The team that did my root canal took off the temporary crown after drilling a whole through it and placed it back incorrectly. After driving back to my college apartment 2 hours away, and while eating a SALAD WITH NO CRUTONS my crown fell off. The dentist who re-applied it today told me if/ when it falls off to use toothpaste and push it back onto my root canal. On top of that I received no paper work or documents, but they were quick to charge my car! Now i'm waiting for the out of office emergency dentist to return my call (while still holding my temporary crown and in excruciating pain)

My first mistake was not doing my own research and consulting with an actual oral surgeon, as Dr. Morehead has a DDS in general dentistry. 5 years and 7 months later, I still cannot feel the left side of my tongue. I consulted an oral surgeon and they let me know before they could even see me that there was nothing they could do because it had been too long since the injury. What an emotional rollercoaster this has been. If I had been informed to see an oral surgeon sooner, I would have. I only had one follow up appointment after the surgery and the doctor said it would come back. It never did. They will not advocate for you. Do not make the same mistake I did. Consult an oral surgeon elsewhere for your wisdom teeth removal.

They call you at least once within the week of to remind you of your scheduled appointment, as well as sending you a reminder weeks prior in the mail. The office is very clean, and in a great location 1604/Sonterra/281. Dr. Nistar is very kind and takes her time with every patient. During my last visit I had to get two fillings. When I finally got an appointment I requested the time off from work only to show up and be told that I could not be seen because the system was down. What that has to do with my cleaning is beyond me but I was not seen. Drove 25 minutes to get there and took time off from work for nothing. I did not reschedule and will find somewhere else to go. Mind you, they said they've been working on the system update since Friday so a courtesy call on Friday would've been good. I might have been more inclined to reschedule then if I knew I wouldn't have wasted time on Monday.

I appreciate her professionalism, have built a rapport with her and that she's not excessively chatty. She's given me tips over the years and I know I'm in good hands when I'm being attended by her. I get disappointed if she isn't available. I had X-rays today and those bite-wing things can be overwhelming in the mouth so I just focused because at one point I almost threw up for some reason when it was towards the back of my mouth but I held it together. Luckily it's only once a year. Everything was straightforward and afterwards, Dr. Ruiz examined my mouth, scraped a little and I asked her about getting a new, thinner Mouthguard that will act like a Retainer. At first she mentioned one product that was for my upper and lower teeth but I told her I didn't have braces on my lower teeth so she thought about it and decided to have me try something else. I ended up ordering an Essix Retainer that's thicker than a regular Invisalign Retainer which is more flimsy so it acts like a Night Guard. I was able to get an iTero mouth/teeth 3D scan at the beginning of my appointment so I was able to skip an appointment and just come for the fitting later this month. The 3D scan is a new and free procedure that tracks changes in your mouth/teeth for future reference. Dr. Ruiz was very nice in our brief visit. My regular dentist is currently on Maternity Leave. As always, I leave with extra sample toothpaste, toothbrush and floss. The office has a Keurig machine, chips tray and bottled water in a small fridge and an Air Purifier out in the waiting room.

Dr. Imam is not only amazing, he is kind, understanding and has walked us through this process. He helped coordinate a team of orthodontist, periodontist, and oral surgeon. He was crutial in healing my son's trama to his mouth. He needed braces, 3 root canals, an extraction and gum work. Dr. Imam was also always available even for emergencies on the weekends.
