Very good BBQ for the price! We've had their food truck twice in our neighborhood now and I'm just constantly impressed by them. They're quick and the BBQ is quite amazing especially the brisket- juicy, tender, and flavorful. The burnt ends sandwich was good and while my husband didn't like that it was sauced, I loved it! The Mac and cheese was also good in flavor (corn bread was meh) The only things keeping me from a 5 star review is 1. I wish they sold the meat by the pound instead of sandwiches 2. The sauces could use a bit of rework.

Our visit to 402 BBQ left a little more to be wanted. They were set up at the Mastercraft building in N. Downtown, and there was a little craft fair going on at the time as well as live music and an "open house" for some of the business there. We wanted to try as many things as we could on the menu between the two of us, so we ordered the brisket and pulled pork sandwich with mac and cheese on top, and sausage/brat with mac and cheese. Perhaps we got there just a little too late, but the food was luke warm when served to us and seemed like the end of the day type service too. The speed was also surprising, I was handed my meal to me immediately as I was paying. Almost TOO quickly. I understand it was BBQ but that was too fast. As far as the brisket and the pulled pork- A OK! Nothing to write home about but certainly not bad in the least. The sausage/brat was just a disappointment to me, I thought the casing was rubbery and not snappy, and the temperature was too cold for my taste. I'd give it a try again, but this time I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be.

Maybe it was just an off day or something but I stopped here to grab a quick snack for lunch in between beers and tried the special of the day meatball sandwich. Overall, meh. It was actually on the cold side, given it was cold outside I didn't expect a scalding hot sandwich but luke warm would have been nice. The flavor was decent but I'll pass next time I see the truck.

402 BBQ Food Truck visited my work neighborhood today. I enjoyed the heck out of it! Thought it was all pretty solid - kind of made my afternoon. Went 1/2 brisket 1/2 pork sandwich on a Rotella's hoagie and a side of cheddar jalapeno corn bread. Sweet Bourbon sauce was a nice addition. Staff processed a decent crowd quickly. If they park near your work, it's worth a short walk.

Food vendor at my workplace though they serve indoors rather than from the truck. They serve brisket, pulled pork, a combination of the two, and smoked turkey on a fresh Rotella's roll. Sandwiches are $5-7 each. Serve yourself handmade sauces include a sweet, a tangy, a hot and an "Alabama white" that I've never seen before. After trying a few, my personal favorite is the turkey sandwich with the white sauce at the recommendation of the server. BBQ Mac & Cheese is their side specialty. It is pretty good but rather oily so I've opted for the small on the occasions I've ordered it. They are available for catering and private events.

Update: 402 BBQ is now in Maloney Irish Pub's kitchen as well as in their mobile food truck. Bringing BBQ to an Irish Pub may be unique, but I could eat their Mac & Cheese all night long while drinking my favorite beers now. I can't wait to see them expand their menu here, as it was just their Pulled Pork, Brisket, or Turkey sandwiches... I hear there will be or isles in the future, once they figure thus arrangement out...

I've had the opportunity to try Porky Butts a couple of different ways. My family and I decided to…read moredo dinner one night so we all met up at Porky Butts. Their menu is vast and full of variety and I felt myself feeling nervous attempting to decide. Luckily, my sister and brother in law had the idea of ordering several items on one of their platters. I thought this was the perfect way to feed 6 people. I believe we got a few other things along with it, like the potato salad, an order of just burnt ends and an extra order of corn bread. There was something for everyone! We got to try their BBQ chicken and turkey as well as some pulled pork and ribs. I was happily impressed. I also loved how clean the restaurant and bathrooms were. There was ample staff around to bring out the meals, pick up some plates that were empty, and refill waters. Just recently, my workplace catered Porky Butts BBQ for our meal for inventory. They brought all the food, and napkin dispenser, utensils, and plates along with enough staff to set up and serve for 4 hours. The staff were genuinely kind, polite, and professional. Greeting each employee as they came into the breakroom and were excited to serve us. It was such a delight. The food was just as delicious as when I tried it in the restaurant. We got to choose from beans, corn bread, pulled pork, sliced BBQ chicken, and mac and cheese. They had buns available if you wanted to eat the pork or chicken as a sandwich and several different BBQ sauces to add on if you chose. They also had butter and honey packets for the bread. Just like my visit at the restaurant I was impressed and so full by the time I finished my meal. Porky Butts is a proven winner!! I'd definitely visit their restaurant again soon and if I need anything catered, I'll absolutely think about Porky Butts!
