Good luck trying to find a place to have a decent espresso drink in this area. So sad to pay the same amount as in Eataly and this staff has no clue how to steam or calibrate anything. Would 100% be the best idea to invest in some training so that a guest doesn't burn our mouth or basically ruin the taste of the beans by how they pull the shot. Beautiful furnishings. A variety of seating for lounging, eating, or working. A few private corners for work or other meetings. Pleasant jazz/funk electronic music, similar to a lobby of an Aloft hotel versus the 80s pop rock more typical to casinos. Food is casino overpriced, apparently "5 star hotel" guests aren't supposed to care. A toasted bagel was the same price as six in the supermarket. Coffee (latte) was pretty good and high average pricing. Mocha had all the syrup stuck at the bottom under ice and milk. Alternative milks are an extra $1.29 upcharge. My dining companion's quiche was under warmed and so the eggs near the crust were cold. Service was prompt and average for a coffee counter, especially one that has no reason to build loyalty. read more

What's great about this place is the super convenient location. Unlike other coffee spots in casino hotels, this one is right next to the guest elevators... making it so easy to slip downstairs early in the morning to grab some much-needed coffee. Prices are a bit higher than what you might find at a Starbucks, but this IS inside the Delano and again, you didn't walk a mile through smoke cloaked slot machines to get here. They have a small but interesting menu of food choices. I liked the pastry sampler (something like a bakers basket?? forget the proper name) which consisted of three mini pastries. Not the most delicious baked goods you'll ever have, but definitely enough to get you going in the morning. There is a cool seating area if you feel like getting dressed and taking your coffee and pastries in public. This is one of the great features of staying at the Delano and I'm so glad they're open for business again! read more

Like many other Delano guests, we came out of convenience. It's the only option on property open before 7:00 AM, which we needed due to an early pickup time for an excursion. It's ridiculously overpriced. We paid ~$35 for two breakfast sandwiches and one croissant, which were all mediocre at best. Unfortunately our room in the Delano did not have a fridge or microwave, and the next closest breakfast option felt too far to walk given the hour of the day (Backstage Deli in the Luxor open 24-hours). In hindsight, I'd rather pick up shelf stable breakfast options (muffins/croissants, banana, apple, etc) from the nearby Target than to waste money here. Gave two stars for its early business hours and nice ambiance. But that's where it ends. read more

Convenient location if you are a guest at Delano! But as others have mentioned before - try to go early or later because during morning rush hour (9-11), the line gets really backed up. There were only 2 workers and they would prep the meal/drink that was just ordered right then and there which I guess is good to get your items asap. Prices are quite high.. $12.99 for the brioche breakfast sandwich and $5.99 for a coffee but they were tasty! Skip out on the madeline to go pastry though - those were not yum. This review is for the blueberry crumble muffin only. This coffee shop was a quick few steps from the guest elevators in the Delano. Although I did see longer lines- I did not have to wait long before 9am. The muffin was moist, a good crumble and an average number of blueberries for $3.99. read more

Cute little coffee shop that also has a small array of food offerings. The mocha latte was soo good! Chocolate-y but not overly so, and the espresso didn't overpower the rest of the drink. I had a seasonal pastry which was just OK, apple spiced danish which was a little dry. The highlight of my review, though, were the two baristas- a wild Karen was going on a rampage over a small, easily correctable mistake (which they fixed with lightening speed) but they handled her meltdown so well. I commend these women for not losing their shit because I would have. Didn't want to throw hands during the pandemic and all, yanno. read more

Visited this cafe on the word of a friend and was pleasantly surprised with the coffee here. I ordered an Americano and was pleased with how strong the espresso was. I prefer to savor the taste of the coffee itself and then water it down with creme and sugar. I also grabbed breakfast here with a cup of oats in the goji blueberry flavor. It was great and was not at all sweet. You could taste the oats. The atmosphere surrounding this cafe is great with natural wood on the floor and the paneling too. I enjoy walking through the Delano, what a beautiful hotel it is. Now I know that the coffee here may be a little pricey for us locals that I am all into paying for great quality. Coffee here is OK if you're looking to grab a cup. I got an Americano and it was way too watered down (despite me being told it had three shots of espresso). Better off getting a drip somewhere else for a cheaper price. This place isn't even convenient, as the line of caffeine addicted customers stretches the entire Delano lobby. If you see a line, feel free to find coffee someplace else, this place isn't worth the wait. read more

What a disaster... it was only 10 AM on a Friday and they were out of everything we asked for: - NO Parfait Yogurt - NO marshmallow whipped cream for my S'mores Mocha coffee - NO bagels for my kids - NO Half & Half in the pitchers OATMEAL: At least they had the most delicious oatmeal called "Nuts and Seeds." That was the only thing that saved our hungry tummies. WARNING: if you don't get there by 8:30 AM, they may not be stocked with anything you desire. * 30 MINUTE WAIT ON HOT ITEMS: ALL of the HOT breakfast items such as the breakfast burrito, croissant sandwich, and any sandwich for that matter comes from next-door and is a 30 minute wait. They should post a sign so people won't be disappointed and will head down from their room with the wiggle room to wait. * here is a picture of their very empty cabinet and the only food you see in the picture is from next-door with a 30 minute wait. Located in the very nice and sleek Delano Hotel (of Mandalay Bay), this boutiquey feel of a hotel offers a boutiquey coffee place. Well, I wished they would offer up a Bucks or a Bean. 4 people in line should not take 10-15 mins to get your crafted order. 4 people behind the counter should streamline the whole operation, but instead, disorganization and slowness lives here. Plus, the end product is not very good. I found the Delano Blend (the house coffee) watery. The Cafe Americano did not have the nice espresso bold flavor to it, again, too much water added. It's well-designed, has varied seating from couches to communal high-tops, but that's the highlight. Else, it fails. read more

This is a great little coffee shop that is in a great location and offers a relaxing atmosphere. The service was great with every visit. The coffee is hot and strong and the baked goods are fresh. Today I added a bagel with lox to my morning order. ($19.00) The lox was delicious and I was surprised by the amount that was given in the little plastic container. The only flavor was from the chocolate syrup. Very little graham crackers crumbles (was pretty much dust) to add any flavor. At least the house coffee didn't taste burnt. Legalistically named and across the way from Franklin it was just after 3pm that I arrived at the brightly lit bar and with folks from an ongoing tech conference occupying several tables as well as the leather recliners in the corner a quick chat with friendly baristas yielded a double espresso over ice and a six-part sampling of the day's pastries, the total just under twenty-seven dollars. Noting that $5 for a double over ice is more-or-less the going price at every Strip-side Starbucks suffice it to say that the Grand Avenue Roasted shots from 3940 are a significant upgrade over the competition, and with similar praise lavished on a warm sticky bun that somehow maintains crunchy layers of lamination beneath a mountain of candied pecans and butter one only wishes the rest of the wares could have been so good, the cupcake far better to look at than to eat given the substantially sweet and paste-thick icing while each of the cookies, save for graham-cracker caramel studded 'Smores, was almost brownie-dense and entirely one note. Offering better coffee than almost any coffee bar on the strip, along with several interesting lattes and fresh squeezed juices, but exceedingly expensive for sandwiches that look no more interesting than Panera it seems the best bet for a visit to 3940 is for beverages alone and although the sticky bun is quite excellent, an even better version can be had fresh to order from Della's Kitchen just down the hall. read more

If you're staying at the Delano, you'll find this venue located across from the elevators. For convenience, this is the place to go for morning breakfast and coffee. My advice is to get there either really early or really late. During the typical morning rush, they're not prepared to handle the volumes. Therefore it took me 40 minutes to get a breakfast burrito and a juice. While the line was 25 minutes long, I was told the burrito would be an additional 15-20 minutes to make. They encourage you to just get a beverage and possibly a bagel or donut since they're already made. There's probably a more efficient way to do this, but they probably don't care. My burrito was filling, but not very flavorful. Comes with a small cup of fruit. Orange juice and breakfast burrito and 40 minute wait equals $25. read more

I was excited when I saw on the Delano website that 3940 Coffee and Tea offers afternoon tea - I love afternoon tea and I was going to be staying at the hotel so how perfect was that?! I did not see any information on tea reservations on the website, so I called the hotel to inquire about it. The person I spoke with did not sound too knowledgeable when asked about afternoon tea reservations, and even sounded as if she was reading straight from the website while I was speaking with her. In the end she told me that 3940 was a walk-in only establishment, so walk in is what we did. Imagine our disappointment when we were informed that afternoon tea was by 24-hour advance notice only. After explaining the above to the barista, he spoke with a manager in the back, Tiffany, who then came out to speak with us. We were told that due to the busy season being over that there were less employees; therefore, afternoon tea could no longer be offered on a daily basis. We were going to be in town for such a short amount of time and could not squeeze their afternoon tea any other time during our stay, so the manager apologized for the misinformation on the website and over the phone and made sure we did not leave disappointed. She offered to make us our teas herself even though it was something she had not really done before, and even brought us some pastries - all on the house! We basically got our afternoon tea after all, without the savory sandwiches, though. That by all means was okay with us, as we were well taken care of by management. Thank you, Tiffany, for serving us personally and making sure we left happy customers :) Afternoon tea is no longer listed on the website, so if you are interested, I would suggest rather than calling actually going to 3940 to ask about it and make reservations - just give 24 hours advance notice. (Assuming that they are still doing afternoon tea.) If it's still offered, I highly suggest it - teas were tasty and pastries fresh and yummy! I'm usually not a fan of these kind of small chain coffee places inside the hotels and casinos because the prices are beyond ridiculous! This too was no exception however when you have a food and beverage credit that you can use on the casinos dime? Oh I'm all for coming then! I ordered the Green Juice ($7) which is this tiny cup of kale..ginger..and some other stuff. Taste was healthy but worth $7? Nah.. Then to the chicken hummus wrap which I believe was $11 and the taste was just okay..again not worth the money.. Onto the breakfast wrap which was pretty good and lastly the cupcake latte which was different but yet tasty! Bottom line would I return again? Bagels are hidden in the back. Are not listed on menu and we wouldn't have even known they had bagels had another customer not ordered it. ($5 by the way) My drink order was wrong because she didn't care to hear me because she was being so rude. When I corrected the barrista she was kind enough to make the correct drink but nobody offered a refund for the price difference. This place is expensive but convenient when you are on a schedule and leaving early.
