When I tell people you'll find some of the best food ANYWHERE, in a small town like Palm Coast, they think I'm crazy. Then they try it. Another convert! Owner Frank has been in the business, so when he opened his own place, he knew how it should be, and he delivers. There is a standard menu, which is wonderful, and specials every night. These are not leftover specials, not let's upcharge people specials, these are reasonably priced, nice portions of great food that's in season. From soup and appies to desert, I've never come across food and service so good. This is your 'Cheers" bar, it's the most fun to sit around, not loud, but fun. Frank picks the wines himself. It's a wonderful wine list, you'll find Wine Spectator wine selections and ones that he's tasted and put on the list. Wine markups are below average, a great deal. Ask Frank to pick out a wine, you don't get taken advantage of, you get an outstanding wine at a good price. Steve behind the bar is great. They know your name when you walk in, his wife works there too, you get a nice hello and people that really care how you are doing. Great service on a busy Saturday night & excellent food as well. I had the wedge salad - very crisp lettuce , lots of pancetta & maytag blue cheese & the Seared Sea Scallops as my entree. Unfortunately the chef wasn't able to get my steak medium well after two tries, but the veggies and salad were delicious. The waiter over charged three of us by $2 for our steaks, which was quickly corrected; perhaps it was because I wasn't charged for two glasses of wine. The main room was very loud. I will go back and try it again, but won't order steak. I went back -- much better experience the second time, but still very loud. read more

Website specials is prime rib on Tursday which is Thursday not Tuesday. Prime rib is the best. The presentation needs to have thought put into it. Mashed potatoes were hidden under beef and serving could or should have been double as it was very small as was the serving of spinach. Service was excellent. Crème Brule was delicious as was my husbands apple desert. Smaller spoons would have been better, they were rather large. Highly recommend it. read more

386 bar grill is a great place to dine. The food is wonderful and the staff is extremely professional. If you are looking for great food you need not look any further. I truly recommend that you go this place. The petit filet mignon dish was extraordinarily tender and seasoned to taste. They also have great appetizers. We were there in May to celebrate my husbands birthday...all 4 of us were very disappointed in our meals...the lamb was very tough and chewy, my steak salad had half the slices as compared to the picture on the site..on top of that a snippy waitress and no happy birthday. read more

Not sure where to start, but I'll just say that the food and service were equally amazing. Veal chop was my favorite. Fried chicken was awesome, too. Great duck spring roll. So i have lived in palm coast for over 2 years and everyone kept telling me how wonderful this place was. So I finally went the other week and let me tell you, I don't' know where these reviews are coming from. The place itself is nothing fancy and the bar area very small. We sat at the bar and I asked the bartender to recommend me a good wine, telling him exactly what I like as I tend to enjoy a good wine, specifically telling him I prefer Italian reds to Napa. He brings me over a horrid California red. But trying to give them a chance, I did not send it back. I ordered tuna to find out they were out, so we ordered a few appetizers off the menu, the calamari, which was good and a special that was eggplant, tomatoes and mozzarella with a reduced vinegar on top. Both good, but nothing I would say different than any place else. I decided to order a bottle of wine, as the glass was not very good and although the wine list looks very nice, I tried to order a 2007 Chateauneuf Du Pape but was told they didn't have it, but tried instead to give me a 2014 at the same price. If you don't know wine, they are pretty much substituting an $80 bottle of wine with a $20 and then trying to pretend that it is the same thing. So I passed on their recommendation and after two unsuccessful attempts at other bottles on the list that they also did not have, ended up ordering a very nice 2012 Italian bottle. I gave the undrank glass back to the bartender who said to me, he really didn't like that wine much either and my question to him was then why would you recommend it to me then? As we sat at the bar, the owner was talking to a group of regulars next to us and brought out a bottle of wine to show them, I asked during the conversation if I could see the bottle, he looked at me like I was nothing and without a word set it down close to me but far enough that I had to reach to get it. I said thank you and he just ignored me. Never once asking any of us how are food was or the bottle of wine was, although he stood at the end of the bar talking to the guys for a good 10 minutes. And the bar at that time and the restaurant were both pretty dead! My bill that night was over $150, more for wine than food, but the rudeness of the staff, especially the owner, I will never go back! In a small town, where locals sustain you and especially ones who will pay your prices, you need to learn to treat better and not try to swindle them with wine swaps and rude owners... read more

This was the worst meal We've had in our 2 week stay in Crescent Beach. The steak tartare was tasteless. My risotto was simple boiled rice with some veggies and sausage thrown in. A big Yuck! The Ciopinno had mostly overcooked seafood. The only dish that was a success was the tuna. We did have a great waitress. We will never go back here. read more

Long time fan, but for my birthday dinner Waited over 1hr to be served after ordering, and my meal had less than half of the shrimp (2) and mussels (4) as one of my companions. The owner came by the table - I don't think I was rude to him, but I was Irritable for sure. He half-heartedly apologized. When we were paying, we were told by our server that he had been instructed (by the owner) not to offer a discount (for the record we did not request one) because we'd never come back anyway. Novel approach to customer relations, I guess. Truthfully, I liked the place so much- I would have written tonight off as a fluke with or without a discount... but the lack of professionalism and tact was just too much. read more

While on spring break with my family, we stayed at Hammock Beach Resort for the week (where we found the food to be average & decided to venture out). We couldn't be happier we did, because we found 386. The food was so fresh & fantastic & the service was fenominal, we ate there 3 times on our trip! All three times we ate something different from appetizers to desserts & were pleased every time. This restaurant serves high end quality food without the pretentious attitude or dress code. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like family. I only wish they would open a sister property close to my home! If you are anywhere near Palm Coast, 386 is a MUST! read more

Amazing food! Compares with the best of Orlando, Tampa, Atlanta, etc and way better than any overpriced junk in Miami. I haven't had escargot this good since I was in Marseilles. Unbelievable quality and preparation of food. The staff is quirky so don't expect resort-style service. Great wine selection and the specials could've made the menu alone. Went last Friday at 7pm. Only 4 tables filled at the time. The noise level was so bad that you could hardly think or even hear the waiter reciting the specials. Place filled in the next half hour and the noise level was thunderous. Crab cake appetizer was good. Scallop dish was good as well but only 4 medium size. Veal Marsala was excellent and nice portion. Shared a creme brûlée that was great. Not a good choice for people with hearing deficits. A lot of wine was being ordered and I guess after a few bottles the noise has limited effect. Almost a $100 bill. Not worth the head ache despite the food being pretty good. read more

To be fair, the food here is quite good and the atmosphere is lovely. That is, if you happen to get lucky and arrive at the restaurant on a night they are actually open to the public. So far, on three different occasions, we've gone up to the restaurant for dinner only to find out that the entire restaurant--bar included--is closed for a "private event." No indication of this is ever placed on 386's website, or the Facebook page, or anywhere that might inform a patron that the restaurant is closed to the general public. We've gotten so disgusted with this that we are just going to stop going. I find it insulting to have to call the restaurant every time we think we might want to eat there to make sure we are "permitted" to do so. If 386 wants to be a private catering business, more power to them. But then they should stop advertising themselves as a "restaurant" in light of how often they close without notice. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside but inside the people are welcoming. The food was excellent. We started with the rice balls (aroncini). Our entrees were delicious- steak with Gorgonzola, cioppino with risotto and lasagna. We highly recommend. read more

My husband and I and many of our friends frequent this restaurant often and are never disappointed. The food is always perfection. It is a fusion of fine dining In a beach community. Frank is an amazing host! The atmosphere is casual elegant. The service is excellent. You must make reservations if you don't want to miss out. My husband and I stopped in recently without a reservation and Frank had to turn us away. The next visit he was very apologetic (not his fault). He bought us a glass of wine and desert. Thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience! Completely unexpected. From the outside, it looks like a regular beachy type restaurant. A closer look shows you how much attention to detail has been placed. The inside decor is something like upscale shabby chic - not stuffy, not cheap, but tasteful and comfortable without being overwhelming. An impressive wine list and outstanding beer selection are offered. The food was simply outstanding. We tried several dishes and each was better than the last. Most were specials for the evening, and when the chef tells you he has a special dish prepared, you should try it without thinking twice. Generous portions, top quality ingredients, expertly prepared and seasoned. We will be going back there for sure on our next trip! read more

If you cannot appreciate fine dining then stay away for you will be disappointed by the prices (which are reasonable for fine dining). But, if you are accustomed to paying more for good ingredients and good flavor, then this is the only place in the area. This is not fried seafood and glorified bar food pretending to be a nice beach restaurant. This is the real deal. Except for the decorum which is a little rough. For a nice date night, please consider doing yourself a favor and try 386. Have been here before food was good, but this time had the so called Tomahawk ribeye the steak had very little flavor and was overpriced @ $60. I get a ribeye at Carrabas for $24 that is 10x better service was very slow for $60 didn't even get a salad got a spoon full of Risotto and that's all. Was definitely not a $60 steak. Restaurant was also very dirty for the price of the dinners you would expect a little nicer atmosphere. Will not be going back. read more

We have been driving by 386 for 3 years and finally stopped in last night. So happy we did! We stopped in on the Saturday of Easter weekend with no reservations, so we were happy to find a seat at the bar to have our dinner. The food and the service were both fantastic. The ahi tuna appetizer was amazing...with their own unique signature touch. I will order this every single time. The black grouper was cooked to perfection and so very flavorful. Stay away. Went there a few times and got reasonable food and service but a really nice pour of wine. Went tonight with a large group. Got Eric for a waiter. Got a small amount of wine, and when I mentioned that was one of the 'selling points' about going there, he said people had been getting fired for that, and that made everyone at our table uncomfortable. I told him I would like either a 'reasonable' glass of wine, or a Blue Moon beer. He ended up bringing me a water. Don't go. read more

Had the Ahi-tuna that was the best in Flagler County. Much better than Blue. My wife had the bone-in pork chop that was 1.25" thick and was very tender and properly cooked. 386 is a great addition to Flagler County. Make sure you have reservations. It is a very popular place. read more

Great food!!! Great staff!!!! My husband, myself and my 27 year old son and 23 year old son ate at 386 and can not rave enough about how good the food and service was. We had 2 appetizers, 4 different entrees and 2 desserts - It was all Wonderful!! The sushi was some of the best that I have had and we eat it quite frequently. The owner, Frank, was very attentive and made us feel comfortable and made the night even more enjoyable. We went last year when it was new to the area but all I can say is that the food has only improved and we enjoyed it last year as well. We will continue to go every time we are in Palm Coast which is the month of July and October. I am glad that a really good restaurant is close to condo. Keep up the good work!!! read more

Very disappointed. Ordered staeks and was it awful...Overcooked and very tough.. I think they bought the steak from the Local supermarket..it was that bad...really. The service was fair at best. My husband enjoys everything, but, I was looking for a good crabcake, we are from Maryland, Chesapeake Bay country, WE have great seafood there, but 386, is right up there with the best.
