Almost feels like many of the reviews on here are fake. We hired them to add several new pages and landing pages to our existing website. We explicitly defined our scope of work and expected timeline to launch our website from the beginning. Many of the items we sent to David were lost in emails even after multiple rounds of Zoom calls and him recording. We worked with David and his developer, which happens to be some person outside of the US, for about 3 weeks. Eventually nothing was completed for us to launch on our existing website. After rounds of back and forth with content that we supplied and many emails asking for various items all the time, David started asking for more money and complained that wanting to launch our new pages after 3 or 4 weeks was too much for him to handle and that he was not able to work under this kind of pressure. We had no issue paying him more money as it was way cheaper to begin with (just like his service) however, it seemed like he knew he was not capable of delivering something professional after all and decided to quit. We agreed to receive our money back and part ways. Our wasted time and frustration will never get sompensated and it was clear that our time and trust to this business did not mean anything to this team. Basically zero customer service. More importantly, we really didn't appreciate the fact that they use cheap labor from some other country with language barriers and only act as a middle person. We specifically didn't want this type of service as we had interviewed several other developers on Upwork and other freelance websites, but eventually ended up getting the same level of service at a more expensive price. Basically nothing is done in house, David is just the face. Rarely inclined to leave negative reviews but unfortunately this is a fair observation based on the service that was provided to us. If you are looking for reliable trustworthy web development service, I strongly recommend staying away from this business - it's almost a scam and you will regret the time and money you spend here.

To the point that Yasha could not take my calls during my busy schedule BUT accommodated me by setting a second call with Bavesh, good guy too. Yasha and Bavesh agreed to a price, which was already double what I had originally budgeted for. But in the ball park of other app development companies that I vetted. With emails back and forth with Yasha, we agreed on a price. With ALL items specifically dictated in the emails. Once it was time to get the contract out and sign, Yasha tried to pull another amount out of me. This after reviewing all the docs, powerpoints I sent, multiple meetings and emails with exact information back and forth. "Bait and switch" come to mind. Needless to say I was very upset. Disappointed because I expected to be treated better than this. Not jerked around by a sales tactic in order to squeeze out a few more dollars. I emailed Yasha to certify that all emails were deleted and to comply with the NDA. He simply replied "Done". Upset, I sent a follow up email stating that there was no honor and that I was disappointed because I expected more from them. He had the AUDACITY to reply with a "thumbs up" emoji. No apology, no acknowledgement of wrong doing, just a "thumbs up" emoji. For someone who studied psychology (it's on his bio") that was incredibly immature. Anyway, great designs, bad experience. Buyer beware.

Then I asked them to put together a simple 3-slide PowerPoint presentation describing their company, so I could include it my company's presentation to a MAJOR entertainment company, for an app concept we were pitching to them. (So in essence, all I asked AppMakersLA to provide me with is a "digital brochure" about their company, so our prospective client would have a relatively clear idea of who we were going to be developing the app with.) Not only did AppMakersLA do a mediocre job on the first draft of the PPT "brochure," but when I asked them to make a few minor formatting changes to it, they said they would have to CHARGE me for making the changes - to their own company's promotional literature (!) Obviously that didn't go over too well on our end, and when I pointed out to the "Senior Project Manager" that I couldn't understand why he didn't feel that it was his responsibility to make sure that my notes were addressed in a timely manner and WITHOUT my company having to pay for them (again, because it was a description of HIS OWN COMPANY) he actually got offended and said that he couldn't do business with us because we were being "disrespectful" to him (!) So I guess not only is the concept of "The Customer Is Always Right" NOT a key management principal @ AppMakersLA, apparently the Customer isn't even allowed to have an opinion! After recently installing an expensive Orbi mesh system (made by NETGEAR) in my home to amplify my…read morenetwork's Wi-Fi signal throughout the house, I was experiencing very challenging network connectivity issues with two wireless printers. No matter what I did, or how I configured them, I simply could not succeed in getting either of these printers to connect to my new mesh system, which essentially creates a new, and faster, network on top of your existing Wi-Fi network. I spent countless frustrating hours, including multiple tech support calls with printer manufacturer technicians, trying to resolve this issue on my own, but to no avail. I'm a very technology savvy individual, and my inability to solve this problem was particularly vexing and dismaying. Finally, at my wit's end, I called Martin Duran of PC Idiot in Ventura to see if his company performed house calls, and Martin referred me to Blase. Blase is extraordinarily responsive; within 20 minutes of calling Martin, I was on the phone with Blase describing the problem, and on that very same call, I set up an in-home service appointment for the following afternoon. I texted Blase my address and printer model numbers after the call so he was prepared for his service appointment. Blase is extremely personable, experienced, professional, knowledgeable and punctual. He arrived right on time, and he got to work immediately...first on the PC and printer in my home office, and then the PC and printer in my father's office. He knew exactly what to do and how to resolve these issues, and he worked deliberately and efficiently. The entire service call was 90 minutes in duration, although it would have required less time if he didn't have to wait to uninstall and reinstall printer drivers and software on my father's old PC. Once the work was completed, I cut Blase a check, he wrote me a receipt, and he was on his way. All in all, I am extremely happy/pleased with Blase's performance and the outcome, and I highly recommend him for any beguiling PC or network connectivity issues you may have. He charges clients a flat hourly rate, so there are no additional trip charge fees for gas/mileage, as there are with some service providers. If you've ever experienced PC-related issues, then you know very well how frustrating and time-consuming they can be to resolve. Do yourself a favor, and save yourself time and headaches by calling Blase for help. You won't be sorry!
