Pubs, as opposed to bars, have long been known as places to tip back a drink and enjoy some high quality food. Competition is fierce, with a lot of good options, which is great for the customer. Joey B's definitely belongs in that company: the alcohol options are many, prices are reasonable, TVs are everywhere you look, and the food is very good. My wife ordered the grilled chicken sandwich, which she does just about everywhere. It definitely met her approval (not bad, coming from a chicken sandwich "expert"). The seasoning is good, the chicken is perfectly cooked, and the fries are great. While my wife stuck with her old standby, I went on a little adventure. Why does a pub have gyros on the menu? I had to find out. Eating establishments sometimes stray out of their comfort zone to try to appeal to more people, and the results are usually not good. So, how was the gyro? IT WAS GREAT! Seriously, this is one of the best gyros I've ever had anywhere. The pita was thick and tasted like it was freshly baked. There was a substantial amount of flavorful meat (you can also get a chicken gyro). And, the tzatziki sauce was good (it needed more dill, but I can say that about many Greek restaurants). I got sweet potato fries on the side, which were earthy and tasty without any real seasoning. Unfortunately, Joey B's isn't in a great spot, at the end of a strip mall, off a busy road (Van Dyke). I only found it because of Yelp...I would have driven right by and never known there was a restaurant there. But, the locals seem to know they have a good thing going here. The mid-afternoon crowd was decent, which is encouraging. But, the bartender had to also wait on all the tables, which led to spotty service. I do plan to return here, at least in part because I want to be able to say that one of the best gyros in the area isn't in Greektown: it's right here, in Sterling Heights. read more

The staff was very friendly but there were no customers at all the entire time we were there. Bummer! read more

We totally like the vibe of this place. Only problem? It was completely dead! There was only one other customer there besides us. I was surprised by this because it was a pretty fun place. Conveniently located in a strip mall just south of Utica road. They had a fully stocked bar and a decent beer selection. The food was really good too. There was a huge outdoor patio. The service was good, I have no complaints. There is a nice stage too so I'm sure pre COVID this place had a slot to offer. Joey B's is a fun place. I guess it has been totally redone from what the previous place looked like. The servers are very helpful with suggestions on the menu and they are very attentive as well. We have been here twice in the last week or so and both times the food was delicious. The burgers are big and juicy, the fries are crispy, and the salads are huge. We tried the Cepavi a Mediterranean dish that was outstanding. During happy hour all their tap beer is $3.00 a glass. Great food and affordable as well. read more

This low-key is the most corrupt unfair place. We came for Halloween party at 10:00 pm and waited till 1:00 to get in and nobody let us in. Tried this place for a quick dinner on the way home, the food was typical for a normal sports bar and there were a lot of TV's visible from every table. The service was average. My complaint with Joey B's is with their COVID compliance. Not a single worker in the entire establishment was wearing a mask, nor were any of the kitchen staff who were cooking food which we could see from our table. Steak was a good size, tender but had no flavor like no seasonings whatsoever and 1/3 of it was fat and/or grizzle. Worse part is and I am certain like every other place in the state of Michigan, the prices on their website menu, as well as any other menu are ridiculously wrong! At the restaurant on the paper menus the prices are a LOT HIGHER! For two examples, my steak online says $16.00 on the paper menu was $26.00! Online they say they have $20.00 bottles of wine; on the paper menus the cheapest bottle of wine was $38.00! Service was fair, one waitress in the entire restaurant at 8:00 pm on a Friday night if that tells you anything and not very many things included in their "Happy Hour" pricing unless you only drink draft beers! More or less appears to be a barely hanging on, kids hang out especially with the music loaded with bass that you couldn't watch one of the sports channels on the many TV's if you wanted to let alone have a conversation! Sorry, sick and tired of restaurants blaming COVID for their online menu's prices being so much lower than they actually are and those are the cheapest and easiest to correct! What a transformation from the previous 2 bars in the same building. Extremely clean, the servers went out of their way to introduce themselves by name and took the time to go over the simple but shockingly tasty menu options. I've been to plenty of bars/public houses and they all seem to feel the same and the food tasted the same. I had the grilled chicken with fries. My only regret was adding Greek to the sandwich, not that it was bad(actually really good) but the chicken itself had enough flavor without it. This was our first visit here based on previous reviews. Jordan, the bartender and our server, was extremely welcoming and friendly. We arrived during happy hour and had the sliders and cocktails. The sliders were delicious and my husband had the Philly steak which he said was very good. Happy hour runs until 7 which includes $3 draft beer and $5 pizza, flatbreads, and sliders, and $5 wine deals. Apparently they are also open for lunch. It's close to our house.
