Swine Dining was highly recommended to us and it met all our expectations. We shared a pound of All In The Pool (pork, brisket, sausage mixed together) and had plenty to take home for another meal. For sides, we had Cream Cheese Corn, which includes jalapeño (just spicy enough) and Apple Crisp.

Mixed feelings for my first time eating at Swine Dwining. Things were just so so.. not terrible but definitely not great. Major issue I had was with the brisket, it's a up charge but literally every piece they gave me half of it was pure fat. My dogs got to enjoy it but I paid for my meal, not there's. The brisket I could eat was pretty good. I just was disappointed at the huge chunks of fat that literally was half of every price. The sausage was pretty good, and I do like the mild sauce. A lot of places mess up barbecue sauce and I thought the mild was tasty. For sides I got the baked beans, and brisket mac. The baked beans were WAY too sweet. I don't think I've ever had that complaint about beans before, but they were so sweet I didn't even want to eat them. They desperately need something savory or less sweetness added. It's too much. The brisket mac was okay but it also was not seasoned, it was begging for simple salt and pepper. I tried the apple crisp for dessert and it was good, a bit dry but it was delivery and probably had been sitting awhile. Overall, not the best barbecue I've ever had and I likely wouldn't come back, but it wasn't the worst either. For me, porky butts remains my number one in Omaha for barbecue.

My husband and I have been visiting Swine Dining for years now (as it's very close to our house). It's a pretty small menu of meat and sides, but if you find something you like there, you will be hooked! The interior is pretty basic with concrete-like floor, brick red colored walls, and a handful of wood/black metal tables and chairs. The menu is on posters up on the wall as you walk in, and you order at the front and they bring your food out to your table. You can't go wrong with any meat here, so just choose what sounds good to you. I get the "All in the Pool" sandwich, which is a combination of pulled pork, beef brisket, and smoked sausage. Their high quality meats taste good all together, and especially with the sauces they provide on each table. I like the Mild BBQ, but if you're a heat person, you can get the hotter one. On a whim, I once ordered the Brisket Sandwich, and it did not hold up to the deliciousness of the All in the Pool version, but it was an okay second-place. We have also ordered the ribs before when they were available, and they literally fall right off the bone. You won't need a knife to hack at it, just a fork to pick the pieces off your plate. My kind of ribs! I'm a big believer that the drink you have with a meal can make or break the flavor palette. I mean McDonald's Coke, Chipotle Pibb, and at Swine Dining - it's their Strawberry Fanta! It goes so well with their food, you absolutely have to get it if you're a soda drinker (or skip it and have water, but you will be missing out!) The sides are also choice, with my favorites being the corn, beans, and mac and cheese: -Smoked Mac and Cheese: Cheddar, creamy, and smokiness added in there with perfect seasoning? Yum! If you're a mac and cheese lover, definitely give Swine Dining's version a try. -Cream Cheese (Jalapeño) Corn: This isn't always on their menu, so if it is definitely grab it! It has a little kick with the jalapeño, but the cream cheese cools it off a bit and makes it delicious. -Smoked Beans: I am a big baked bean lover, and these are great. The beans themselves are a little smoky, but there's a sweet touch because they add slices of cinnamon apples to the mixture. So tasty! And they have a few desserts to pick from too, if you're wanting a sweet treat after all that meat. We've had the Bread Pudding and the Apple Crisp. -Bread Pudding: This tastes more like a coffee cake than a bread pudding. I'm not complaining because I love coffee cake, but was expecting more of a bread pudding style. -Apple Crisp: My husbands favorite thing is apple, so he has had this a few times and is a fan. It's kind of a crumble of oatmeal like pie bits mixed in with sweet cinnamony baked apples. I'd say Swine Dining is a good choice for BBQ in Omaha, and it definitely will not break the bank. I prefer them over a lot of other big BBQ names in the city.

I grew up eating swine dining in old town Bellevue so I was hoping the food was be just as good here and it didn't disappoint. We got their Cajun fries and the all in one sandwich. Their BBQ sauce still hits after all these years and the food came out pretty fast. I will be back it's a very casual atmosphere and the food was good!

Great bbq! Great sauces! You walk in the entrance and look at the tv menus on the wall. It's not a huge menu, but it's still hard to choose because everything sounds amazing. You can't go wrong with a couple meat plate or some ribs. Every single side is amazing!! The beans are sweet and contain some apples. The slaw is creamy. I loved the apple crisp as a great little dessert. They have two bbq sauces at the table- mild and hot. I loved both. The hot isn't too spicy and was great on everything.

Oh how I have missed good barbecue. Texas bbq, the gold standard, is everything. Since moving to Omaha I have been on a constant search for damn good barbecue. Swine dining was the next stop in my search. This was a to-go order so will only speak on the food. I started eating and I couldn't stop. I DEMOLISHED this all! Every bite was just pure goodness. The brisket was really good although next time I'll have to remember to ask for fattier cuts. The sauces complemented every bit of this meal quite nicely. The beans. . The potato salad. Even better! It was giving. Creamy, and full of flavor! I will continue on my journey to find the best barbecue in Omaha. This will be a repeat stop for sure.

I ordered a one meat plate consisting of All In The Pool, cajan seasoned fries, and Apple Crisp!!

If I could lick the tray, hands down I would. I was lucky enough to share plates with my family. Everything was amazing. I haven't had any bbq in Omaha yet but boy oh boy this is AMAZING. Everything was seasoned to perfection and I'm not even sure I could pick one item to be my favorite. The time it took us to order to when our food arrived was very quick and the food was all delicious. It was a quiet Tuesday evening, but it seemed to have quite a few people ordering take out. I had heard good things about this place and I'm sad I didn't go sooner!! Make your tastebuds happy and go to swine dining!!

I had an AMAZING sandwich the other day. Jalapeño popper. Delicious smoky tender beef mixed with cream cheese and jalapeños. Was spicier than I expected, at some places "jalapeño" is almost synonymous with "mild". This sandwich had a substantial kick to it, but the flavor of the meat wasn't hidden by it. They also give you a little dish (if you ask) of pickle chips, diced onions, and candied jalapeños. Definitely get this. I took a picture when I first got my food, and I'm almost embarrassed to post it because it makes the sandwich look boring - and the sandwich is definitely not boring! But it does show the pickles etc. The only bad thing that I have to say about the sandwich is that it's a "special" item and is not available every day. I honestly think I will contact the company to say how much I loved it. My family was happy with their meals too, but I was so focused on this delicious sandwich that I didn't really make note of what they had. Service was good, restaurant was clean. I truly hate the way the menu board changes when I'm trying to look at it but that seems to be the thing at a lot of places now.

Very casual place with good bbq and good prices. I was not sure what to expect but it truly surprised me! Fast service and clean spot. There is enough parking for everyone and their menu is very extensive. The pool sandwich and all the meat were AMAZING. However, the Mac and Cheese was smoky and I did not enjoy that. We also got the baked beans which were pretty good.

2 meat combo. Brisket was overly chewy and fatty.
    Chad W.

First time here at swine dining. Had a 2 meat combo. My sides were cole slaw and corn. I liked both my sides. Now for meat I got brisket and Sausage. The sausage is a colossal size smoked kielbasa. The brisket was NOT good! So fatty! And I'm not talking about the good brisket fat that melts. The meat was so chewy because of the fat. It was like stretchy and weird. Oh well win some and you lose some.

Swine dining is a good place for local BBQ. Walking in, you can already smell the smokiness of the meats, but it's not overbearing. Good quality meats. The Mac and cheese has a really nice Smokey taste which was a nice surprise trying it out for the first time. I know it matters to some, but not all; they stock Coca Cola products! Parking is ample, but also shares a parking lot with the tire shop next door. Service is nice and pretty typical of a BBQ spot; you order at the counter and the food is brought out to you.

Their menu is vast and full of variety and I felt myself feeling nervous attempting to decide. Luckily, my sister and brother in law had the idea of ordering several items on one of their platters. I thought this was the perfect way to feed 6 people. I believe we got a few other things along with it, like the potato salad, an order of just burnt ends and an extra order of corn bread. There was something for everyone! We got to try their BBQ chicken and turkey as well as some pulled pork and ribs. I was happily impressed. I also loved how clean the restaurant and bathrooms were. There was ample staff around to bring out the meals, pick up some plates that were empty, and refill waters. Just recently, my workplace catered Porky Butts BBQ for our meal for inventory. They brought all the food, and napkin dispenser, utensils, and plates along with enough staff to set up and serve for 4 hours. The staff were genuinely kind, polite, and professional. Greeting each employee as they came into the breakroom and were excited to serve us. It was such a delight. The food was just as delicious as when I tried it in the restaurant. We got to choose from beans, corn bread, pulled pork, sliced BBQ chicken, and mac and cheese. They had buns available if you wanted to eat the pork or chicken as a sandwich and several different BBQ sauces to add on if you chose. They also had butter and honey packets for the bread. Just like my visit at the restaurant I was impressed and so full by the time I finished my meal. Porky Butts is a proven winner!! I'd definitely visit their restaurant again soon and if I need anything catered, I'll absolutely think about Porky Butts!

I headed to Porky Butts after reading rave reviews. I bought the Family Platter, said to feed 2-3. I can see that. It seems like a lot of food. A half-rack of ribs is plenty for a small family to try when it comes with 1/3 lb. each of two more meats. My go-to is pulled pork, and just to be different, I made this dinner a pork-a-pallooza by choosing smoked ham as the second meat. The ribs are really good -- the meat comes off the bone easily and has great flavor. The pulled pork was disappointing, though. It seemed really wet, and not from sauce. Like overcooked, too much steam, maybe? Who know. But the ham! OMG, the surprise entry in this extravaganza was soooo delicious! Not too smoky, not overly salty, tender and, dare I say, worthy of being a main selection when I come back! Two large containers of sides were both great. The beans were saucy, smoky, and filled with threads of, I dont know, brisket? The mac and cheese was flavorful and very creamy. I didnt want to wait for dinner after my first taste test! Cornbread is moist and delicious and that's before any butter or honey. Folks behind the counter were quick and friendly (it was a to-go order). And even at 2 in the afternoon tables were populated and carryout was hopping. As for carryout, I wonder why the sauce containers are so tiny. Be loud -- be proud, and use less plastic with a single container that hold three of those tiny ones. And that pulled pork, it made a good sandwich, but it wasnt A+ I will be back though. The variety of sides looks amazing and the sandwiches were very enticing!
