I live in the neighborhood but had been driving to a stylist over 45 min away for years. I decided to give Ella + Oak a try, despite being very particular about my hair. I saw Rhawnie and I'm so glad I did! She is a blonde perfectionist. She was very thorough, made sure to save plenty of time for me as a new client and didn't rush the process. I really appreciated that. The salon was small but clean and cute. Everyone was friendly and fun - very low key and no snobbiness, which is refreshing vs some of the upscale salons I've tried in the past. Rhawnie listened to what I wanted and suggested we try something different than the full highlights I was used to. She was very knowledgeable and actually cared about the health of my hair, not just getting me light as fast as possible. Her suggestions were spot on and resulted in a much nicer, richer look. I've been coming here since before the rebrand. I see Angelica and she is truly an artist when it comes to balayage. Getting my hair done here is an investment and coming here is well worth my time and money. I don't have to come every 6-8 weeks for my balayage to still look great. My hair grows out beautifully and I can come back after 4-6 months or longer and get it refreshed and it continues to look amazing. Angelica also does a great job on my haircuts as well. read more

Unfortunately I can't recommend this salon. The only thing I can save is the vibe , I will not mention anyone by name cause they were very polite. But hair coloring was a horrible experience , it was also very expensive. I went in needing a retouch on my blonde , came out with all shades of brown and orange but not blonde. Not only is she amazing at what she does, she's very easy to talk to which is great considering when you're getting your hair done, you're there for a couple of hours.
