New day, new deal? The bison burger at the 49r just added some new Schwag. Besides the usual delicious, sides this bad boy adds bleu cheese! Mmmm mmmm yes! Follow that up with a desert! BAM!

    Vodka tonic, cheers!

We found a hidden gem in Acton! The food was absolutely delicious and the customer service was amazing! The whole place had such a great vibe even the customers were super friendly! We'll definitely be back!

It had been several years since I had been to the 49'r. It is being run by a husband & wife team who are doing their best to make it work. It's definitely a locals place. The place was fairly empty and it took a while to get service. Which was ok. They have a full bar. My wife ordered a mixed drink and I went for beer on tap. Both were good. The menu hasn't changed in years and I ordered what I was familiar with. The butter burger is a favorite of mine and I decided to try another one. The burger was good and had a bunch of flavor. And although my bun was toasted, it was cold. I ordered it medium and it was closer to rare. Which was fine for me as I hate over cooked hamburgers. I remembered their onions rings from the past were fantastic, so I replaced my fries with onion rings. The rings were fantastic and huge. They did not disappoint. My wife ordered the spicy bbq chicken sandwich. The chicken on the sandwich was a bit tough, and the bun was cold. but otherwise the sandwich was good. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable, although some of the tables are small if you have more than 2 people. Also the temperature inside the restaurant was a bit cool. Overall a nice meal and I will probably go back.

    Here's the vibe.

Found this gem as a good lunch spot on the way to Las Vegas. Food and service were excellent. The ambience is certainly old western bar. Friendly waitress Jessie took care of us, and the owner Larry sat for a spell. Italian wedding soup and we split a burger. Biggest onion ring I've ever seen! Thank you for ensuring that you have authentic food and a welcoming atmosphere.

What a delightful surprise. We were served by Cecelia - who is a delight and just full of knowledge about the community. Although rustic, it is clean and comfy. The menu is pretty great - they can accommodate for vegetarian and vegan diets and they cater. But we were craving burgers - and these were good! I had the butter burger and the Hubbs had the bison burger. My side salad with house made poppy seed dressing was really good. The burgers were cooked perfectly to order and the brioche buns were soft and sturdy. The fries were perfectly extra-crispy. We took a bread pudding to go. Really a highlight stop.

Very cool place to check out! What a nice bartender, the second we walked in, everyone was just really nice bartender and patrons alike. Very welcoming. The atmosphere is dark and quiet in the bar area, at least when we went there, which I prefer.

There was plenty of parking in this lot. The entrance is located through their patio, which can be a bit counter intuitive. We came at opening and the restaurant got really busy during our time there. Initially we were looking at the sandwiches because it was lunch time, but then we were going to a wedding that night so we decided to eat something more filling since the ceremony and speeches always delay the eating. All entrees here are served with black beans and rice or congri, and 3 fried plantains. My boyfriend had the Ropa Vieja ($28) with the congri and I had the Lechon Asado ($25) with the rice and beans. Our food came out pretty fast after we ordered. My boyfriend's Ropa Vieja is a Cuban braised beef. The congri is basically a mix of the rice and beans. This dish was super tasty and the shredded beef was so tender with the bell peppers and onions. I can really taste the red wine and tomato sauce in the base. I took a few bites but in general I preferred my dish more, and vis versa he enjoyed his dish more. My lechon asado is a roasted pork that is super super tenderrrrrr. It was so sweet with the grilled onions and it had the perfect amount of fattiness without being over bearing. SO GOOD! Love the plaintains too. I'm glad I got the rice and beans option because I would have gotten too full too quick with the congri. I barely touched my beans and only got through half of my rice. Both dishes came with this super tasty garlic butter sauce that I poured on my rice and made it even tastier. It was so good. One thing I didn't enjoy about the experience was the flies attacking us and our food. Since the door is open and connected to their outdoor space, it leaves the opportunities for flies to come in. We had to play defense with the flies the whole time. The service here is a little slow. Especially when I was trying to get back on the road I wasn't feeling too patient. I waived down multiple staff members too. Also I got hit with an undisclosed 3% surcharge for using my credit card. I only found out after I got the receipt. I would have paid in cash if I knew. *dislike* LOVE LOVE LOVE the food. Might be the best Cuban food I've ever had... and I've been to Florida where there was a lot of Cuban spots. Room for improvement with service, flies prevention, and the disclosure of the credit card fee.

The food quality is spectacular! I always get the Baracoa Cubano sandwich and it never disappoints. The ingredients are fresh and organic with each dish I've ordered. Since I have allergies to ingredients used to preserve frozen food, it's always been so hard finding a restaurant with a menu that doesn't cause me issues--and Baracoa has never compromised with their ingredients! The organic quality of their food is something you'll taste on your first bite. And finally--the service is impeccable and I have yet to see such excellent hospitality at any restaurant I've visited, even in Los Angeles! The waiters are always kind, attentive, and energetic with their behavior and service. It's very easy to tell they love the work they do and it shows in their work ethic. In addition to that, the managers are always making sure we're having an excellent night and have transformed it to a level of service we've never seen! My parents and I went a week ago and talked to Daniel the Manager about how much we missed a Piña Colada from a closed restaurant which would make it in the pineapple itself--and he said if we promised to be there in a week he's make it himself. We came on Friday, and the joy that my family felt was palpable when Daniel came out with the drinks we've wished for years now since that restaurant closed! Honestly, I've never heard of someone caring for their guests so much to do that--truly everyone should visit this establishment and experience true fine dining. I don't think I'll ever eat anywhere else for a special occasion ever again.

From the moment we sat down, the staff was attentive without hovering, quick to accommodate, and genuinely welcoming. Lovely spot for drinks and dinner in Santa Clarita…read more I was in the area running errands and decided to grab dinner nearby on a Thusday evening around 6:30 pm. I found this place on Yelp and dropped by for dinner. My party of 2 was seated immediately. Personally I thought the menus were hard to read. The gray lines in the background were quite dark and clashed with the actual menu items. My suggestion to the restaurant would be to reprint the menus with lighter background. They have an extensive cocktail menu with a lot of gin-based drinks. They also have good selection of wine and NA drinks as well, including some mocktails. I got the I'm Driving mocktail ($13), which I really liked. It had good passion fruit flavor without being too sour. Felt like a really nice tropical juice. My friend really liked his drink Bramblin' Man ($17), which had strong notes of bourbon and blackberry. I wasn't super hungry, but the braised short rib looked amazing so I got that for $43. It was very tender, but I personally found it bland especially on the inside. I asked for additional sauce so I could drench each bite in the sauce. My favorite part of the plate was surprisingly the potato croquette, which was perfectly crispy and well flavored. My friend got the chicken club ($23), which he enjoyed. I stole a bunch of his seasoned fries since they were so good. I would've loved to get dessert but was too stuffed. Next time!

Let's check off the key things on the list:…read more Service 5 - due to both the excellent service provided by Jackie, other wait staff, and very good bar staff. Food 3-5 - we've had mixed experiences, but mostly very good. There aren't any off menu requests accepted. One cannot replace ingredients. One can only remove specific items from a menu choice. Don't even ask. Apparently the chef's policy is absolute. Ambiance 4-5 nicely decorated and designed. Has a high end feel that is unusual for the AV. So why the 3 stars? One single experience. My wife asked the server (Jackie) if it would be possible to get a side of sauteed mushrooms. She said probably not as it's not permitted by the chef. We asked to speak to the manager to express our disappointment. When Jake showed up, before we uttered a word, he stated that it's just something they don't do, so no to our request. Then he turned and walked away. There was no dialogue. It was a one way conversation. In essence, we and our request were dismissed. The experience was incredibly off-putting. It was unnecessary to respond to a patron's request in that manner. Totally unacceptable. I write this review to memorialize the experience for others, because it won't matter to the owner/chef/management. It seems, judging by their total lack of response to other reviews, good or bad, that it really doesn't. Typical dinners we've had run a tab of $150-200 (including tip). We have visited 1-2 times a month for the past two years. We have brought friends and family on several occasions, generating additional per-visit revenue for the restaurant. Again, this doesn't seem to matter. So, sadly, we're going to have to take a leave of this place. Too bad really.
