Some other highlights: 1) there's a shared parking lot to the side of the building as well as metered parking in the front. It was busy when I went, so I parked around the corner- for free. 2) I wasn't a fan of the ordering process. Before I get into why, I'd recommend browsing the menu ahead of time to determine what you want. That said, we had a reservation (on Valentine's Day) and the place was understandably busy. There wasn't a hostess station so we headed to the register to check-in. That's where we learned that before being seated, we'd have to first order (and pay). With how extensive the menu was, and crowded the immediate area was- the process felt a bit chaotic and overwhelming. 3) The space is cute. A good amount of tables, and simple but cute decor. After being seated, staff stopped by at different points with bibs, gloves, and disposable plates/utensils. 4) Food took a long time to come out, but I won't ding them because again... it was busy. However, having to remind and re-remind staff of missing items (rice, garlic bread) did leave an unfavorable impression. My hope is things are more buttoned-up on an average day. That said, while I'm giving grace for the cons I still rate it as okay. I'd be down for giving it another shot during a non-peak period to see if the experience is better or the same.

Wish my meal would have been a titch hotter in temp but the food was tasty. We finished with the smoky crème brûlée which was delicious. The layout was cozy and dark with the bar at the center. I could see it being lively and loud on a busy night. Service was excellent. We took our time ordering and never felt rushed. Our food came out super fast. The staff worked as a great team.

It was in this moment that I realized this business takes their customers seriously. The waiter returned to advise the kitchen was running behind, but his manager would be out to speak with us. Upon arrival the manager advised he had some research and noticed we had been waiting a very long time. By this time food arrived at 1227P. He informed us that the bill was taken care of and gave a gift card for the inconvenience. We assured him that taking care of the bill was enough but he insisted we take the gift card as well. They do take reservations, and they fill up. However, they reserve most of the tables and booths in their bar area for "walk-in". Today was our third time being here and we have never had to wait to sit. So the Bar...you would think that bar seating would be loud, crowded and uncomfortable with poor service. Nothing could be further from the truth. My wife and I were able to enjoy our meal and comfortable conversation. Now, for the food. They have an appetizer called "Pizza Fries". Having been frequent diners at Mama's, and having pizza fries there, that was what I was expecting, a garlic and butter pizza crust with cheese on it. This is not that. The pizza fries are pizza dough deep fried. Sounds simple, and it is...but they are so addicting. You will not be disappointed. Tonight my wife and I both ordered the special which was Chicken Parmesan in vodka sauce. The sauce was tangy and delicious. The Chicken Parm was done to perfection, the chicken was moist and the breading was well done. Over all, if you want Italian comfort food, this is the place to go.
