Lu, Emily & me dressed up for Halloween Zumba!

Today, we had a fangtastic time getting into the Halloween spirit with the Lu's Thursday morning Zumba crew.

My kid registered for this gym during the summer. He is going to college in a few days. He went to the gym 3 times in August to cancel the Gym membership, but the manager was not present. Today 9/10/2024 he was able to catch up with a manager there, but the office refused to cancel the plan unless he pays the fee for the next month. He was forced to pay it to get the membership canceled. The argument by the office manager was that you should cancel 10 days in advance. He asked to talk to the owner and was able to speak to Mr. Dan Baio, a general manager but who again rejected his request. I told my son to sign it and dispute through my credit card company. I don't advise people to use this gym. This is bad practice. PS: I just read the reviews from a few otger customers. My God, they are basically scamming people - people had difficulty to cancel the membership and their credit card was billed many months after the cancelation. The staff was rude.

I've been training with Alan for almost a year now, and I have to say, he is truly one of the most experienced and committed trainers out there! When I first started with Alan, I was super nervous. I had a lot of bad experiences with trainers in the past who just didn't understand my needs, especially since I was extremely overweight at the time. But Alan put me at ease right away. He totally gets the struggles of starting a workout journey and being overweight because he's been there himself! I thoroughly enjoy having him as my trainer, and would recommend Alan to anyone looking to improve their fitness and get in the best shape of there lives

Bang Bang Niner Gang! If you don't know, I was born in NorCal. If you don't know, I am a lifetime Faithful. If you don't know, I like to workout. And if you don't know, now you know. One problem about traveling away from home or going on vacation is missing workouts. Missing workouts is not what we do. People look up places to eat when they travel. I research gyms. 49ers Fit is perfect. It's perfect because every inch of this gym will remind you of greatness. The walls, the flooring, the color schemes, the weights, and even the gym goers are Niner'd out. This gym is also stacked with some of my favorite commercial gym equipment including some of the older Hammer Strength equipment. I'm not a huge fan of the next generation Nautilus and the leverage-based Hoist equipment, but that stuff is here too. The gym has at least 5 deadlift platforms and power racking for squats, a few free-weight benches, tons of Niner themed DB's, and a lot of cardio equipment. My only compliant...one Leg Press?? This gym is spacious, includes a turf area, and by the front desk is their store. Don't sleep on recovery because this gym has an area for that too. The $20 guest pass is worth it. On a side note, some of the 49ers Gold Rush were here on one of our visits practicing their moves. Got Five? We Do! We Want Six!! Bang Bang Niner Gang!! 2023 Yelp Review #1

I'm going there for last 3 years it's clean plenty of experience equipment if one breaks down it will be fixed fast not like the one I used to go I have a trainer name Ralph Brooks for last 2 years he is doing great job always pushing me to work hard but at same time he also watching out not to do more that I can't handle Bottom Line the exercises that he tells me to do if I'm by myself will not do it and I always tell him and that's the best part of it even it's hard or part of being lazy

    Sunil R.

If you like big gyms, this is a great option. It is new (3 years), very clean, well maintained with all the possible machines and equipment you would need. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They only have this one location and I wish they open up more. They are definitely better than the other chains. Though the branding limits it to the Bay Area. They have also a cool machine that measures and scores your flexibility and form by analyzing you when you do squats. Big + for the sauna and recovery equipment. I wonder how the staff and patrons would react if I go in wearing Raiders gear...Hmmm

I saw multiple people look confused as to where to place things back. I asked if there were wipes so I could wipe down my station and was told that the entire studio was disinfected including every single weight, and all towels were washed. I was doubtful since some of the classes on the class schedule were back to back. So basically they're tone policing me and telling me I looked dissatisfied, and then REPORTED me over that. ****I would personally not recommend going to a studio where they ban people for asking questions and being cautious.**** I went to one class and they banned me for asking for help, which is wild. I came early with my coworker and was excited to work out with her. During the class I moved through all the movements and asked for a modification during a lunge. I also asked for help when I wasn't feeling a stretch at the end of class. The instructor simply said "well I guess you just won't feel it then" and walked away. Other than that, I did not interact with the instructor. 2 days later I received an email saying I was banned because of my "behavior toward the instructor." I think this decision was more about the instructor's ego than anything else. I definitely don't recommend coming here unless you are someone with no fitness background and would rather be in silent pain than ask for help. And don't even bother if you have any sort of problems at all! Knee injury? Back pain? "Guess you just won't feel it then." I also want to share that I had an alternative experience at a local yoga studio where I was tentative about things and despite that, everyone made me feel incredibly welcome and invited me back. Even though it wasn't my cup of tea, I gave it a fair shot and have nothing but great things to say about the studio and team there and reviewed it accordingly. It really doesn't have to end this way, but some businesses are just really feedback-averse and that's disappointing to see.

I was a member at the time, had never asked for an extension before in my history with the studio, and had no way of knowing that a political demonstration would shut down their street to foot and car traffic. When I arrived the woman at the front desk did not even care to ask if I was a member nor check to see if I'd ever requested a late arrival before. She just told me "no". It was really frustrating that she basically shrugged her shoulders and said "its policy" to not let anyone in past 5 minutes when it had been exactly 6. I understand the principle, but if it's someone's first time and they are a paid member (not ClassPass ) then they should be given a one time forgiveness. Despite canceling, I was going to give them benefit of the doubt and not leave a yelp review because they assured me they were genuinely sorry for the experience. That all changed today when I saw that I have been charged not once not twice but THREE times since this incident. Despite signing a form on the spot that day and the manager assuring me, this would not happen. I'd been charged full price of the membership 3x when I had never stepped foot in the studio ever since. I cannot tell you how frustrating it is to once again I have to go through the endless loop of trying to get a hold of someone at this business. I worried that it would be a pretty mellow class but signed up anyway. My concern was completely unwarranted, at least based upon the way Anuja taught it. Using the wall meant not having to worry about balance - an issue for me given an arthritic left big toe and a chronically sprained right ankle - meaning that we could focus upon fuller expression of the poses thereby requiring greater strength. I love Balance Yoga Center. This is home! This is my safe zone. Mike and all instructors are…read morefriendly, welcoming, encouraging, and professional. Our classmates are very nice to each other as well. Sometimes I forced myself to get up of my bed and go to the studio; sometimes I was excited about the exercise even on my way driving to the studio; sometimes I had a challenge day so when Mike greeting me I looked unhappy. However, no matter how I was when I enter the studio; by the time I finished the class I would be in a much better mode. My mind got clearer, my chest felt lighter, I was happier. Balance Yoga Center not only brings me physical fitness, also mental and psychological health. I am so proud to be in this community, I love Balance Yoga Center!

That's honestly a steal so definitely check Groupon every now and then for amazing deals. I tried so many classes with different instructors to see which class called to me and I honestly love Hot Yoga the most. I have tried the Warm Vinyasa class and Hot Pilates as well. They were both lovely and fun classes to take but something about Hot Yoga and being in a heated room (90-105 degrees Fahrenheit) sounds so nice and soothing to me. This type of environment is believed to enhance flexibility, improve circulation, and promote detoxification through sweating. I have been doing Hot Yoga (Bikram Yoga aka 26 postures and two breathing exercises) for almost 2 months now and I truly believe Hot Yoga has improved all of those things for me. My whole body doesn't hurt as much from sitting at the desk all day and I can actually feel myself feeling healthier and looking much happier. A tip I would like to mention is that staying really hydrated the day before a Hot Yoga class helps tremendously! Listen to how your body feels to avoid overheating. No need to push yourself to take classes everyday and to take it at your own pace!
