MAXDONS! 100% consistent 100% of the time. The service is always exceptional. (Please tip accordingly, the girls bust their booties keeping everyone happy) The quality of the steak is exceptional and the cook is always perfect. My husband and I always order medium rare and we have never been disappointed. Jalapeño mac n cheese - 10/10 recommend you try it! Salad bar is always fresh and well stocked. The place has the coolest decor and the best vibe. I've seen people dressed up for a date night as well as people in shorts (me) and both fit the vibe of Maxdons. Service was slow , food came out slow , ribeye was good , garlic, mashed potatoes, terrible frozen vegetables terrible, garlic bread was all right then we asked for the check twice by the waitress, but she went about other things. Luckily, the bartender got a check for the third time if you want a two hour lunch dinner this is the place I won't be back. Good luck. I gave this place another try since I do live a few blocks down. I got hosted by a lady ive never seen before, she was great! Super sweet and kept checking on my friend & I. I also notice a worker from coaches now works here! I seen her on a different day I came, she's very very sweet. Love the new workers I met. I will say, I still havnt tried any food just YET! I only get drinks here. They have all been SO DELICIOUS! read more

Living in the neighborhood behind Maxdon's I always used to like to go here. I haven't been there in years because the lack of management experience get a new manager. You'll get back to the customers once have someone qualified! You can't employ people just because they know somebody you have to employ them because they have the adequate ability to execute and maintain the role. Otherwise, your business is at their demise. read more

So the restaurant has a cool vibe. It's very old-school feeling and dated but in a good way, even though it had a retro vibe it was clean. It's very dark red leather booths wood paneling seemed like the Type Pl., Lynyrd Skynyrd would've played at in the 70s. Appetizer and drink prices are a bargain service was good and I'm surprised they weren't very busy for the price, but it was Christmas week so maybe it's normally busier. We both had the filet mignon dinner which comes with an old-school salad bar, one side a cup of clam chowder and garlic bread salad bar was fun as it's been a while since I've had one. I had the garlic mashed potatoes for aside and they were seasoned perfectly. I felt my filet mignon could've had a bit more seasoning, but that's no big deal as all I had to do is add salt. My girlfriend said her fillet was seasoned well. Both were extremely tender and I will say the sign is right. This is the best steak in town so next time I'm in the mood for filet mignon I will be back. read more

They do a great job. The steaks are high quality and honestly the happy hour can't be beat. Great local crowd. Very comfortable booths as well as long tables for large groups. Lovely outdoor patio. Ice cold salad bar. Good variety in the menu. Very good parking conveniently off the freeway. Was in town for a birthday stopped by to grab a bite. As someone who's worked in a restaurant, I found it so odd that the bartender was the host, server, and cooked the meals. Ten table next to us ordered a steak. The steaks were cooked as she ran the rest of the kitchen. No hat, and I didn't see her wash her hands while she cooked the steaks and ran the bar. I didn't see any sanitizing between touching the raw meat, and other things she had her hands on. We were sat but once we saw what was going on we had to leave. read more

Only been here twice. Food is very good. However, they just give you a bill amount when you go to pay, instead of a bill with the items on it. I don't even know if I got someone else's. The end amount always sounds a bit steep and shady. Maybe I'm just the new kid getting screwed over. It took me forever, like almost an hour, to flag down the bartender for my second drink, and I was sitting at the bar! However, I tried to tell the bartender to give me one quarter back (Aldi shopping) and keep the change. I gave her a 20 on a $15 drink. She only heard the "keep the change" part. She was awfully quick at collecting that money, though! read more

They tried to make it memorable. They just need to try harder otherwise it's a sinking ship. It looks nice from the outside, now make it happen on the inside people. Still a regular stop for me! I find myself dreaming of the Veggie Flatbread. This place has a totally elevated menu for a dive bar atmosphere, the sign says best steaks in town and they live up to it! Staff has changed and it's nice to see some new faces. Do not go to this establishment if you are Black! Went here on Valentine's Day! They might has well had nooses and confederate flags hanging around! As soon as we walked in, the whole restaurant turned and stared at us! The waitress was rude and just threw her hands at us and told us to just sit anywhere! We go to sit down, and the whole bar kept turning around staring, the people eating couldn't even eat their food because they were so busy starting at us! Mind you we were two females! The wait staff was pleasant enough, but all the additional charges are out of hand! I had ran into this issue here, previously, as well as at the NEW Coach's just earlier today. We ordered one dozen wings. We asked for the six flats of the order to be "mild" and the six drums to be the spiciest they have (which is not spicy at all). We asked for them to be extra wet. My wife likes ranch with hers, while I like blue cheese. When the ticket is presented, there are up-charges for ALL FLATS and ALL DRUMS, a charge for the blue cheese, a charge for ordering the wings wet. Seriously?! First of all, I had spoken to a manager at this location previously about the up-charges for separating the flats and drums to different flavor profiles. The manager agreed that I should not be charged for this and removed those charges. In discussion with the manager at the NEW Coach's, earlier today, the same consensus was relayed. STOP CHARGING FOR THIS! Look, I could understand if I was ordering six or twelve wings and asking for all of them to be drums or flats. When one orders twelve wings, which is generally equal amounts of drums and flats, why am I attempting to be up-charged twice for having one sauce on all the flats in my order and another sauce on all the drums? Why are you charging me for another dipping sauce on an order of twelve wings? You give one dipping sauce for an order of six wings. You think one dipping sauce is compatible for an order of twelve? You charge me for asking for our wings extra wet? The only reason we ask for them that way is because the wings are nearly dry if you don't. And, the little dollop of sauce that came with the wings was hardly worthy of being called "wet". I had to ask for more sauce because there was not enough to even consider them being viewed as wet when they arrived to the table. This place is going downhill; quick, fast, and in a hurry since the transition to new ownership. Coach's used to be a place we could enjoy going to and count on their menu staples being available (if they weren't sold out!). The fried green beans were in high demand. So much so that they were sold out when we went, a few times. Their pretzels were also a huge hit! The new owners removed them from the menu. I know they have had numerous requests to bring them back, but they couldn't care less. The food has gone downhill, the wait staff is not as lively and personable as they used to be, the extra charges are ridiculous, and the new owners don't give a rat's a$$ about their customers; they only care about trying to make money (while removing a couple of the best selling items on the original Coach's menu). Make that make sense! Remove sell-out items when your only focus is about making money. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the waitress was halfway attentive. Good luck with your future, as you continue to lose previously loyal customers!

We sat at the very NFL Playoff bar, and our bartender got to us as soon as he could with a smile. The only regret was clearing one of our glasses away a little too quickly as it was my water I like to have alongside my adult beverage. Ambiance: A+. This place was hopping! People at the bar were extremely kind and offered to move over for us so we could sit together. The team spirit here was entertainment in itself! Dietitian Dorothy's tip: Definitely split the dishes here. Some of them (nachos, fries) are BIG enough for one person to eat for a week!

He was informative, patient and attentive for our first visit. The entire staff matched that energy and made it feel warm and welcoming. Virgil was the original person I spoke to and unfortunately wasn't there on the day of the event, but it still went well for me and my guess. I rented out the back patio holding approximately 200 guess. I had over a 80 plus a dog and no one sat on top of each other. There was plenty of room for everyone with a stage which I didn't use. My guess had a great time and the staff were very nice on that evening. I had food catered in so I didn't order anything there but I'm hearing the pizza's and salad's are great. I also had my own music which was ok for the venue since we were in our own area. There was a side gate leading to my private area for the caters to drop off the food along with guess who didn't want to use the main entrance. I will definitely use this venue again and again to host big parties such as that night and recommend it to others as well. Such an amazing time we all had!! The beer selection is truly fantastic, fitting every preference from ciders and IPAs to porters and stouts. My favorites are definitely the rum and bourbon barrel-aged choices, and The Gunny is a classic that you should try. They have a pizza place inside, and food trucks often stop by as well. If you plan on getting pizza, definitely order online ahead of time if you can, especially on busy nights--the wait can easily stretch past an hour otherwise. Whether or not you served, this brewery is open and welcoming to everyone, even on big celebration nights, like the recent 250th birthday of the Marine Corps, which was a great time. Highly recommend checking it out!
