Took three months from drop off to pick up to install clutch. First month in still hadn't gotten the part but discovered some other smaller things that need to be changed. They fixed the smaller items and finally installed the new clutch three month in. Went to pick up my car and back seat was missing. After some acting oblivious Sheryl got on the phone with someone and was directed to the back of the shop where my back seat was just among some other car parts. Then while she is looking for the backseat I notice my brake rotors have been replaced. I ask why I wasn't notified about this and how much it's gonna cost. Whatever I pay for it cause I just want my car back. Then I ask where my old brake rotors are and again some acting oblivious Sheryl calls again and I'm told they are in the trunk. The brakes they were talking about were for my other car. Some more oblivious acting and they suddenly find brakes. Some more unpleasantness and I leave. I get to my neighborhood and all of a sudden it starts backfiring and not making any power. I call the shop as soon as I get home. They say bring it back in probably just a spark plug. Long story short it's not. Gonna need to telescope to look inside. Week later hey what's going on. Oh still haven't looked inside just been busy with other cars. Sure understandable. Finally check a month after I dropped it off the second time. Yea not a spark plug. We'll open it up and get a look. Another month filled with excuses or non responses. Finally fed up I call and ask when someone is gonna be there so I can go pick up my car. As soon as I indicated I want to pick up my car and take it somewhere else a game of phone tag begins. So obvious they were scrambling. Finally get a time and I call a tow truck. Get there and the owner is there to greet me. First time getting face time with him. Tells me yea the guy that we were gonna have fix it for you is actually ready at his other shop if you wanna just tow it there. No thanks. There were a few other inconsistencies along the whole journey that would make this story much longer. I have all the emails or text. Ripped off and my car never got fixed the whole time. I brought it in for a clutch and left with another problem. Wasted so much of my time. So unprofessional. Sheryl such a nice lady but in the southern way of being nice. Wish I could give zero stars. read more

My son took my ford focus rs in for a tune at this shop. Engine blew while it was there. My son was under 18, doesn't own the car and didn't tell me about the tune. Owner claims my underage son signed a waiver and it's not his problem. He also claims there are known issues with the Focus RS with the engine blowing. That's ok, he still had my son sign a waiver and do the tune anyway. Why do the right thing and turn the minor around and also let him know the car's motor wasn't a good motor to tune? Check out the owner's laughable response on his google reviews page. I can't wait to read his unprofessional response here about how this is all my problem. I paid over $10k to fix the car. I did my part and asked that the owner at least pay a portion of the repairs. He just refused to acknowledge me, sent me his lawyer's name and then both he and his lawyer never responded to my emails. Thankfully I have the financial means to deal with this mess. I paid for my upgraded turbos and labor in full December of 2016, got the car back in nearly September of 2017. It took three months to order my parts which was blamed on the person who manufactures the upgraded turbos (Ben Linney), after being frustrated over the wait I finally reached out to Ben who said the part was never ordered. After excusing Jon (owner) for this and letting bygones be bygones he made no effort to show ownership Of the situation blaming it on a disorganized shop, having bad employees etc. Finally we got the stuff ordered and a few months later I am able to bring my car in (may 2017). I picked my car up in late August about 3-4 months after being told it would take around 3 weeks. From then until the time my engine blew (where a friend read the logs and said there was something that could've been caught) I had reached out to Jon many times trying to get him to send me a map so I could send him logs.. he finally sent me my map a couple weeks before my motor blew... sadly I sent the logs back and he never looked at them. Needless to say I'm disappointed with the service or lack thereof. Jon seemed like a good guy and I hope he gets his shit together with his business. Been a happy customer for over 4 years! Had these guys order and install all of my go fast parts for my Evo 9 plus a tune. In the process they recommended GSC S2 cams, springs and retainers for longevity and more power. Tune went smooth and hurting a lot of feelings :) I sold my Evo 9 a couple of months ago to my friend and picked up his Evo X (which was built and tuned by 5150 Racing) and its running great. Recently they installed a stock frame turbo with EF4 internals, 450 wally pump and DrivenFab catch can. Lots of haters out there so beware when they talk down on this shop. Been a customer since 2014. Despite some of the other reviews, Jon did a great job tuning my car. Even when I had a fuel pump fail, they took care of me. Because of this, I trusted them and I decided to get more work done. In May 2016, I dropped my 2011 Evo X off to get engine work and other expensive modifications done (and like an idiot, I paid cash up front). They still have my car. Yep, you read that right. Over 4 and a half years later they they still have my car and money. I tried to call and email them literally hundreds of times over the years. In late 2016-2018, I was getting vague and contradictory excuses but around late 2018 they completely vanished on me. I have a pretty damning email chain to prove it too. It got so bad that I had an attorney send a certified demand letter to their business address when they were there. Those letters were received and ignored--yep, I have proof of that too. Jon hasn't returned a phone call or email to explain the situation and/or offer my money back. I don't even know if any work was done on the car over these years because no one will talk to me. Why do you ignore me but have time to post memes on your Facebook page? To make matters worse, they kept moving locations. I served on three military deployments during this time period (total 2 years overseas) so I couldn't keep up with all their relocations. I still can't find my car or my money because they don't post their address and will not talk to me. I never make my business public but I am at wit's end. If this continues, I have to pursue legal action. Reading the other comments has made me pretty sad to see that other people are getting the run around too. Jon--if you see this, I just want my car and money back. No harm no foul. I had great service in the past but there's no excuse for treating me like this now. I understand COVID is a thing but I just want to move on. You have my email and number. This could have been all avoided with a simple phone call. read more

Jon is a very knowledgeable tuner. He's custom tuned my Evo X, GTI, and Golf R. In the case of my Volkswagens, he made more power, substantially more low end torque, and the cars had superior drivability when compared to the competition. So much of the VW aftermarket tuning community uses one-size-fits-all canned tunes. Jon custom tunes your car based on datalogs you send to him. I'm faster than my friends with these canned tunes while not sacrificing any reliability. I'd call that a win/win! read more

5150 has done a great job once again. They tuned my RS Oct of 2017. I made 345whp/397wtq on just simple bolt ons at 28psi. Ran the RS fine until I sold it in the summer of 2018. I bought an evo and had it tuned by Jon in dec. 2018. Everything is running great. I can not say enough how great Jon and his team at 5150 is. Extremely helpful. All my questions are usually answered by Alex or Jon. Jon's techs worked on my evo and got the parts installed really quick to prepare for the tune. I am quite satisfied with 5150 and their services. Jon at 5150 does an incredible job with tuning. Don't fret the fake reviewers, he had an angry customer that messed his own car up, and decided to go all pitchfork on his business. There are lots of VWs in our MK7 group, including mine, that have been graced with Jon's expertise, and zero complaints. While the guy may be very busy, he finds the time to do necessary revisions with every single person he has tuned. The amount of effort that 5150 puts in every day... and with the number of cars Jon tunes, there's always gonna be a bad apple. Came here to get my Subaru STi tuned by Jon, I had an appointment scheduled at 3pm and apparently everyone in the shop took a lunch break from 2:30-3:45. I got my car tuned and it seemed to drive nice until my turbo kept over boosting and the car kept kicking into limp mode with a check engine light. After trying to contact Jon for about 2 months he finally sent me a revised tune which still did not fix the over boosting. I must always keep an eye on my boost gauge and be careful to let off the gas when I see the turbo boosting higher than it should. I continued to try and contact them but they have just completely stopped responding to me. They will never answer their phone so don't even bother. They really have zero customer service skills and do not care about their customers. I spent a lot of money for the tune and they have no intentions on making things right. Wish I would've read their yelp reviews before going to them. FIND A DIFFERENT TUNER FOR YOUR CAR!!! If they ever make things right I will be sure to update my review. read more

I took my 2015 EVO X to get tuned at 5150 Racing on 9-20-19. My appointment was for 12pm (noon) After talking to Ian ( their sales guy ). I was going to purhcase there flex fuel kit ( which Jon didnt tell my Iphone cannot download the app since its Android system Bluetooth software ) , WALBRO 450 fuel pump, Terpha V3 software and get a flex fuel tune. I arrived at 5150 racing at 12pm. No one at the shop. I waited for about about 15-20 mins before Ian arrived. At that point he told me Jon was eating somewhere and offered us to go. Which i told him no and my appointment was at 12. So after waiting about an hour and a half. Jon arrives. He does not even greet me. Mind you i am the only customer there. I had to go up to him to start a conversation. Jon thought he had a flex fuel kit in stock which he did not or a fuel pump. So he took them out of a customers car to install on my car So i use a used flex fuel kit and i think a new Fuel pump they took that from another customer project. After the tuning was done. Jon did not drive my car at all on the street and told me go ahead and take it for a drive. I do not live in this area. I did 2 light pulls and headed back to my hotel where i took my family down to LA for a trip. I did not get to test the car till i got back home which is a 4 and a hlaf hour drive back north. Once i got back home i was able to do some real pulls and link gears together and found i had a huge fuel/ spark cut issues. Also my car is seeing 32PSI on the stock turbo. i emailed Jon and Ian on 9-23-19. I heard back from Ian asking for data logs but never heard from Jon at all which is the tuner. I asked a ton of questions and called the shop which i never got a call back from Jon. I got the logs done and emailed on 10-8-19. After all my questions i asked Jon finally replied to my emails "ill check out the logs" that was it. NOTHING else. He never answered any on my questions. Jon emailed me back on 12-2-19 with an updated map. I flashed it to my car and the car still has the same issues as well now the car while driving is going lean and WOT AF are 13s. I emailed jon again on 10-10-19. Jon did not write anything back to me at all or say another about the logs i sent him. He sent me a blank email with a new map. Still the same issue i had with cruising and linking gears hitting this huge spark cut. emailed Jon again on 10-12-19. He replies on 10-19-19 stating there are issues with the V3 ROms and having this spark cut issues and we was going to send me a new ROM and questioned if my fuel pump that he sold me was bad. So this has been now 2 MONTHS since my car left his shop and the issue was not solved at all. I contact my bank and disputed the charge Since i was trying to call and email Jon and it hard to get a hold of him ( see other reviews with the same issues i have ) The bank asked me to contact Jon which i tried to do for him to make it right and he has yet to respond to me. I would never suggest anyone to go to his shop at all from the customer support Him or his employees offer paying customers. No i have a car that is not tuned correct and i have to pay again for a different tuner. I also did not mention i paid $400.00 cash and $650 on my debit card. i was going to eat the $400.00 cash but i feel he needs to refund me most of the tuning fees. Take your car somewhere else and read the review before contacting this shop. Jon is not a man of his word and very disappointed with his customer service for not trying to help me out when i asked so many questions to try to fix the issue before contacting my bank. Not sure if the bank will help at all. Even if i don't get my $650 back i guess my loss can be another customers gain to not take there car here for issues with this shop. I reached out to Jon and Ian and last friday via email and still have not heard back to see if he found refund some of my money for my tune still not being fixed Nor do i want him to touch ny car any more. i just wants some tuning fees back and moving on. I had a lot of problems with my Evo X so I shipped it down to 5150 from Seattle based on feedback from people on forums. Pretty big leap to take but everyone vouched for their work. They did a great job rebuilding the engine and giving me a solid tune and then on my way out of town my turbo blew up due to a factory fault. Jon, Mike, and Ralph stayed at their shop the next day until 1:00AM to get a new turbo put into the car and get me back on the road so I could drive home to Washington. They've definitely outgrown their current building so their shop is a little crowded but their customer service is the absolute best and Jon is the top tuner around for Evo 10s. You can tell they really care about you and your car. They picked me up from the airport when I landed and got me to a hotel for the night when the turbo blew. I'd recommend these guys to anyone who needs their Evo 10 tuned. read more

GOING TO Bureau of Automotive tomorrow to try and find HELP in any way possible to get threw this mess.... I was lied to and said my turbo was bad and i needed a new setup, come to find out nothing was wrong with my turbo to begin with...... i spent 40k at this shop and BOOM!!!!! motor blew and car burst into flames 2 days later when we were testing the car for the first time!!! it was due to engine not getting enough oil pressure even though me and a previous employee told them to put a oil pressure sensor which would have saved the engine..... I PAID $3,500 FOR A SYVECS ENGINE CONTROL UNIT (ECU) WHICH IS CAPABLE OF MONITORING OIL PRESSURE AND WILL ACTUALLY CUT THE ENGINE POWER IN THE EVENT OF THE PRESSURE DROPPING, THE (ECU) DID NOT DO ITS JOB DUE TO THE SHOPS FAILURE TO INSTALL A $50-$100 SENSOR WHICH WOULD ALLOW THE (ECU) TO DO ITS JOB!!!!! The only help i was offered by the shop was a used block..... i was mistreated and lied to!!!!! They will do anything to convince people that they are rite and the customer is wrong!!!! REGARDLESS OF HOW RITE THE CUSTOMER IS...... i asked for them to help with cost of repair after all i did spend 40k at their shop... The answer was NOPE.... i asked if they can help with half the cost of repair and the answer was NOPE!!!!! so i am taking all action necessary to prevent good people from being treated in this kind of way!!!!! it is the worst feeling in the world to be mistreated this way!!!! i paid for a clutch and 5 months later i was told that clutch has not arrived and so the owner thought it would be better to install a different brand USED clutch..... They assumed it would be a better fit for me even though that was not what i paid for........ (I DID NOT ASK FOR THAT USED CLUTCH I DID NOT PAY FOR THAT USED CLUTCH!!! WHAT I PAID FOR IS WHAT I WAS SUPPOSED TO GET!!!!!!) car was promised to be ready beginning of december and then January and then February ext.... out of frustration i kept on trying to take my car out of their shop but every time they found a way by giving me hope that the car is a few days away from being done.... but took them until end of april to give me the car and then BOOOOOOM!!!!!!! VERY VERY BAD FEELING WHEN YOU PAY $40,000 AND THEN THEY BASICALLY SHOW YOU THE DOOR!!!!! also have people telling me they got my money and started working on other peoples cars as my car sat there for weeks and months!!!!!! much more to this story and i know they are going to reply to this comment just to try and cover their ass but the TRUTH IS ONLY ONE!!!! they are going to talk about me and friends trying to leave bad comment but the truth is i don't know any of the people that are putting comments.... If I could give this place 0 stars I would. After waiting for a month for new turbos. My turbos blew out within the same week i had received my car back. When i told Jon about the issue he offered to take a look at he car but was busy and wouldnt be able to until the following week. After waiting and having the car towed to the shop, they finally looked at it (charging for the labor ofcourse). Both my turbos we're blown ( which I assumed already). They said it was because of clogged injectors and carbon build up but mind you my engine has only 27k miles. I offered to pay labor hours and also a engline cleanse as long as they got me new turbos in which they said no however they had the decency to charge me parking fee for the two weeks i had the car there until i was able to take it to another shop as i waited for new parts.. The shop is ran by amateur mechanics. I do not recommend to anyone. read more
