Short version: If you need somebody to work on your irrigation system, call Jimmy and you won't regret it. You'll get great, honest service at an affordable price. Long version: Jimmy responded promptly to my request for service and was able to schedule me for an appointment quickly. He arrived on time and quickly went to work diagnosing and addressing the problems we had discussed. In a short amount of time, he located and repaired a leak and serviced several sunken heads and faulty nozzles around my 1/3 acre lot. At each step of the way, Jimmy presented options for how to fix each issue at different price points depending on my needs/wishes. He also helped me optimize each zone's programming after the repairs were done. Note that 4L irrigation Repair does not provide a quote up front because there are too many variables to be able to do this accurately up front. When all was said and done, I had thought of several more small repairs/adjustments than we had initially discussed and it became clear why an accurate up-front quote would not have been possible to provide anyway. Jimmy charges a flat hourly labor rate plus parts. While an unscrupulous repairman could use this model to milk a project, there is no need to worry about this with 4L Irrigation Repair. Jimmy worked quickly and efficiently, and I am confident that I got more than my money's worth. When it came time to pay, I was surprised by how affordable the invoice was. Jimmy was very pleasant to work with and took the time to explain his work and show me how to do some of my own DIY repairs. I won't look anywhere else if I need any more work done in the future. Month's later, we called and scheduled for them to replace some sprinkler heads, and do an over all check. Jimmy came out promptly on time. He got to work right away. He walked the property with us as we made mention of anything we thought needed attention; and any recommendations he had. He replaced a couple of popups, extension(s), and sprinkler heads. As a Law Enforcement Officer, I am extremely weary of people I have come to my home; let alone provide services at my residence. After seeing all the amazing reviews on Jimmy, I had to give 4L Irrigation a try. So lets start from the beginning. He arrived promptly at the time he told me he would be here. He was extremely professional, polite and clean cut. Jimmy and I walked my property and we discussed my expectations and what I needed him to do. With confidence and enthusiasm, he quickly assured me that he was going to take care of my needs. The other reviews were spot on! This guy was EVERYWHERE! There is always concern when someone is working by the hour but he quickly and thoroughly tackled the work. Every step he explained and showed me what needed to be fixed, how he would fix it and the end result. He was upfront and honest with me about the price of his services and legitimately cared about making sure I knew what he was doing and why he was doing it. He didn't drag his feet or take advantage of the hourly rate! When I received the bill, I couldn't believe it. I was expecting twice if not three times more than what he charged me. Jimmy with 4L is the absolute best. We were having trouble getting any sprinkler repair person to come out and repair our system which was completely dead and had been for several months. When I called Jimmy based on other great YELP reviews he said he didn't have any openings for several weeks but if we were willing he would try to fit us in when he could. He was able to squeeze us in about a week later with a 1.5 hr window and was able to get us completely back up and running during that time, in addition to some additional work we needed to have done. He communicated very thoroughly and was prompt. He arrived when he said he would. He was very friendly and explained things in a detailed manner. The summer is coming and all my sprinklers need to be in tip top shape plus I had a few issues throughout my yard. Had 4L go to our rental house to fix a reported problem with the irrigation system. We paid for 2 visits and the problems still were not fixed. Had another company come and he found the volume for the sprinkler line was open very little. Upon opening it completely, the sprinklers worked great and we were charged for only 1/2 hour minimum visit. Our conclusion was that the problem should have been resolved by a competent technician and 4L did not do this. read more
