The outdoor covered patio provides a much quieter, relaxing spot to enjoy a meal. The Food & DrinkThe menu is huge, offering everything from hearty salads and sandwiches to unique pizzas and pastas. Highlights: The popular olive tapenade makes a great starter, and the cilantro Caesar salad with blackened salmon is a flavorful favorite.Drinks: As a local brewery, they feature fantastic craft beers made right in Santa Clarita, like their popular IPAs and red ales. Downside: Some menu items feel a bit pricey for casual pub fare, and the indoor dining room can carry strong kitchen aromas on crowded nights. The ServiceService is typically quick and friendly, though you may face a short wait for a table during peak weekend hours because the spot is so popular. All in all I gave it 4 stars.

I realize their specialty isn't Mexican food but how difficult is it to make 2 tacos? No side of pico de gallo/salsa and no offer of guacamole so had to request once the meal arrived. You're drawn in by the familiar, comfortable design featuring mirrored signs with writing in Victorian style fonts that continue onto the menus. They have marble tables and counters, with comfortable chairs, and lots of light coming in through the windows. The staff is all smiles and very welcoming, happy to help you navigate the very interesting bill of fare, and making sure your cocktail is made exactly as you like. I was dining solo, so I sat at the bar, and James took excellent care of me from start to finish. I asked for a Bombay Sapphire Martini with Olives; James immediately offered regular or blue cheese-stuffed olives, and asked if I preferred the martini shaken or stirred. The drink that emerged was well-balanced, cold and very tasty. The menu is filled with all sorts of interesting choices. Some are familiar items like salads and fishes and hamburgers or cheesesteak sandwiches done in their way -- but my eye immediately went to a very unique starter: Duck Fat Potato Confit. Say what? As James explained, it is a whole potato that has been slow cooked in duck fat (confit, as we know) and served as the main attraction in the dish as one might similarly feature a duck leg or short rib. I had to order this, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding dishes I've eaten in a long time. The aforementioned, slow-cooked potato initially appears a bit like a whole boiled potato, but looks are deceiving. Because of the cooking method, the potato holds it's consistency and shape much more than a boiled or baked potato, cutting almost like a protein. It's solid but tender, and as it has absorbed quite a bit of flavor during the cooking, this potato is far tastier on its own than those other iterations. But you are NOT eating this potato unadorned. Oh no, this potato is dressed with caramelized onions, smoky bacon lardons, wild mushrooms and a rich, very flavorful demi-glace. All together, you've layers upon layers of flavor that make you ignore all distractions and really concentrate on the pleasure you're getting from your food. But that's not all... Perhaps the cleverest element of a dish composed entirely of clever elements is the Mornay Sauce. Snow white, and with enough of just the right cheese to add texture to the Bechemel without becoming too powerful, the sauce is plated on the bottom, with the potato resting atop it. Visually, this looks like mashed potatoes served underneath a protein, and it plays the same role texturally -- but because you wouldn't serve potatoes with a potato, the sauce is a lighter accompaniment, whose flavor marries perfectly with the more complex sauce coming from above, and you cannot help but marvel at this stroke of culinary magic. Just wow. I finished with a dessert of Key Lime Budino, which was rich and creamy with a serious hit of sour from the Key Lime. A nice and refreshing shift after the savory richness of my entree. How lucky are the people of Newhall and Santa Clarita that they have a restaurant making such interesting and excellent food? I come up at least once a month for a music event, and how lucky am I to have discovered this place to eat beforehand? And by the way: if you live in the San Fernando Valley, this place is really less than 30 minutes away (without traffic), so the next time you're thinking of going over the hill to a place in Beverly Hills or Santa Monica, you may want to head North instead. I promise you, The Old Town Junction will become your new favorite.

I heard they serve Bravery Brewing beer so I ordered the Rocktoberfest. Still one of my favs! I told Amber that I would be ordering a few items and will be needing to-go boxes to bring home to my Mom (sharing food is my love language). Here's what I ordered: -Pepper Jack Mac & Cheese bites with their homemade ranch -Ahi Tuna sliders -Cubano with homemade chips accompanied by their homemade pepper jack queso dip -Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding -Pepperoni pizza - to go The Mac & Cheese bites were crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside. The inside had a sharpness to it, I'm assuming from a cheese they used. They were even better dipped in their homemade ranch. Do not leave without trying it!!! Ahi Tuna sliders. You guys.. don't walk, RUN to try these! I think my eyes rolled back in my head when I took my first bite. The tuna was tender, the slaw was crunchy, creamy and citrusy with a slight sweetness. The bun was soft and slightly sweet as well, and the fact that it was toasted, added a nice texture. I'd eat these breakfast, lunch and dinner. And probably for dessert, don't judge me. The Cubano was fantastic! I'm hoping I heard Neil correctly but they marinate the pork in a homemade mojo sauce. That was incredible! The bread was nicely toasted, the ham was smoky, the fontina cheese added a nutty, buttery flavor along with the balance from the crunchy pickles and acidity from the mustard. And the homemade chips with the pepper Jack queso were amazing! The perfect crunch and crispness, salted well and dipped in the creamy queso that had a hint of spice. Oh lawd! Absolute happiness Neil Behrman, the chef, was kind enough to come out and introduce himself. I was lucky enough to have a conversation with him where we shared about our love of cooking, I got to hear about how became a chef, about his Italian grandmother, where he's worked, and how food feeds our soul. I did try one bite from the chocolate croissant bread pudding and oh man, the ooey gooey buttery chocolatey goodness is amazing! FYI.. Both my parents loved and raved about the food! Dad's favs: pizza and chips. Mom's favs: EVERYTHING! Lol!

It was pretty busy for it to be so early. The weight staff was very friendly and very warm and welcoming. Every single person we encountered. We ordered takeout. We had the caveman's platter and the links platter. As sides we had brussels sprouts, mac & cheese, cowboy beans and the plates came with cornbread. I was bummed they did not have collard greens and they did not have potato salad. Apparently collard greens are no longer being served. They've not yet updated their menu. And the potato salad we were advised that a large party had come before us, so there was no more. Which is crazy sad it was only noon and I think they open like at nine or 10 AM. So I kind of felt like we had to resort to what was left and based on how much food we ordered, we had six sides we had to select. Brisket vs Tri Tip- I'm a fatty meat kind of girl. So I definitely preferred the tri-tip. Which had more flavor than the brisket. Now, do not give me wrong by that statement. Because both meats are very good. You can taste that smoke for sure. But the one that you could eat without any sauce would be the tri-tip. The ribs were excellent. The barbecue links were good too. You only get two in the plate and they cut them up in little pieces. But they're good. They weren't overly spicy and they still had some good snap to them. Meats: 9.5/10 The barbecue sauce is a no. It is heavy on the vinegar so bring your own barbecue sauce. The brussels sprouts were I'd say 7/10. They weren't anything too fancy there's kind of like a balsamic on it. They're good but they're not amazing. It could've probably used like some bacon bits or something in it. I don't know. The mac & cheese is a no. It's literally large mushy noodles and watery cheese sauce.. and the cheese sauce is bland. 3/10 The cowboy beans were OK. It's more like a chili for sure. There's a lot going on in them but again they're pretty good. They lean more on the tangy side. When I say tangy, it's probably vinegar and ketchupy if I had to pinpoint the tastes. 6/10. The cornbread is a no. It's more flour based than corn. It falls apart pretty easy. It's kind of dense. At any rate, I'd prefer Jiffy over whatever they're using. 4/10

I'm always happy to be right. We were seated immediately and friendly service took drink orders and got us settled in. While the pizza looked good, the hand formed 5150 house-ground chuck burger is what I was interested in. Added some curly fries as an upgrade to my side and waited in eager anti-anti-antici-pa-pa-pation for our food. The burger was ok, lacked a bit of seasoning within the patty, but I'm starting to notice places not seasoning their patties. Maybe people are more sensitive to sodium in their diets, but I like a bit of garlic and herb in my burgers. The pretzel bun it was served on was much softer than I imagined it would be and was very good. The curly fries ween't worth the upsell, and even Hubs fries, like mine, had way too many tiny, crispy pieces to be thoroughly enjoyed. BUT...I was right about the dessert! COBBLER! I chose mixed berry and was treated to an amazing, hot-out-of-the-oven delight I had to wait to enjoy because it was SO FRESH and piping hot. The taste was a perfect tart, not too sweet, and the crumble top was perfect! It was served in an adorable cast iron skillet - the same it cooked in - on a plate and TWO spoons! lol Hubs was not having ANY of it. This bad boy was all mine! I would highly recommend their cobbler dessert! Next time, we might get there early enough for breakfast, or maybe try their pizza that looked so good.
