Well they did not & 60% of my data was gone. I was devastated for days until my wife suggested a third party repair shop. I reached out to a couple businesses and after speaking to Eric with iFixit, I thought it was worth a try. What did I have to lose? I dropped off my time capsule that apple told me I had completely erased due to holding the reset button in for 10 seconds (they also couldn't pull up any info off of it). They said it requires a network to operate and access the data which they could not do. Well Eric opened the hard drive and was able to directly access the files. I was amazed and so happy. Since the files are scattered he suggested I bring in my iMac and attempt to complete a restore of data which would put the files in the correct location. Eric was right and completely saved my digital life! I am forever grateful to them and his hard work. I was surprised at how reasonable the work cost too. I have nearly 40 years of technical experience behind me and am competent enough to fix most computer glitches. However, this one was beyond even my expertise and abilities, because the file system was completely corrupted. How did this happen? There are lots of bugs in Windows 11, & when I did a system recovery, Windows corrupted the file system to the point of no return. I had most of my data backed up on a separate drive, but there was one file that was absolutely vital, because it contained information that was absolutely imperative to my business, as well as my personal affairs. I immediately got on the phone and called several computer repair services, but none of them suited my timely needs; i.e., I couldn't wait a week or longer. Then, I decided to try Yelp and received numerous replies, but only 1 really caught my eye; the one sent to me by Dominic Danko of GetItFixedAZ.com Dominic came to my house the very next day and was on time.
