emergency situation because she going on vacation for her b-day. May I suggest a better business practice? like CC'ing Caroline who is going to be on the property, working, & available to us while Olga is taking her personal days? last the common areas are frequently filled poop, pee, dirt, blood, broken glass, cigarettes, and other narcotics = extremely UNSAFE for pets and kids read more
