Full disclosure, I work for another auto group. I come here from time to time to drop off cars we…read moreneed serviced because we don't sell Fords. Their service department is always unfailingly polite and helpful, when sometimes you don't get good help when you're coming from a 'competitor.' I've gotten good service both in and out of my 'uniform' identifying me as an employee of someone else's dealership. I usually interact with Will and he's a great help. If I had my own Ford to get fixed I'd bring it to Byerly.

Lavonda at the front desk was also very warm, kind, and welcoming; I have no complaints about these two, nothing but positives to say about them. Unfortunately, that is where the positives stop. The management team killed the deal (possibly?) before it even really began. We hit a mild snag with a cosigner needing to travel about 12 hours round trip to sign some of the paperwork. First they blamed it on the bank, saying they required it, then the new car manager Evan told me it's actually their policy and they haven't even talked to a bank yet. Then when I asked him about the discrepancy in what I was being told vs. What I'm now being told he got incredibly offended and defensive. He treated me as if we were adversaries and spoke down to me because "I've been a sales manager for over 20 years" (I can tell. You're clearly not used to having your lies questioned. Very long-term middle-managment thing to do in my opinion, but my opinion might not be worth much, I only have about a quarter of the time in the auto sales industry Evan here does.) He also insisted that him even speaking to me was illegal because "I'm not on the deal" then, when I asked him to cite the law he's referencing he took a very long, condiscending route to tell me no. (Because the law doesn't exist. He's just saying whatever he feels will get someone off his back) He then proceeded to describe a hypothetical situation that was completely unrelated and ended it with "then it would be illegal for me to discuss rates or terms or credit with you" (which is actually correct but based on his track record it seems to me that was just an example of a broken clock twice a day.) to which I asked him "have I asked you anything about any of those things?" To which he said "Not yet." Which sealed the deal for me that this man clearly isn't actually listening to me and only wanted to get me off the phone. Which is about in line with the experience we had with the rest of the management team who seemed to actively avoid talking to customers if they could. Evan also told me they were "holding the car for y'all" which, after speaking with my girlfriend, turns out she was told explicitly that it wasn't going to be held without a $500 deposit. Who knows which is actually true? Their website says their locations are "all backed by award-winning service, express online shopping, and a deep commitment to treating everyone like family." The service truly was phenomenal on the ground level, but much above that and the only award they're winning is the hall of shame. Their version of "express online shopping" seems to mean "pick it out online and then come in and do the whole thing in person" (read: literally non-existent) and if this is how they treat family, I'll skip the reunion. I don't want to listen to uncle Evan tell us all how he used to be able to throw a football clear over them mountains and he would've gone pro if it weren't for his bum knee all day. Evan left a bad enough taste in my mouth that my girlfriend and I will be taking our business elsewhere. Everything about this place's management seems to thrive on shady backroom dealings and lying to customers about things they don't even need to lie about. If you want an easy, professional car buying experience, unfortunately I don't know where to point you, but I do know it would not be Byerly. UPDATE: They saw my review and asked me to call them so they could try and change my experience with them. I called, explained, she told me to hold on, went silent for a few minutes, blind transfered me to someone's voicemail, and days and they still haven't gotten back to me. Now they're trying to use me as an instrument to lie to you. These people do not do honest business at any point when provided an opportunity to. Stear as clear from here as you can.

However, the brake light was on and the brakes were worn out and I mentioned it to Tara who is the dealership wife. Tara said, if I decide to purchase the car, they will fix the brakes. They only put brake pads on it and when i was driving the car out of their lot the check engine light on and their shady mechanic deleted it and it came back again and the car keeps stalling. I also discovered that the vehicle needs a new catalytic converter. I kept having the same issue over and over. Brakes wobbling and car stalling putting my life at risk And Raul refused to fix the car he even asked me to pay him in order to fix it and asked me to leave his shop because I was complaining about it and told him that since he doesn't want to take it back, fix it, or give me another car. I will sue him. Raul and Tara, this story would be on the news. I have also reported you to the BBB and other consumer agencies. I will let the whole city know about your shady business practices. Stay away from this shady dealer. Very arrogant and dishonest. Don't trust their mechanic, otherwise you will remember my review.
