Last night (3-12-26) we enjoyed dinner at The Station (109 Railroad St.) in Lee, MA on our way to visiting our newest grandson in the Hudson Valley. In brief--Creative cuisine, excellent mocktails, at competitive prices, with friendly service in a quaint, renovated train depot on the Housatonic River." The Lenox-Lee is well known and regarded for an assortment of outstanding dining establishments. The Station is perhaps the newest addition to the array of places in that area worth a visit when in the Berkshires. Open only since February of 2025, they've taken the train depot in downtown Lee, right on the tracks and next to the river and turned it into a charm venue for what I would call casual fine dining We arrived at our scheduled reservation time. We were promptly greeted and seated by Realyn who would be our server for the evening. On one side of the restaurant is an intimate bar area and on the other, the dining room with various configurations for seating. Realyn brought us a complimentary bottle of sparkling Saratoga water (our choice--sparkling or still) and took our drink orders. We appreciated that while attentive and really affable, Realyn did not rush us through the dining experience. She took our drink orders and brought some freshly baked bread and softened butter. My wife ordered a glass of Pinot Grigio and I ordered a mocktail of Passion Fruit juice, pineapple juice, lime juice, and ginger beer. Beautiful to look at, it tasted great and was really refreshing. I would end up ordering a second. Due to having a late lunch we really didn't have the appetite for appetizers and a main, so we each ordered a main dish, both of which turned out to be enormous platters of food. My wife ordered the whole Branzino. The presentation was gorgeous and the flavors were exceptional. The fish was completely deboned (save for the attached head), the skin crisp and it came with a sauce made from fresh peas, capers, roasted grape tomatoes, fresh figs, and finely minced herbs. I took quite a few tastes--for research purposes--and was very impressed with the freshness of the fish and the accompaniments. I ordered the Winter Duck Ragu. Wow, what amazing flavors. The portion was huge--half the portion would have been more than a suitable size for an entree. It's the sort of dish that once you start to eat, it's difficult to stop. I finally had to ask Realynn to remove my plate because I kept eating. Slow roasted duck mixed with oyster mushroom and winter black truffles in a homemade tomato sauce properly sauced in the kitchen with tagliatelle appropriately infused with Parmesan Reggiano. Every single bite was heavenly and as I said, a real challenge to stop enjoying it. We lingered for a while to finish our drinks and while Raelynn did recount the three tempting desserts available, we passed since both of us were really full. Two years ago when we were staying in Lee we happened to stay at a B&B right across from this old train depot. The B&B is in an old school house and is quite adorable. We wondered why know one was using the old depot for some worthwhile purpose. Well, The Station is doing just that and it's certainly a place we would visit again. read more

One of the best meals of my life. If I could cook chicken like that, it's all I would eat. The house made bbq sauce had a hint of cloves and I just couldn't get enough of it. We were seated outdoors on a shaded porch. It was very comfortable. Service was excellent with a team effort that made certain no table lacked for anything. My wife had the lamb lollipops and it was a generous portion. She also ordered a fruit salad as a starter. The beer menu is short but I was more than happy with the dry Irish nitro stout brewed in South Deerfield. The ladies shared a bottle of a 2024 Sonoma cab that was priced surprisingly reasonable. The food here is really good. And the atmosphere is pretty chic too. They took the smash burger off the menu though, so it's not as casual as I think "gastropub" implies. They don't have draft, but some good beers on the menu - Deep Cuts New England IPA was good. Server was super nice, chill, and efficient. Hopefully they bring the burger back. read more

We had to update our review. We were here a week ago and fell in love with this place. Tonight we decided to spend our last night in the Berkshires at this new and wonderful discovery. Easily the most important addition to the culinary scene in Berkshire County. We thought the Bronzino last time was the epitome, but tonight we tried the Lamb lollipops and the duck Ragu. Over the top excellent. We dined in the caboose just for fun. The service was astounding given that they had to cross in the rain to get to us. Ambience in the caboose was no less impressive than the main dining room. If you're in the Berkshires and you only have one night for dining, make this your stop. read more

Dining at The Station in Lee was a fantastic experience from start to finish. My husband and I had dinner there with another couple and every aspect of our meal was impressive. The food was truly fabulous--my husband ordered the duck ragu and finished every last bite, raving about the flavor. I chose the smash burger, which was cooked perfectly and incredibly satisfying. Our friends were equally pleased: one enjoyed the lamb chops and the other had the shrimp risotto, both of which got glowing reviews. We all began with salads that were fresh and delicious, setting a great tone for the rest of the evening. In addition to the excellent food, the service was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable--and the atmosphere was relaxed and inviting. I highly recommend The Station and am already planning to return very soon. read more

We stopped here after church and we are so glad we did. The interior is similar to the old Sullivan Station with an updated vibe. I started with the french onion soup which was very good and I got a plantain dish that was amazing with hot honey, pomegranate seeds, gorgonzola. Cliff got a steak sandwich which I took a bite (maybe two) that was very tasty and served with home made chips. I'm really glad we stopped. Please check out this chef owned restaurant. Next time, i'm going to go for the clam chowder and a cuban sandwich! This is a great addition to the Lee food scene. read more

The smash burger I was concerned that it didn't have cheese, but wow it was good, make sure to get the jam on it! This is a hidden gem of a restaurant tucked in an old train station behind the Main Street in Lee that really deserves much more patronage. The food is terrific with great options for meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. The service is attentive without being excessive. The prices are appropriate for the offerings. Had dinner here. Excellent food in a fun place. It's an old train station converted into a restaurant, fun decor. We had the Local Greens salad with a side of Tandoori chicken, both were fresh and flavorful. We had the lobster tails for our entree, which were very fresh and came with an interesting vanilla sauce and roasted sweet potatoes. Chairs were comfortable. The meal and the service were both excellent. Our foursome ordered the tagliatelle with duck ragu, pasta with lobster, and the tandoori chicken together with each of the salads on the menu. Wines were reasonably priced. read more

First the ambiance is very nice and staff was fine. So on to food reviews. First the $9 tiny cup of ckam chowder was ridiculously watery with alot of clams, more like a butter water with clam pieces. No t very good and WAY overpriced. The $36 " Brazilian" steak was a 6-8 oz. New York strip, very tough and fatty, and severely OVERCOOKED with a bad Chimichurri sauce. Just NOT a good meal and very overpriced. The menu is decent, but i dont think they can execute the recipes. read more

Service was terrible. My order which took forever to place was incorrect and incomplete.

A massive fail! After a wonderful experience on our previous visit, we returned with friends last night. The kitchen was apparently overwhelmed, according to our server. If they knew they were short-staffed, they should have limited the reservations they took, not made their paying customers have to suffer. Not a single member of our party ended up getting anything they wanted. A full hour after we ordered, our server reappeared to tell us that they were out of what 2 of us had ordered and we would have to select something else. A third member of our party had a food restriction that the kitchen could have easily accommodated but refused to, so they ordered something they didn't really want. And the fourth person found their food so cold and inedible after waiting so long for it to arrive that they sent it back and didn't want to risk ordering a substitute, so ate nothing for dinner. One would have thought that the owner might have stopped by our table to apologize and try to make things right, but alas that didn't happen either, although we did see him speak with other tables. You've lost our business for good! read more
