This unpleasant little surprise transformed me into a woman obsessed with light fixtures, as in finding the perfect ones ASAP. Turns out that my Mama had actually purchased a fixture here years ago, and in perusing their website they appeared to have some really unique offerings that were cool without being overly funky. Levi, the chatty guy who mans the shop, has no qualms about talking you through every option imaginable in terms of building your own customized fixtures, so brace yourself for a long visit. You can choose between multiple different types of metal, colors for the glass, and a bunch of other little options to make this your dream light fixture. If I were of higher financial means (ie. not practically broke after purchasing a house in SC) I might be more inclined to drop somewhere in the neighborhood of $700 by actually ordering a fixture, since they really are amazing. Luckily they had almost exactly what I wanted as a floor sample for about half the price, so I went with that! Levi loves to promote the "bargain alley" where they have an assortment of samples/ excess for quite reasonable prices given the quality of the workmanship. He also hooked us up with a discount for ordering multiple items once we tacked on a couple fixtures for the yard, which was a nice touch to convince us to buy bulk on a budget. My only annoyance (other than the wealthy person envy all those super expensive fixtures inspired) was that we had to call a couple times in order to track down our custom outdoor fixtures. The level of customer service was definitely a notch higher BEFORE the sale, but to some extent that's to be expected.

If there was more than one possibility he would explain them and ask your preference before proceeding, always focused on the client's aesthetic vision.

The quality of their work was outstanding with great attention to detail, timeliness and flexible schedules, and clean work area. They were willing and able to explain the work needed in a way I could understand, which I greatly apprectiated. We called 3R about a failure of our 240 line and had quick help. Rey thoroughly and carefully investigated our system and advised us that PG&E needed to be contacted since it was not a problem originating I the house or I any of the in house lines. The utility company agreed with his assessment and found that little or no current was coming to the house from their box near the street. Rey did not charge us for the visit. We definitely will employ 3R Electrical for future projects we have planned. read more

For the past three months the power has been out in one section of our tiny condo in San Jose. We had another electrician come out to view our problem, but they could not find it and said they would recommend removing a portion of our wall and ceiling to check the wiring which may have shorted somewhere in between. Also, it would be $85 an hour, not including parts to do the job. Since neither of us had time to deal with the issue due to work schedules, we put it off. Now that we're in contract to purchase another property and plan to rent this unit, we needed to repair the electrical. I contacted a recommended electrician from a list composed by a Realtor who created "The Northside Yellow Pages" (which is where we plan on moving). Dean Pappas of Pappas Electrical showed up at the agreed upon time, was friendly and courteous, and carefully, but quickly, checked all of our outlets and switches. He was thorough and found an outlet that I didn't even know existed by moving our heavy dresser. That was the culprit which he managed to fix in no time at all! Simply amazing. It took a good two hours or so to go through our cluttered place (remember we're still packing for our move) and make the repair. No walls or ceilings were torn out thankfully and he charged a small flat fee for the service call. If I could select more than 5 stars, I would. People like Dean Pappas are worth more than their weight in gold for the excellent and reliable services they provide.
