Upon entering you're greeted. The store is fully stocked, very clean & highly organized. They have sanitizer available. Ventilation is very good. The employees are Very friendly, Highly professional & Social. Pricing is usually the same among all 5.11 locations. So can't comment on pricing really. Always looking for deals though. The general crowd is Mainly Police, Fire & Military customers. There's regular customers shopping as well. The noise level was normal for a retail store. Quiet & Relaxed. Mainly adults shopping. No kids really. Very highly disciplined crowd which is a MAJOR PLUS. This location also has easily accessible free parking available too which is a plus. The only downfall with this location is there's no longer a clearance section available for discounted items. Some of the best deals were sometimes in the clearance section. They have a lot of things you'd be looking for as far as tactical and survival products, pretty pricey which would be the only "downside" to me. The store is very large and is enforcing social distancing and providing hand sanitizer. The customer service was great and the employee was very informative. read more

I wasn't aware there was 5.11 in Rockville Maryland. Right across the street from Barnes and Nobles. I have one other place to go to if the store in Virginia doesn't have what I need. It being New Years day, I like the fact the sign on the door said when they would be closed. Several place I have been to do not say when they are closing. read more

Love the quality gear and the commitment to customer service. Brought in some sunglasses that had scratched and they swapped them out for new ones. First time any of my 5.11 gear has had any issue. This is why I trust 5.11 (I've got jackets, polos, shorts, plate carrier, backpack, boots, etc)- the quality is on point and the staff, particularly at this location, will make it right in the unlikely event they need to. Russell in particular is always knowledgeable and helpful. Big salute to Russell and team for an outstanding job and to 5.11 for great gear. I'll be back soon. read more

Cool store and one of the first in the State of Maryland. Very knowledgeable Manager that answered all my random questions. In my opinion, 5.11 has a specific customer base. However, as a non-law enforcement civilian, I find their selection interesting with some practical use. But don't take my review, go there and check it out for yourself. read more

Love, love, love, this new store on the Pike. They have a really nice selection of apparel and other gear. While the prices are not cheap, I think the quality and fit are excellent. I can be a tough fit for tac pants and the first pair I tried on fit like a glove - so I got two pairs, because that's how I roll! Lots of other goodies and things you never knew you needed! Staff helpful and knowledgeable about the product. Only problem I could see (and there may have been another area that I missed) was that they appeared to only have two changing rooms - although once you get in there is tons of elbow room, good lighting, and mirrors. Everything very clean, well organized, and well stocked. Can't wait to hang my tactical stocking on the mantle and I'll be back as soon as I've cashed in all my holiday gift cards. The store itself was very nice but for some reason we had a sketchy experience while checking out at the front register. The promotion said that you would receive a free patch with $100 purchase & another for a purchase while supplies lasted. We drove all the way from Virginia for both the patch & the 20% off and while checking out we were told they ran out when the patches were right in a box at the register. We asked multiple times about the patches and were told we are out..... finally one guy pulled it out of the bag and gave it to us (the free one with purchase). We spend over $100 and did not receive the other patch because they said it ran out but I don't know how true that was. Very sketchy. Really nice and well kept store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Recently I purchased so shorts and a bag here and the staff really went out of their way to help me make the right purchase. Store is well kept and new. Parking is sort of a issue here but a little patience you can park in front of the store. When driving there for the first time pay attention because it's on a busy road and is a little off the road. It's easy to miss it and drive by! read more

Amazing customer service. I bought a winter jacket on clearance in the summer and only wore it a couple times before one of the seams began splitting. I went to the store 3 months after purchase and they were able to order me a brand new one as well as ship to my house free of charge. They also threw in a free hat. I've purchased several things online from 5.11 Tactical - including their awesome Battle Kilt - and it's great to have a brick & mortar store to try on stuff so I know my sizes. I went into the store last week and the staff were great! Each was knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet there when I had questions, and all were constantly putting things away and keeping the store clean and stocked. All were friendly and genuinely seemed to enjoy working at 5.11. Really good people who not only knew the brand's history, but they all were wearing clothing from the store by choice, not because they had to as a condition of working there (I asked). I really like this brand, the clothing fits well, looks good and is durable - lots of pockets, some hidden, with a clean professional look not found in most "tactical" clothing. Great for business casual work dress. great quality and not overly expensive in my experience with there clothes and bags. The store also has a really good selection of affordable backpacks, bags and totes. And it also has some really useful tactical gadgets and a good selection of quality knives. I was excited to get an email from 5.11 about the new store opening. I made the trip out there and was kind of bummed. The store was smaller than I imagined and lacked a big variety of graphic shirts that I was hoping to find. The store was very clean and organized, and the staff greeted us on the way in. I'll be back in if they expand their selection of graphic shirts. read more

I posted a review on Saturday, Sept 14th. I had arrived at the store at 10am and it was not open. I had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to show up and open the store. Yelp moved my review to the "not recommended" section of the reviews so it would not be seen. That is censorship and completely unacceptable. read more
