Best Thai food on 30A. The dishes are all flavorful, generous portions, and they are generous with the meat. No picture taken but I also live the golden crab wontons. Be prepared, its on the expensive side, even for 30A but portions are generous so two people can share plates. I would prefer a thicker peanut sauce for the satay, but thats a preference. 30A Thai is located in a high traffic super touristy area. 99% of the dining options in this area are awful, expensive and geared for tourists. 30a Thai fits this profile perfectly. The food has no flavor, ingredients are sub par and it's completely overpriced. The appetizer dumplings came out of a bag, the massaman curry was watery and gross and noodles were sickeningly greasy. I ordered pick up which according to website 18% of take out orders will be charged an 18% gratuity which sounds a little crazy considering only packing is to be done by the establishment unless the cooks are getting that tip which I highly doubt. Food is bland. Not actually tasty and pad Thai is definitely not traditional as it didn't come with scallions, lime, or peanuts instead it came with cold purple and white cabbage. Once picking up the person greeting us was not very kind and rude. No utensils or chopsticks given. The place had maybe 10 tables and on a Thursday night with lots of foot traffic and other places around this place had one table that was actually eating there. I guess I should have came into the place to order and I wouldn't have as it's not a great sign. Needless to say don't waste your money on overpriced food that has no flavor and is bland and Cold. read more

Went to Santa Rosa Beach, FL a few weeks ago and had a taste for some Thai cuisine. We lucked up on this nice quaint restaurant less than 10 minutes from our Beach house! The food was delicious, I ordered spicy crab rice and my Mom, Niece and Granddaughter ordered some tasty meals as well! The server was friendly and provided excellent service! The inside had beautiful decor, it was a Sunday evening so the place was not busy! We all enjoyed our food, it is located in a huge plaza with free parking and we all enjoyed our meals!! read more

We made a reservation over the phone but when we arrived they had no idea we were coming. They seated us, and as I perused the menu I had to kill two ants walking across my menu. We ordered appetizers and they took forever to get to the table. The peanut sauce for the Chicken Satay was so watery and tasteless it just ran right off my chicken. It looked like only 2 servers were waiting on the whole restaurant. We then ordered our entrees, which also took forever. We made our reservation for 5:30 because sunset happened at 7:30 and we had scheduled family pictures at a nearby beach, which were now out of the question. I ordered Pad Thai medium (2 stars) but it had absolutely no spice. I asked for crushed red pepper to spice up the Pad Thai but the server forgot to bring it to me. I had to get up from the table to ask him for it, but my food was cold by the time it arrived. When the separated bills came, they charged me for the wrong appetizer. Pretty much everything was awful. Unfortunately, there was a mandatory 20% gratuity on the bill for our size party. Being in the entertainment/service industry, my tips start at 20% for base level service but I was prepared to tip 10% had it not been included in the bill. read more

I wasn't expecting pineapple mixed in with the veggies(perfectly cooked!) and I wish I could've ordered more of just the pineapple. SO flavorful! So disappointed that they didn't have Thom Kahi soup as an appetizer- only as a $22 dinner !! I judge a Thai restaurant by the Thom Kahi. I ordered spring rolls for the table and Panang Curry spice level 3. The spring rolls were very good. My panang curry was just OK. I wish I could remember what others ordered. One ordered fried rice with chicken. There wasn't a lot of chicken in it but she said it was delicious and did take her leftovers. I doubt that I will return to this place because of the lack of a soup appetizer and there are other Thai restaurants on 98 that are more than 3 stars. read more

We tried this place for lunch on a weekend. We were seated right away and they weren't busy at all. There's ample seating inside. The place looks new and clean. We started with their cold sake, chicken satay appetizer and also ordered their panang curry, pad Thai with chicken and basil chicken. Everything arrived quickly and tasted really good. We asked for level 4 spicy, which is spicy and great. If you don't eat spicy then go with level 2 or 3 at most. But we enjoyed the food. My favorite was the panang curry. It was one of the best in terms of flavor. Basil chicken was also very delicious. See photos of the food below. We will be back at this place to try other things on the menu. Everything is fantastic - food, service, staff were all wonderful. We started with the spring rolls and dumplings. Both were excellent, but I give the edge to the spring rolls. My husband and I split the panang curry with shrimp and pad Thai with shrimp. They have 1-5 spice levels. We both enjoy spicy foods and went with a 2. A little hit and miss but overall pretty solid. Great ambiance and very clean. I was a little disappointed with my drunken noodles. They weren't bad I've just definitely had better. My son's pad Thai was also less sweet/sour than I'm used to. In both cases it felt like the umami was overpowering. Like too much soy sauce and fish sauce perhaps. My son's Panama curry however was fantastic and my wife's Tom Ka soup was delicious. So guess it just depends on what you order but overall we had a nice time read more

Outside looks fancy Inside was nice but just didn't fit the building and the exterior garden they made, Felt sparse. Anyhow about the food. Apps were good, satay peanut sauce could have been a little thicker but still good. Dumplings were tasty. Felt spring rolls could have been brighter. Regarding meal, the Pad Thai was good, the fried rice was good with healthy portion of meat, but it was heavy. The ramen with brisket (chef specialty I think) just lacked flavor I was hoping. The wife and I keep coming back to this place again and again. Their appetizers are wonderful... especially the dumplings. Last night I had the Chef's Special of pork belly and some type of sauce. Not sure what sauce it was (description is on the menu) and it was awesome. For the quality of food at these reasonable prices it should be packed. But we always can snag a reservation. Review edit.: We came back for our second time thinking we had found our new local Thai spot. The food was still good, but not as good as the first time. I'm not sure if it was a bad day or what as the egg in my phad Thai was very burnt. Our server was also extremely rude this time. Same server as last time. They close at 9 and we showed up at 730 to our hostess/server looked almost upset we were there. Odd as they were running 10% occupancy. The server almost made us feel bad for ordering a bottle of wine. "You sure you really want a bottle" ...yes I'm sure; your job is to provide hospitality, not question what I'm ordering. Then, we never got the check. I had my credit card out on the table as a subtle reminder, and she just came and took it from me. Mind you it was my wife and I and we reminded them we had been here before. The icing on the cake: when she then dropped off my processed check she said "gratuity is not included". I work in the industry. I know this. I tip 25% every time out of respect. I actually looked at her and said "What?" I was so taken back. As was my wife. Honestly the interaction with the server was so bad this time, I don't want to go back. I'll get it to go. Again the quality of food was good-but it was really brought down by the condescending attitude of the server, and reminding us to tip after taking my card from me and providing horrible service. We will not be back to dine in. We will get food to go as we are local but I'm not going back in until they get their service fixed. No one wants to be rushed. No one wants to be reminded to tip. We are well aware. You lost a potential regular and a local foodie who shares all his travels along 30a. I hate to do this, as the first time was a 4.5/5, but this time...2/5 with 2/3rds of the reasoning being the service. Treat your locals better. This place is amazing. We saw all the 5 stars and I would say it's well deserved. Clean and modern dining area. Easy walk if you're any where close to 30A. Great flavor and great food. My wife got the prad prik. I got the pad kee mao (seafood) and we shared the crying tiger. Cook on the crying tiger was perfect. We were very satisfied and have to say this place is a must try if you're in the area. Be careful, because the spice is on the spicier side. Would return! read more

We were so excited to try this place. We come here often and were looking forward to good Thai. I was a little leary when it took while to seat us for our reservation even though the restaurant was nearly empty. Quickly we realized that they had one server that night and were understaffed. Having worked in food before I am extremely aware of things like that and always have extra patience in that type of situation. However, with not a ton of actual tables in the restaurant surely it should be okay. We ordered and array of items in the menu. Apps came out quickly and the dumplings were delicious. The Tiger cry was tough and overcooked. We were not given any options on how we preferred it cooked. We were not given any options for spice level etc. but given this seemed upscale I didn't question it. Drinks came after the appetizer (again no big deal we had water to get started). Still wanting to love this place. We did not order family style because of a food allergy with two in our party. As two gluten free dishes came out they got started. The curry was delicious as we tried a bite. Two more dishes came, the fried rice tasted a little burned And then the last persons dinner never came. Okay, it happens, but she also never came back. Never came to check and see how things were never asked. When we finally got someone's attention and told her we never got one dish she looked annoyed. Never once said anything like sorry about that...didn't even acknowledge it. By the time it came everyone was ready to go at the table. Once the new dish got dropped off she never came back and we ended up asking for the bill at the bar.looking back I should have just canceled the last dish, it tasted a little burned like the fried rice anyway. Being the optimist I am I will probably give it one more try. And it may not be for dine in- really bummed this experience wasn't better overall. We always tip well but this was a tough one, mainly for the lack of communication. If you mess up or even if you don't think you messed up make the guest feel like you're hustling to fix it, not ignoring them and acting kinda put out. Fees on takeout are astronomical. My $47 bill came to over $63 with fees and mandatory gratuity. For takeout for 2 noodle dishes and nothing else. On that topic the medium spice had exactly the same spice level as medium hot. I like spicy food but it was almost too spicy to eat. Excellent food! We started off with the Dumplings and Spring Rolls which were delicious and light. For our entrees we had the Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai. Both were great and a good value for the price point. The portions were generous and we'll share family style next time. For the new to Thai, ask for recommendations from the waitstaff. The Drunken noodles were "rich" and typical of the spice level found in most Thai food. 30A can suffer from lackluster cuisine due to the constantly changing clientele and vacation destination. This is a much needed addition to 30A and we will be returning on future visits. We've been coming to 30A for 20+ years and have watched the area grow and options come and go. This place deserves a spot on the list of places we'll send people to in the future. read more
