Had a really frictionless and painless sale of our Subaru Crosstrek here. Highly recommend. They gave me a competitive quote. -I scheduled an appointment to sell it. -I arrived at the appointment. Most of the damage to the vehicle I purchased happened at Carmax while it was being processed…read more I had an SUV shipped from a Carmax in Colorado to this facility. It had a few very minor scratches that were documented. I inspected the car first thing and it looked good and I asked to take it out for a drive and we began some paperwork to make it happen. The salesperson pulled the SUV into a receiving area for my test drive. While getting in, I noticed multiple vertical deep scratches on the driver's side door I hadn't noticed when I did my preliminary walkaround inspection just 20 minutes earlier. They were actually more serious than any of the minor documented scratches disclosed when the vehicle was shipped so I didn't understand how they could have been missed. I mentioned it to the sales rep upon return and was promptly dismissed. He didn't seem concerned at all and urgently ran off to return the car to the secure lot. Maybe they became more noticeable from the different lighting and direct sunlight. He mentioned later that he had trouble putting the lockbox back on the window because it kept rolling back down while he was trying to resecure it in the full up position. The plastic wind guard trim didn't help, Im sure. Apparently the car was detecting the lockbox as an obstruction as if there was a finger in the way triggering it to fully retract as a safety feature automatically, taking the lockbox down with it. I didn't think much about his comment at first, but put it all together after the fact. When the window was rolled down, the heavy lockbox Carmax struggled to hang on the window glass scratched the door...multiple times as they were fussing with it. The scratches are vertically aligned and exactly below where the lockbox was. Most scratches are horizontal, so these were odd looking. They weren't disclosed in the car listing because the car was most likely damaged in the care of Carmax after I paid to have it shipped. Since I am already into the car for shipping costs, no matter what I do, even if I return it, I'm out at least the $800 I sunk in shipping. So even walking away would be really expensive. The 2023 SUV only had 5K miles on it. Now I own it, and it looks like hell. I'm actually ill over this for not being more assertive. They ruined a really great SUV and stuck me with their sloppy damage and negligence. It looks like it was aggressively keyed. What I ordered and shipped, wasn't what I got. Now I get to drive it around, potentially for years, looking like someone who gets their car keyed. BUYER BEWARE. Don't give Carmax ANY money in advance. Don't have a car shipped. Just wait for the right one to pop up locally. Before you drive away, do a final inspection and match up any damage with what was originally disclosed.

Worst car-buying experience I've ever had. Was told to come back to pick up the Title to the car…read more Came back when told to do so, and no Title. Drove back to Beaverton, OR. Finally got the Title in the mail. When I went to the DMV, the Title was not signed by them, so I had to go back to Vancouver from Beaverton to get them to sign the Title. When I said I wasn't happy about the inconvenience, I was I was full of bulls** and to leave. So, I would say my experience has shown they are incompetent and rude. I would not buy from there again. I have been really inconvenienced and treated poorly. Never once did I receive an apology.

Met a "dealer", likely a curbstoner, named Raymond "Victor" Cianci of Aman Corp. on Craigslist. I…read morelearned later that he is a former employee of J&M Auto Sales. His long time friend, Jeremy, who works here was there the day that Ray brought me to sign papers for the car he had posted on Craigslist. Ray was up front that he did not work for this dealership and that he was friends with the business. Ray sold me a 2004 Honda Odyssey. I knew it had transmission issues almost immediately after taking it on sustained highway speeds, and had it looked at by Bill's on highway 99, who confirmed the issues, as well as the Honda dealership in Hillsboro. Ray signed on the bill of sale that he would buy back the vehicle within 7 days, but he ignored and avoided my phone calls for the entire week, also telling me that he was out of town even as he was meeting with other people I knew to try to sell them more presumably broken cars. To his credit, Jeremy was a very friendly guy when I showed up. He took me to the back room and offered me a "dab", which is essentially hash oil. He then offered to sell me some weed that he told me his family is growing in California, and gave me some for free, which I was grateful for. After I couldn't get a hold of Ray for a week, I was stuck in Vancouver and stranded with a van with a bad transmission and an ignition lock that stopped turning after a week. I went to ask Jeremy to buy the van back and get the money from his friend Ray. Jeremy informed me that he was not legally responsible to do anything. I told him he may be correct, but there was definitely an ethical responsibility because he was letting an unlicensed dealer sell cars from his lot. He told me he was sure that Ray was indeed licensed, but could not provide me with the dealer number and was even baffled that Ray had not signed his name anywhere on the papers. Jeremy offered to replace the transmission for $500 or trade in the Honda for a different car on the lot. I asked him to put himself in my shoes. I was trying to get out of town and I could not risk another bum car. I needed the money because at that point I had resolved to cut my losses and rent a car to head south, which I ended up doing. These two were friends and the entire thing was very shady. I asked him to just buy the van back and deal with Ray, but he refused. He told me that he would definitely give me a statement if I decided to pursue legal action against Ray, called him up on the phone, and when he informed Ray I was there on the lot, Ray hung up the phone. Jeremy let me know he would call ray that night and call me back the same night. It's been over a week and I have not heard from either of them. I let Jeremy know that I would be leaving a review on the business and he told me that was fine, just don't lie. So, here it is. Unless you are mechanically inclined, a mechanic, or know someone mechanically inclined to help you look for a vehicle, I would stay away from this place. It is bad news in my experience. However, I did give them one extra star because the weed Jeremy was selling out of the lot was actually pretty decent. If you are looking for a car and dealers who won't give you any problems, I cannot recommend this lot. If you are looking for decent weed at a fair price and you don't want to be ID'd, go talk to Jeremy. But the prices at the Herbery are definitely better.

They give you the price over the phone for their initial work and stick to that price, everything is computerized for consistency and accuracy. They are on-time and fast. The report they provide includes tons of pictures and non-mechanic wording to explain what you're reading. They quote you all the repair options based on their findings and let you choose your own adventure on what work you'd like for them to do, or not do. Vince Carrasco is incredibly friendly and the info his team provides is clear, concise, and accurate. The folks in the office were super fun to talk to. I will 100% go back for everything I need a pro to do.

I took a chance on KAB Motors after browsing their website. I am so thankful that I went with KAB Motors to inspect my vehicle before I purchased it. They were able to make me an appointment that was convenient with my schedule as I was flying in from out of state. They were welcoming and greeted me with a smile and inspected my vehicle in a very timely manner. Their detailed report of what they found was extremely helpful and very descriptive. They were able to answer any additional questions that I had and shared their honest opinions about the vehicle so that I wouldn't be making a mistake when purchasing it. On top of all this, their pricing was extremely fair (I was shocked at how cheap it was, compared to what I was expecting it to be!). I highly recommend checking out KAB Motors and taking your vehicle to be serviced there. If I lived around the area, I would always go there to have my vehicles taken care of.
