I give this nail salon a two star because today when I walked in about 10 am I was asked what I needed I told them a fill and then asked to sit down. then this guy I never seen came. which prompted me to ask for cindy who has previously did my nails as was very polite. the owner or whoever sits by the register and answers the phone was very rude and continue to help other people after sending that man away. I waiting about 30 mins before asking what was going on the lady by the register was like oh you asked for Cindy so you wait for Cindy I was like so because I asked if she was available you assumed I was going to wait two hours for her. all in all this experience definitely was not pleasant because of the lack of customer service. they need not to assume and be more tentative towards customers. read more

WARNING!! This place will butcher your nails and have no regrets. They have a sign hanging up that states everyone must pay. I did pay because I thought maybe it would not be that bad. When I got to my car I was in tears and decided to go back and ask for my money. They refused the refund and would not fix them on the spot. They told me I could come back the following day and they would fix my nails by giving me fake ones. After I attempted to get a refund my husband did also with no luck. This place is terrible and I would encourage you to use a different nail salon. (The pictures provided were taken less than an hour after service. All of my nails look like the side picture.) I'm giving this place 5 stars based on the service I have received. I have read the bad reviews and totally understand where you are coming from. You have to know the area and demographic. These girls work hard. There are 2 master acrylic and gel specialists that take appointments. Linda and Cindy are the best. I like it here. The guy that sits in the front may be a little abrasive, but that aside the salon is nice and prices are good for the quality you get. Don't be afraid of bad reviews. I wish there were negative stars honestly. I had gone here more than once for refills and they were decent but each visit was a little worse than the last but I'm not one to complain to much about my services if it gets me through the day, and the job is clean then I'm fine. The last and final time I would ever go back there was horrible. of course it starts off nice you think you're gonna leave with a good job but I honestly don't know what was wrong with this lady. All I was getting was a gel MANICURE meaning on my bare nails they basically just had to paint them. The first time I had gotten this done here another woman did a great job so I thought I would go back for a second time but that was a huge mistake. Long story short the lady was rushing and did a shitty job blaming it on the gel polish, so I gave her another shot the same day and I just picked a different color. She pretty much gave me the same job and my nails were just a mess as you could see in the pictures. They wanted $25 for this crap job and I wasn't gonna pay and I don't even know why I handed this lady my money but I did, left, and came back because I was crying and frustrated in the car after the 3 1/2 hours I wasted in there. I kept saying I was unhappy and their only solution was to put more topcoats on my nails. I went back like 5 mins after I left asking to get the polish removed and for my money back. They took it off refused to give me my money and just kept waving me out. I pretty much got robbed of my money to leave with nothing.This place is all nice until you don't like what you get, they do what they want and to bad if it's a shit job. Guess I will have to get use to the price of"high maintenance" Good points...Tuesday mid afternoon walk-ins were okay. Nice new spa recliners for pediacures. My manicure was average. Customers were very nice also. What I didn't care for was: The price..$9.95 for Manicure (just regular manicure) $19.95 for a Pedicure. There didn't seem to be any privacy for waxing, I may be wrong on this but one poor woman was being worked on by 2 people, 1 male doing her Pedicure, 1 female doing her nails and waxing her entire face...eyebrows,lip,chin, neck and sides of face. Not for nothing but gimme some privacy here. I would imagine private parts of the body like Brazilian bikini waxes and the like are done in a back room but I wouldn't want to be getting my face stripped in front of other people. As far as the pedicure went...didn't see anything being done to warrant the price of $19.95, seriously I pay $13.00 for a regular pedicure in N.Y. with all the same steps.A manicure is $6.00. Any waxing even eyebrows is done in a back room. I don't like it when different people are performing manicures and pedicures. I always have one girl that I make an appt. for in N.Y. and she does the manicure,pedicure and eyebrows. Everything is sterilized after each person is done. Don't want to sound mean, biased,racist or anything like that and get hate mail but I didn't quite like the fact that there was a big screen TV on the wall blasting and I do mean blasting some foreign rock n roll program. Really bad place nobody understands English they have a really bad attitude I did a pedicure and a manicure they used a drill to file down my toenails which I've never had done before they didn't do anything for the bottom of my feet they just scrubbed them like that I could've done at home when it came time to do my nails he kept on pulling my hand violently and then he cut my cuticle on my thumb and made me bleed then he was drilling my nails and I told him I just wanted a manicure not a full set and he said yeah I know and continued to drill my nails down about two weeks later when the regrowth started to happen on my nails I noticed a bump on my nailbed because he filed my nails down and then they started to break in the same thing is happening with my toenails he filed my toenails so much that they are splitting and cracking they should be shut down by the Board of Health read more

I got a pedicure there a couple weeks ago and it was literally the worst pedi i ever had the woman who did my pedi used rubber globes when rubbing my feet and legs it was extremely uncomfortable if touching peoples feet grosses her out to the point that she needs to wear gloves shes in the wrong profession also the way she cut my nails was so bad its actually hurts because now they are growing in all wrong and its very painfull and when she scraped my feet it hurt and was not at all relaxing or enjoyable when i pulled my foot away because i could not longer bare the pain she yanked my foot back as if i was annoying her by pulling my foot away i was so angry when i left there and will never ever go back there again read more

Wow, Marie's review is off the charts inaccurate. Is the Bronx really cheaper than greater New Haven???? I have been going to these guys on and off for years. They are kind, patient, do a good job, and they are cheap, cheap, cheap! Many places in the greater New Haven area are much pricier, and you end up with a sub par outcome. Also, as for the "foreign language" TV station, many of the employees' first language is not English, Marie.
