A friend of mine heard of my horrible experience at a Seattle nail salon and recommended Vana to me right away. She had been going to Vana for 4 years, and swore she did the best nails she's ever had. I went to Vana for an acrylic fill, and she did not disappoint. She was quick, did an excellent job, no pain and an excellent polish. She's also a gem of a person! Her prices are more than reasonable and it's a comfortable little place. It's way out of the way for me, but I recommend her to anyone who's willing to make the drive. Ask for Vana, and make an appointment with her specifically if you can. It's worth it! read more

been here once, wouldn't recommend The customer service at this place was far less than exceptional. The owner gave me a paint although I wanted a pedicure. Claiming she was busy, there was no one in the shop. Just my friend, one other customer and another Nail Tech. She left me out to air dry, didn't offer me sandals nor did she point me in the direction of any drying station. The pedicure seats were disgusting. Old water sitting in nearly all of them and the seat closet to my friend legitimately looked like it was being used for a dust pan. Assuming because I complained, I was asked if I wanted to go outside before my nails even dried. Mentioning the wet paint, I was met with heavy glares and literal insults. 0/10 would not recommend. read more

the first time I went here it was great, I came for the second time today and was treated horribly with attitude. The older lady was too worried about watching her show and cut me twice. used super cold water to wash my legs off. didn't ask if I wanted my nails kept the same length or cut and ended up cutting them too short - not to my liking. literally threw a hot towel on my legs without asking if it was too hot or cold. I am on the shorter side so I was told I need to scoot up , my back was no where near the chair when she could've moved the whole chair up. I was told to turn my massager off when the whole point of treating yourself & supporting this business is to enjoy yourself which I did not. I don't recommend going here and I certainly will not be going back. save your money from a bad experience and go somewhere , where you are respected and valued. read more

I had some delay while getting my nails done, but overall my nails looked amazing. I went there yesterday night to get my nails done ombre and an employee I wasn't familiar with did my nails, bad idea. I usually get them done by Vana, but I was in a hurry. He ended up messing them up, Vana tried to fix it afterwards, but the damage was done. She told me she wasnt happy with the way it looked and told me to come back the next morning (they were closed)I came in the next day at 2:20 (a little late) and she did my nails wonderfully! She was super funny and nice, I know some nail places will let you leave with goofy looking nails, but not Vana Nails! Loved her work. (I received free rhinestones for the delay, paid 50$) read more

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. I've never written a bad review before. I realize not every business is perfect all the time - and getting perfect nails is pretty much impossible. However this place was absolutely horrible. I came in for a mani pedi. The pedicure was fine but I noticed she didn't scrape any dead skin off. I thought she was getting to it so I didn't say anything but next thing I knew we were moving on to the manicure. I watched the other lady start cleaning my station so before she got too far I said "I hate to be this person but is there any way we could get some more dead skin off my feet? They're not soft at all." (Which they weren't, they felt the exact same way as I came in). She literally ignored me. Looked at me, didn't say a word and went back to working on my hands. I started getting more upset when I realized she wasn't going to cut my cuticles - she just painted them as is, except clipping them a little with nail clippers. If that's not enough the color I picked was a blackish brown and what I got was a tacky neon looking purple. I mentioned that too and once again she ignored me. She then proceeded to do a top coat on only one of my hands and upon inspection I could have done a better job painting my nails than she did. What a waste of money, and not to mention time. It took an hour and a half for less than mediocre work. Never been this upset leaving a nail place before and trust me people have done horrible jobs in the past. Never going back. I read all the reviews and thought this place would be great, the staff was friendly enough. I was the only person in there. The wax wasn't too hot and she made sure to shape my brows to match their natural shape. Well then the tweezing comes. She nipped my skin three times to the point I was in tears and asked her to stop. Fast forward 5 hours and I look in the mirror and I have a black eye. I new she put wax too low (so it was on my eyelid) but I didn't think it was THAT low. I'm beyond mad. I will be going up tomorrow demanding a refund. *UPDATE* The next day I went in and calmly explained what happened, the lady went from understanding English to all of a sudden needing a translator. I wanted to start this review off with saying the lady who did my pedicure was sweet. But I don't feel as if my paint job on my pedicure was professional quality.. I do nails for a living when I lived in Florida, but I'm pregnant or else I'd just do my nails myself like I've always done. But I can't bend over anymore now to do them myself without it being a struggle & I wanted to treat myself anyways... I like my nails straight and square and the filing/ shaping wasn't that great as well (I took a file while I was there and tried to fix the shape as best as I could). I should've asked for my money back.. I don't feel like it was worth my money with this outcome.. I'd consider changing my rating if the owner made it right but I have to let my nails grow out before it can even be fixed to shape them nicely.. but again, the lady who did my nails gave a great pedicure (why I at least put 2 stars) but the shaping (which was way worse than what you see in the photo before I fixed them) and the paint job was just awful.. read more

I came in two weeks ago and van did my fill, she did a beautiful job so I came back today for my 2nd fill and today the man did my nails, not only Did he not say a word to me the entire time but he dropped multiple tools on the floor and then continue to use them, shaved my nails so poorly that none of them are the same shape, I asked for this to be corrected multiple times and they never were. He painted my nails so poorly that there's huge spaces in between my nail and my cuticle on some of the nails. The others are shaped like a square and some are shaped in the coffin shape I asked for. The polish was chunky and smudged and instead of fixing it he chose to apply clearcoat over while the first polish was still drying. This caused my nails to be smudged even more. I added a tip before the polish And Regret tipping now. Pieces of my nail Jagged/sharp and are getting caught on everything. He put my nails into a used nail polish remover sponge in my hand came out with a yellow/green tent all over my fingers. I'm sooooo upset. The owner, who is great at both doing nails and waxing eyebrows, is hardly ever there when the place opens up. Gigi is also great, but because she's the only competent one that's there when it opens, good luck getting her. I'm so disappointed. DO NOT EVER GO HERE!! They are completely shady! My manicure was great (before it got smeared with the mess below), the place was clean but the owner is completely shady! She had my credit card for more than 30 minutes and said that her machine was not working. She asked for my address and wanted a lot of identifiable information. I think she took a photo of my credit card. As her machine "did not work" and I did not have cash and needed to leave, I asked what to do. Her and her "regular" customers then told me that it was theft if I did not pay. I never planned on not paying. I offered PayPal or to mail a payment (I live over an hour away and stopped by on the way to my nephews sports event). After her customers rude remarks telling me that I was stealing by saying that I did not have cash (I only carry my credit card and there is multiple signs that say they accept credit cards)- one of them suggested that I pay via Facebook. Finally Vana (the owner) was able to have her friend figure it out so she was able to accept a Facebook payment. I do not trust this shop. I felt extremely uncomfortable at this shop and am very concerned that they have a photo of my credit card and a lot of identifiable information. read more

0 stars‼‼‼ I've been here quite a few times over a span of 20 years and every single time the experiences just got worse...this last experience was the last straw for me. I specifically booked with Vana and she pawned me off to her trainee who I've never seen. He did my nails so big and bulky and then scrubbed my fuckin palm with a filer he did it to my cousin too. Then Vana ended up painting my nails and she rushed me and was so rude like bitch I'm the one paying you why tf are you rushing me. I should have left her establishment the minute my cousin pointed out the ants that were crawling everywhere in her shop it was sickening and Vana said she knows about it. I've come here twice and had issues with my nails both times. The first time I left with air bubbles under the top coat and had to go back and get it fixed. Second time, a couple of days ago, I broke two nails and they were the closest to my house, so I decided to head in. Well, let's just say that if the other 8 nails are on perfectly polished dragon level (very good), the two she fixed are noticeably off and are pelicans. She's super nice but just not very good at doing nails. Idk if it's cuz i went in at 6 and she was anxious to leave, but I just don't like how she did them. I hate them so much that im going to pay extra money to have them fixed at my old shop on Saturday. Two stars for being nice, but please do better. read more

I got my eyebrows waxed. First let me tell you I have been getting eyebrow waxes for over 10 years. I've had some who don't pluck trim or do anything after a wax. But Vana (the owner) really did a great job. I have my eyebrows tattooed as well and I told her. She kept to the shape (yes a few have messed up on practically a stencil of an eyebrow) and it looked sharp. I will deff go back. read more

i wouldn't suggest coming here... the lady who did my nails was really awkward and i thought i wanted a manicure because i don't get this done very often, but i wanted a full set i guess. well i told her that and she got pissy and said, "you said manicure.." and then she was watching some asian show on her phone the whole time and answered a call. then when she was done she pointed me towards the drying table and didn't tell me how long to sit. i thought they were dry so i put on my jacket and the nail polish smudged. i went back inside and told her so she told me to sit down. then she mumbled something and i had to ask my sister what she said (to put my fingers in the nail polish remover jar) the other lady quickly painted my nails running out and added water to the polish because it guess it was rand she quickly did the designs again and it shows that she did a rush job. i won't be coming back here again.. read more

When it comes to Vana nails, just say no! Had a terrible experience there and could do my own nails better, which is what I had to do when my Mani Pedi was half chipped off 12 hours after getting them done. If you're down to pay 35 for a worthless mani pedi, then go ahead. But I'd say keep the money, buy a bottle of opi, do them yourself, then go out for cocktails with all the money you saved! read more

The last time I was in Vana Nails Salon was ten years ago, I loved it then. I went in recently about a month ago and WOW have they upgraded. They have the massaging spa chairs to relax in while your toes are soaking, which is nice. The place has expanded a little more and the decoration is pleasant, I love how they are still fans of the Maury show. The selection of polishes are nice, could have a little more variety of colors. The wait can be a little bit of a nuisance if you are not a patient person, fortunately I had plans to just relax afterwards. Vana did a very good job doing my mani/pedi and was patiently listening to what I wanted even when I was unsure myself. We reached a creative decision that I was pleased with, lots of compliments on my nails. I would go back again, but maybe not around a holiday such as Mother's Day :) read more
