Sunday night we stopped by The 500 Club for a super late dinner around 10:30 PM. There was no wait at all, though the place was still buzzing. The casino floor looked full, but the dining area was surprisingly calm for that hour, which made it perfect for a quick, relaxed bite. I usually order the same thing every time, the Spicy Basil, and if you have not tried it yet, I highly recommend getting it over pho noodles instead of rice. Game changer. That said, I did notice a small inconsistency this visit. The last few times I have ordered, the spicy Thai fish sauce has come out automatically, kind of like ketchup at a diner. This time, though, we were charged $2 for a tiny condiment cup, which felt a little odd. Not sure if that is an actual policy now or if we were just the lucky ones this time. Still, the food came out quickly, we ate, and we were on our way, and honestly, late night Thai food is always a crowd pleaser. There are not many places in town where you can grab Thai after 10 PM, so The 500 Club remains a solid go to for those late cravings.

We pulled up to the casino with a big group late at night around 1-2am. I was surprised they seated us right away. This casino is a little small because they only have tables. There are no slot machines. We ordered a few appetizers and meals. The appetizers came out pretty quickly. I ordered the buttered chicken and I would say it was okay. The place did get busy. I asked for a to go box but they forgot so I didn't get to bring it home. I would say for a local casino this place is good for what it's worth.

Randomly came here to eat after leaving classics since it's in the same area just across the way. I've also heard the food here is good. We sat down and ordered. We got loaded potato skins, steak dinner on a bed of zucchini and squash, with a loaded baked potato, I think a bbq chicken flat bread pizza, ribs that came with sticky rice and spicy jale (sauce), and mini burger sliders which were really cute. Everything came out nice and hot and service was great. Our waitress was attentive and checked up on us. I asked for hot sauce and I got that. The place was packed and busy. There was a couple drunk people around. The table next to us was really loud and obnoxious and just yelling and screaming at each other. Looks like they was arguing. They ended up getting kicked out. Shit got crazy. lol we got dinner and some entertainment. Meal was great!

For Hmong New Year, 500 Club came out with a special only until the 29th. They may come out with something special for Vday. Calamari Salad- It's a cold salad with veggies, fried Calamari and vermicelli noodles on a beautiful bed of lettuce- Very good n delicious. Crying Tiger- I did not try, but it looked delicious. Hmong Platter- Can feed 2. It came with the purple hmong sticky rice, perfect texture, papaya salad, cruncy, salty, sweet, umami flavor, large sweet glazed chicken thighs, meat was so tender and freshly fried, colorful prawn chips. Drunken Noodles- Did not try as I was by myself. Service was great because I spilled fermented fish sauce all over the table and they helped me clean it up. Ambiance: Casual, lots of noise with tvs playing football, due to a recent head injury and forgetting to take my nausea meds, I stayed and ate for awhile and had to go home to take my meds. Both dishes i had was yummy and each dish can feed 2!

1/13/25 Getting onion rings to go with lunch! Called and got directed to the bar. Nice worker picked up and I ordered onion rings. He was happy to take order and offered ketchup, ranch or BBQ sauce.. Picked BBQ sauce. He said it would be ready in 15 min and I went to pick it up! Arrived & greeted by security first. ID checked. Then went inside and greeted by bartender. Very kind. Asked if I ordered pick up. Said yes and he brought it to the bar. Very kind! Gave receipts, signed to pay for it and wished a good day! Very nice bar! Calm and low key. Separate from the casino. Lunchtime! Onion rings were Great! Crisp and tasty! Even better with their BBQ sauce! Lots of leftovers! Great service & Great onion rings! Highly recommended!

One of my fav pho bowls! The oxtail is always tender & broth full of flavor, not to mention the bowl it's served in keeps it HOT!

Food was great, but I'm not sure how I felt about the lady at the bar, I was being real nice and it just felt like she was dissing me the whole time like literally I didn't say much other than ordered my food and I still didn't really feel welcomed. I had to ask for a few things instead of being asked if I wanted or needed anything just like any other restaurant would. I also asked for more water and she just grabbed my cup and tossed the ice almost as if she was implying that I ain't getting sh*t lol. I was like dang okay. She was wearing a dolphins jersey. Mind you this was after lunch rush cus no one was in there but I get it they had to get ready for the next rush, but come on now.

We passed up going to sushi (my fave) to come here to meet up another friend... can't say that I think we made the right decision. The food (I got the Phad Thai) wasn't bad but it's definitely not the best I've ever had. I'll be honest, I judged it immediately based on its color but it wasn't as bad as I thought, especially with tofu-- which I surprisingly enjoyed on it. I've never had tofu in my Phad Thai. It also came with shrimp and chicken... Shrimp was good, I didn't eat the chicken but my friend did and they said it was good. My friend got the Khao Piak, she enjoyed it. If it's the same as it was back then-- then I'm sure it was good. Seating was on a first come first serve basis. Waitress helped us once she was able, and considering how many tables and guests she had-- she did pretty good on her own. The wait for the food/drinks was a hot minute though. While we waited, we stepped outside where they had a live dj and an outdoor bar... it was cool but just not my scene anymore-- and way too crowded. Good music though. We ordered one round of the Mexican Candy shooters (yum) then went back inside. Eventually the food finally came. All in all-- if you like gambling, late night meals, and club vibes without the club... this might be the spot for you? Idk if they have that every night though... don't take my word for it. But-- it's not for me. Maybe only socially, if I have to.

It was Sunday at 2pm and this place was packed, so reservations are a must. Luckily for us, we were just two and were able to get a bowling lane after only waiting about 15 to 20 minutes. We waited in the bar area, had a drink and ordered some food. This is a fully loaded bar with a fully loaded menu too. Pizza, burgers, salads, and sandwiches to name a few. We ordered chicken fingers to share, a couple of cocktails, and headed to our lane. You can either keep a tab at the bar or they have servers that come by your bowling lane if you want more drinks or food. Everything was super easy to set up, and I loved their music selection and the TVs on the back wall showing the baseball game. It was nine dollars per person, per game. I wasn't wearing any socks when we arrived, but they do offer socks that you get to keep for a small fee. I definitely come back, especially knowing that they offer leagues, any membership passes, and tons of activities for the kids here. Plus in the heat of the summer, It's nice to be in air-conditioned business where you can drink at 11am and no one looks at you funny.

So yeah, that long. I'm on vacation this week and didn't want it to be a stay-cation. In fact, I was hoping to get away for at least an overnight trip. I was thinking, Santa Cruz, Tahoe, Lots Angeles even. I shoot my ideas over to my wife and she says, I was thinking Dave and Busters. Clearly we were on different pages. But I understand where she is coming from, and as you can see, her idea won out. We don't tell the kids where we are going. They just know we are going somewhere for lunch and that it's a surprise. We pull up and my youngest says, I've always wanted to come here! We drive past it every week on the way to gynastics so I shouldn't have been surprised. The older kids barely remember going to D&B as kids, so it's a treat for them too. We walk in and we get the biggest gift ever by a guy with his boys walking out. He has an all day pass that he wants to give to us. We can use it for tickets, but the games will be free. We come to find out that there is a 30 second freeze on the card in between uses, but we learn to adjust. But I'm getting ahead of myself. We order our food, ensuring that we order from the menu where we can get a game card. Best bang for our buck. I got the crispy chicken sandwich with Buffalo sauce. Three of my kids got cheese burgers and my wife got the wings. Everyone enjoyed their food. What my son and I really wanted was the Buffalo chicken sandwich that comes with blue cheese, but it didn't come with a game card. In addition to the free all-day card we received, we ended up with 4-$10 gaming cards, but those go quick! Like, 15-20 min. Mostly by my daughter playing games that earn tickets. My oldest is more interested in skill games. There's one in the middle where you step on lights on the ground or touch them on the wall. We did that one as a family. Lots of fun. We spent about 2 hours there. I'm sure the boys would have stayed longer if they could but my daughter was winding down. Before we leave, we pass the all-day card to another family. We repeatedly asked our server and she just kept saying she will get it. She was very forgetful the whole time. She also kept telling us she was working a double shift and that she's tired not sure why we need to know that information also she would take 25 mins to bring in our drinks and then she would say "I'm just one person I can't carry everything" which I felt was very rude and I know everyone else did. We ended up asking a gentlemen walking by to help us out with dips and sauces for the food and drinks and he did which was so kind of him. We spent over $500 on my mom's party and the server was just not the best. Very sweet girl but Brooklyn seemed like she was overwhelmed and didn't want to do it. Also my guest all had different tabs for drinks and she got our drinks mixed on different tabs and told us she couldn't fix it and if they don't mind just paying for somebody else's drink. When closing out the tabs she was telling us to leave a tip here (on the screen) and didn't give anybody receipts after we asked for them. And we find out the next day from Tere the event coordinator that there's an automatic gratuity charge of %20 on each guest tab because we are a party.. which was very unfortunate because we were not told that and we were still tipping her at the end on the card. Randy was the only one who told me when signing my contract and paying remaining balance that there's an automatic tip no need to tip. But I didn't know it applied to all my guest tabs when they were ordering drinks as well. Very inconvenient and the event coordinator should let people know there's automatic gratuity for everyone in your party and every transaction because you guys are a party. The managers were amazing but the server was not the best at all. And now I know for the future and I'll make sure to share that if you book a party here request two servers and that there's automatic gratuity in each transaction we do because we are a party.
