I cannot say enough incredible things about 3930 EGO Salon, and especially about Michael Gierl and Shara Serrano. They were absolute dreams to work with on my wedding day. Michael and Shara did hair for me, 10 of my bridesmaids, my mother, and my mother-in-law, and every single person looked and felt absolutely stunning. They brought everyone's vision to life while enhancing each person's confidence and personal style. Every hairstyle was flawless, glamorous, and held beautifully throughout the entire day and night. Beyond their undeniable talent, they were professional, organized, punctual, and incredibly calm, which is exactly what you want on a wedding morning. The schedule ran smoothly, no one felt rushed, and the energy they brought into the room was positive, supportive, and fun. Michael truly went above and beyond in a way I will never forget. In addition to making my hair perfect, he stayed to help me with things completely outside of hair -- including helping me put on my overskirt (which turned into a three-person job!) and even carrying the train of my wedding dress down the stairs to make sure I was fully supported and taken care of. Because of Michael and Shara, we all felt confident, glamorous, and so incredibly grateful. They didn't just do our hair -- they were a meaningful part of one of the most important days of my life. Ego is a nice salon tucked away in the heart of Houston with a surprisingly large parking lot! My experience was transforming. Timothy has magical hands! I wanted a change from my long hair to lob/bob. To get rid of the old damaged ends. He helped me work through deciding which length and color would look best on me. Been going to Stephanie (for color) and Michael (for cut) for a while. Service is great from both - but the lighting is HORRIBLE in this place. I have had to return to Stephanie for highlight re-do the last 3 times I have seen her - we cannot determine the color results due to the poor lighting. Sitting in the chair (for both Michael and Stephanie) the color under those lights is completely different from when I walk out of the salon. PLEASE do something about those lights!!! read more

I want to start by saying my stylist Calvin was incredibly nice and very personable and I have no issue with the service he provided, but I was shocked by the price. I was inside the building for a total of 50 minutes (arrived at 12:30 and left at 1:20) and charged 300$ in the end. The original price was 345$ but I think he realized I was a bit taken back so he removed the 45$ for the wash and styling. I had 2 rows of extensions moved up and the cost is 150$ per row. I understand that is their pricing policy but wish I had been informed of this before the appointment since it's so steep for something that didn't take much time. It works out to be 360$per hour, which is significantly more than I make as a physician. I don't often write negative reviews and the service was great but I cannot get over what I was charged for 50 minutes of work. read more

Bell has been my color stylist for almost 2 years now and she's done a great job every time I've gone. I followed her from one salon to here because I was so happy with her work. She took my hair from a medium brown to an ash blonde to purple colormelts to a soft honey blonde and all of her advice has kept my hair healthy the whole time. The salon itself has an open, airy, modern, vibe and I actually don't mind spending hours here while my hair's being bleached or dyed. The staff is all super kind and accommodating. Michael Markle is the best hair artist! He is sent from the hair Gods above. I had long brown virgin hair and wanted to spice it up a bit. I went with a full highlight and he turned me into a beautiful blond!! I can't believe how wonderful it turned out. I was so scared that I was making a mistake by getting color in my hair since I had no coloring previously but the mistake was not meeting Michael earlier!! You will love your hair and experience with Michael. I've gone back to get partial highlights to touch up twice since. Katy had the confidence and talent needed to take my thick, curly hair from super-long to super-short at my very first appointment with her this past summer! If I could give less than 1 star, I would. Jason cut my hair and when I returned to work, I was told my numerous co-workers that it was cut at a huge slant in the back. I went back the next day and even the receptionist said "Oh my!!" when I showed it to her. He laughed and cut a little more but it couldn't be fixed without cutting a lot more of my hair off. I have been going to Belle for 8+ years and she never disappoints! She is always up to date with all the current trends and I could literally throw anything at her and she would be able to do it (within reason of course). What I love most is she takes her time with her clients and doesn't rush you out the door like some other salons. She truly cares about her clients (quality over quantity). I cant tell you how many compliments I get a week on my hair. I am already a natural dirty blonde however she always gets me to a super icy blonde. And for many colorist that can be hard to achieve! It wasn't until I started seeing Belle did I get the results I was looking for. I always leave her chair feeling like a million bucks!
