THIS PLACE IS BBQ HEAVEN. I'm not sure how this place hasn't been featured on TV yet. It's that good. I stopped in on a Saturday evening. The parking lot was full and I knew I was in the right place. The line was out the door however it didn't take long to place my order. I ordered a rib plate with fried brussel sprouts and Elotes street corn. The ribs were perfection. They're tender but not meat falling off the bone overcooked tender. The ribs need no sauce, they stand on their own but the sauce is perfect too. It's rare to find good ribs and good sauce. While we were eating the owner came over and pulled up a chair and sat and talked with us for about 5 minutes. I can tell he takes pride in his restaurant, his food, and his staff to serve the best BBQ possible. They do not disappoint. My only recommendation is to try this place before it gets featured on Food Network. This place is a gem and soon EVERYBODY will know. read more

Good bbq. The bbq has a great Smoky favor. The ribs and the brisket are delicious. The fried Brussel sprouts are our favorites.

Best bbq on earth. This coming from a normally non bbq eater. Husband is the one who likes bbq. We could eat this place every day. Meat is all fabulous. I like the ribs the best. The sliced brisket is amazing. I really love it next day stuffed into enchilada or quesadillas. You will have leftovers. Plan on them. So, so good. The sides though freaking amazing. My favorite is the baked beans. Loaded with meat and beans. Sweet and spicy. The fried Brussel sprouts will make a grown woman cry. Trust me. It's not pretty when I eat here. I seriously could cry. The slaw is ok. I prefer a more mayo like slaw but it's good for a fresh option. The fries are heaven sent. And I'm not a fry eater either. It must be the seasoning on them. Amazing. Dip in the bbq sauce. You are welcome. The meatloaf is heavenly. Try it. It's soft and smokey, a tad bit spicy and so tasty. I love this place. The employees have always been spectacular and kind and they really appreciate their customers. Yes, no masks. Know what? They have a sign on the door. Don't like it, don't go. It's that easy. I have a severely immune compromised child and I myself am also immune compromised. I have no worry eating here which says a lot because, as my husband would agree, I am freakish about where I will eat inside. This is one of a select few. In fact it's one of the cleanest establishments I have ever been in. Oh and you will be stuffed like a big old pig at the fair when you leave, but order a brownie to go. We didn't expect it to be as good as it was. Considering we don't eat another meal on the evenings we eat 407 because we can't move, the brownie is a good midnight snack. It is a turtle-y, caramel-y, nutty confection of a sinful nature. Just get it. Trust you really won't care about calories here. They. Don't. Count. Bryan and his crew are meticulous in their execution and very creative (think bbq meatloaf, bologna and brisket twinkies). To look at this place you know your going to get some great barbecue. That's for sure. It was a great meal all accept the way I was treated by the manager and the head chef. Now I am not a pulled pork chef but I do know how it should be cooked southern style. I was not thrilled at all with the texture of my pulled pork. I ordered a three meat combo. My mouth was watering as I watched them hand out food as I waited in line. I needed to make a rest room stop but opted to put my order in then go wash up for my dinner. I ordered sliced brisket and asked if my second meat could also be the brisket. Sorry. That's an up charge of $2.00. Now granted this three meat meat with a drink is well over $30.00. Could i have two servings of pulled pork I asked. Sure the young lady at the counter replied. Washed up and returned for my food. My name was called and I went to retrieve my dinner I was hesitant once I looked at the pulled pork. It looked like dried shredded chicken jerky. Oh well I thought I am starving it probably taste better than it looks. I opted to sit outside in the outdoor area that isn't really that nice. But I wanted to do some emails and it was quiet. When I dove in to my meal, I tried the brisket first. It was very good. Then I took a bite of the pulled pork and had to spit it out. It was dry, tough, and highly seasoned. It had a ton of the salty seasoning. I like my pulled pork savory moist and be able to taste the pork. I dont really like chicken after raising them for years and seeing they can subside on their own feces or each other. I pushed aside and picked at the coleslaw that has a vinegar base. And that too was disappointing to me. The pinto beans were Also loaded with spices. Good gosh I thought I will go in and ask if the pork could be replaced at least. I had taken one bite! I would not feed it to my dogs for fear they would have diarrhea for a week. I asked to talk to the manager. Ok...and they went to get her. I felt from the moment they said "There's a customer complaining about the pulled pork she was ready to set me straight. The answer would be a big fat No. i explained my situation. She listened then said we don't return things based on your preference. That pork is perfectly fine. I looked at her like "Do what!" She went on to say that they do not return food if someone doesn't like it and that I was the first person ever to complain. That seems kinda strange I thought...if I'm the first then you must not have much business. She then called the head cook over. He did had an irritated look on his face when she told him I did not like the pulled pork. The look was one like I had just said something bad about his first born. There is nothing wrong with that pork. Do you want me to give you more. What! Listen to me. I did not eat it. Would not eat it. And I'd like either my money for that meat. Or some other meat please. No. We don't do that. There's nothing wrong with that pulled pork. I said it's spicy. He said there's nothing on it. I pulled it apart showing him it was had seasoning and was seasoned so much it looked Cajun. The manager and him stood there and looked at me like I was from the moon. I said your kidding...you are not going to try to make me happy. Nope. Not our problem. Ok I said May I all your names and the owners name. Here's our names and the email info is on the menu. It was but so small it would take a magnifying glass to locate. It did not even have their name on it. As I left I told them I would never be back and I would Yelp this great service asap. Good...don't ever come back. And go ahead and Yelp. So here it is. Hope the owner sees this and can put into policy an option if you get your food and your not happy. Good gosh...even McDonald's will give you something to make you have a happy experience. Mine sucked. And I wont even turn my head that way when going down 407. And count the days until they go broke. And all because of a manager and a cook. A restaurant that has great food is only as good as the management and policy's. Ask for a sample of what your ordering before you waste your money. It only takes one bad apple at the bottom of the barrel to ruin all the rest. Now...to find some pulled pork is my goal today. To the owner....I am not a troll. Have my receipt to prove it. Your food is awesome. Even if the pulled pork is not what I like. My complaint sir...you need to put cameras in and watch your manager and cook tell the customer. Don't come back....I wont spread my story. But surely there have been others that had this experience...I'm actually a very kind tolerant person. Sorry to leave this review. However, I won't be returning after reading the owner's responses to customers expressing genuine concern about mask usage (or lack thereof). I think this might be the best BBQ that I have had. We are moving across the street from the old location so I am a little disappointed that it moved to the other side of the freeway. :( now I have to wait 5 minutes longer to get the yum yum. Awesome! Ya gotta go! I took the family out here on a recommendation from a friend and I'm so glad I did! The staff is super sweet, and very accommodating. I ordered ribs, sliced brisket, and hickory smoked sausage. The ribs were perfect. Smokey slightly spicy, perfect rub. Not fall-off-the bone, but not far from it. And not greasy! The brisket had a 1/4" bark, pink for another 1/4" and fork tender. The smoked sausage was perfect also. My wife had the smoked 1/2 chicken. Even the breast was juicy! OMG the roasted/smoked corn on the cob? I don't usually like corn on the cob but this stuff was the BOMB! To further torment myself I ordered the banana pudding. Very worth the over-stuffing. It's your typical plywood floor, exposed 2x4, open rafters, small barn type construction and the food is just as country as the building. We WILL be back. Heard good things from a few friends that know I am a BBQ fan. And I am always looking to try a new BBQ place every chance I get. Pulling up it looks like a great Saturday bbq place. Large covered patio seating that just feels like a place that you would love to have some good bbq, a beer, and watch a football game on a cool fall day. Then we walk into the restaurant part and it was actually what you want. In regards to the food. It was good. The brisket seasoning was a spotty. Meaning I had one bite of the brisket and it was a salt lick, where the rest of the flavor was spot on. It wasn't very warm, which I don't expect it to be hot, but was a little less than what I would expect. It was just slightly dry. Not to complain just didn't wow me like I was hoping. It's just small little things that added on top of each other. When walking up, I was talking with my wife and saying I would love to get 1/4 of a few different items because most bbq places I have tried have one or two things that are amazing and the rest are good so getting a mix would help me try out what is there "great" item. But I told my wife some places are "we don't do less than 1/2 lb" kind of places. This is one of this places. Which is a bummer because this was probably their one shot to wow me, and they didn't. This place is fantastic and definitely competes with the DFW big boys in quality. The brisket had an awesome bark, good smoke ring, and perfect texture. We got a smoked Turkey breast for Thanksgiving. It came with simple reheating instructions. As my wife likes to say it was the bomb.com. The Smokey flavor was perfect and every bite was delicious and juicy. We usually get smoked turkeys from Greenberg in Tyler. This was better and much less hassle (no carving the Turkey).
