He listened to what I needed and bid accd. to that. He had no problem running my project thru the HOA. The quote was very clear, detailed in project steps and payment schedule. And relative to the project scope the price was reasonable. Stayed in communication thru out the job, and made sure everything was completed as quoted. And all the office and LP&S workers were outstanding. Shannon responded to my questions and was always ready to help. Scott, Mike... the tilers- all of the support team were personable, responsible, respectful of property and a pleasure to interact with. I could not end my review without saying that Juan, the Waterfall remodeler was a true artisan. Wow! Really he rebuilt, sealed, painted and modeled the material to look like real rocks and so that the waterfall flow perform much better. It's beautiful. This month, we hired BND Pool Plastering to complete a much needed renovation of our existing pool…read more Besides BND, we got 2 other estimates. All were competitive and each used a different pebble-type finish. We made the decision to move forward with BND because of our outstanding experience working with Michael, our estimator, and because BND is the only company in the valley trained and approved to install Wet Edge Technologies plaster products. We fell in love with their Prism Matrix Indigo Blue product (a multi-color pebble finish with glass beads, shell and tumbled tiny rocks). Their pricing was in line with the other estimates and fell in the middle to upper part of all estimate costs, but offered a longer warranty at 5 years and a longer estimated lifespan than some of the other finishes (estimated around 20 years with proper weekly care and maintenance). Overall, we are so happy with our decision! It was a GREAT experience working with all of the BND team and the finished results look fantastic!! (See photos.) Michael was just the best to work with! We were referred to BND by Jaron at California Pools. He provided me with contact info for Jay, BND's owner. He had Michael reach out to me right away to set-up our first estimate appt. Michael was my main point person during our whole project. He was so patient with us and let us put every color sample chip in our pool underwater next to our new tile selection before we finalized the contract to ensure we loved our selection. (It is so important to see them submerged as the colors can be very different under water than when they are dry.) In addition to draining our pool, chipping out the old plaster and replastering our pool, we also had the BND team remove our old calcified glass waterline tile and part of our back wall pool tile. The hard water in Las Vegas made both of the old tile selections almost impossible to keep clean. BND installed our selected Pearl Matte 12" x 24" pool tiles purchased from Aquabella (6" x 24" around the waterline to minimize grout lines). They handled the ordering and materials pick-up with Aquabella. (Our grout selection was TSP Sterling.) The whole renovation process was so well organized by both Michael and Dani at their office. And their crews were awesome!! They worked clean covering all of our outdoor furniture with heavy plastic along with our driveway, underneath their slurry box in the street as well as any of our walkways they would be using for their tools and to transport materials. Marco even put down plastic under the hose on our artificial turf when draining the pool. The whole chip-out process was completed in one day (Friday) with 12 crew members. The 2-person tile team came the following Monday to both remove the old tile and install the new tile. Both crews were so careful around our pool decking and our stacked stone on the back pool wall that was staying. All the guys worked very clean which I truly appreciated! Michael would come each day to inspect the finished work and give the okay for the next phase of work to continue. Dani at their office would confirm the following day's work schedules with me each afternoon. We had our pool lights replaced by Nationwide Pool LLC on Wednesday which we planned with our scheduling. Replastering was completed on Thursday. On Friday, a small team returned to complete the light acid wash. In a 9-day span, all of the work was completed! Marco returned the end of the following week to re-install our pool cleaning pop-up heads. Michael and BND also provided detailed instructions on the first 30 days of pool care after our pool was re-filled with water. The timing was perfect for us to use Nationwide Pool for our 5-day new pool refinishing kick-off. They appreciated the detailed instructions to insure proper care. Michael also fielded some extra questions from me the following week that came up during our 5-day kick-off service. Overall, Michael and the whole BND crew and staff were wonderful to work with. We are in love with the finished results and look forward to swim season starting in our beautiful new pool! Thank you, BND!!

My wife and I will be relocating to Las Vegas from the East coast and recently completed…read moreconstruction of our forever home in one of Las Vegas' newest planned communities. I manage large capital projects for a Government agency, so I understand design and construction...but absolutely nothing about pools or the Las Vegas market. So we spent months researching before deciding to actually contact two (2) national chains and one (1) local company to discuss our vision and get estimates. Besides the obvious customer reviews and feedback, we were most interested in the company's project portfolios. We wanted to be sure the company had a history of creating the total backyard environment we envisioned. All three (3) had extensive experience creating the environments we wanted for our back yard...a complete package that included a desert landscape theme with lighting and irrigation, free-form pool with wet-deck and Zion-like rock waterfall, stand-alone spa, pergola-covered seating area and fire pit. All three (3) companies were able to send someone out to the house relatively soon after initial contact. Danny Lovio arrived exactly when he said he would and spent the first few minutes introducing himself and California Pools. Then...he spent the next hour LISTENING to our vision...asking questions to clarify, offering suggestions and alternatives...but more LISTENING than talking. And we had some very specific expectations and desires...specific color palette, pool features, landscape elements, sight lines, etc. As I would expect from a designer, he made sure we understood the process, limitations of our lot and budget...and he offered alternatives that might enhance our design vision and operations/sustainability. The one thing he DIDN'T do...was try to force his design vision onto us. He was very up-front about the potential cost and promised to put together a plan that fit both our vision and budget. At the end of the session, we were favorably impressed enough to pay the $250 design fee and move forward with the design/estimate process. All three (3) companies estimated 2-3 weeks to get back to us with the concept design and estimate. One (1) week later, Danny sent us his design concept package and detailed cost proposal. The design included the 3D video and the 5-page proposal included a detailed breakdown of all the elements...excavation, plumbing, electrical, concrete, equipment packages, decking, landscape, etc...to include add/deduct options that would allow us to tweak our budget. To say that Danny "nailed it" would be an understatement. He captured everything we envisioned...only better. What was really impressive, was that he managed to relay exactly what we envisioned to his landscape consultant...who also nailed exactly what we had in mind. We asked Danny to make a couple minor adjustments to the spa and color of the waterfall...but we essentially had a final plan we loved within 2 weeks of initial meeting. Construction schedules are a nice planning tool, but seldom survive the first shovel of dirt. Caliche soil, rain, wind, temperatures, labor disputes...can devastate the schedule. The construction manager's challenge is to adjust to those issues to keep the project moving forward and manage the customer's expectations. Mario Villegas is one of the best...always keeping us aware of progress with pictures and videos...and making us aware of any potential problems. The actual schedule exceeded the original 12 week schedule, but delays were legitimate weather issues...and we always knew what was happening. Throughout the process, I got the strong sense that we received the same level of attention to detail he would give to a family member. And besides being good at his job, Mario is one of the nicest, most genuine, people I've ever met. That goes for Danny too! Bottom line...this was a great experience for us with an amazing outcome. If you are in the market for a new pool, you owe it to yourself to give Danny, Mario and California Pools a close look.

After spending several months of research and talking to various companies about building a pool…read moreand designing our back yard at our new home, we landed with Poolscapes.    Tanr Ross met with us several times to learn about our vision and then took it to the next level by showing us what was possible that we didn't even consider. This is the advantage to working with someone who has been designing and building pools and back yards for decades. The design Tanr created included all the items on our wish list but was also what I would call "smart design" because it included materials and efficiencies that enhanced the project, while avoiding common mistakes made by other builders. We were included in all material selections and encouraged to ask any and all questions during the build process.   Poolscapes worked seamlessly with our landscaper and other contractors taking the pressure off of us. The budget was maintained and there were no surprises.  We have now enjoyed our pool for a full year, and I am so thankful we had none of the issues our friends have had working with other pool companies.

We also had a few minor issues that came up and again Scott would always respond to my texts and if needed had someone out the next morning to take care of it. I had left the heater one once while out of the country and texted Scott who quickly went to the house and turned it off for me. I was originally very happy with my backyard landscaping however have had some issues with a side…read moregate that they put in and did not do a good job with. It is not secured very well and i have contacted them on many occasions asking for it to be fixed. There were initially Covid issues which was understandable and I have been very patient but at this point is has been about 9 months and my gate still is not fixed and I am not receiving any response in regard. I've contacted my rep who was helping and was supposed to fix it two Monday's ago. I also request contact directly through their website and still have not been contacted. At this point my patience has run very thin and I'm upset at the lack of service after the fact.
