He booked me for the next morning and by the end of the day I was able to pick up my ride. He runs a clean cool looking shop. The prices were very reasonable and they did great work! I scheduled the appointment to have a 12.3 Android Car Play unit in my Mercedes-Benz. I showed up this morning and met with Arian, a true professional at his trade as well as a kind, honest and knowledgeable individual. The shop is meticulously maintained and has a vast array of tools, work bench areas, awesome LED ceiling lighting, a waiting area, front office and conference/training room. This shop and team of professionals are a class act. Arian explained the installation process and timeline and I was quite impressed. The Rolls Royce in the shop that was getting customized with lighting and sound was a testament to the quality of work that Arian, Sam and the other team members provide when you bring your car into the shop. Arian called me when the car was completed and when I arrived gave me a very thorough orientation on the features, modes and operational functionality of the new unit. Very impressive and truly a plus when you have such a professional take the time to show you the details and functions of the new unit. Sam was in the shop as well as was amazing. The original seat was manufactured very oddly with curves of the seat that was digging into my tailbone and causing severe pain in my back all the way down my leg. This company modified my seat to perfection and it is now completely evened and comfortable. They didn't rush the job and made sure I was happy. My seat was a pain in the ass (literally) to work with and they worked hard on my seat and went above and beyond for me. The last visit I had with my Land Cruiser was urgent as one of my transmission hoses ruptured rending it undrivable. Frank/Eric were proactive and allowed me to tow my LC to them to figure out the issue the next day (they were closing at the time I called). After parts were received on their end, my Land Cruiser was up and running back to normal. They inspected and test for any damage to the transmission that may have occurred when losing all of my transmission fluid. I am happy to have found a shop with a good work ethic, friendliness and thoroughness that is local to me in Santa Ana. 10/10 would recommend if you have a offroad vehicle or a Toyota (I am sure they are proficient with other vehicles as well).

Insurance was covering, so price really wasn't an issue dor me. They aren't cheap, but they do amazing work. Turn around time was laid out in front of me, and they met the goal. It was a LONG process (read 1.5 months); if I didn't have a provided rental it may have affected my rating, but I did have one. Everything with the insurance process, getting me to/from the rental location, communication with me and the adjustor, and workmanship were all top notch. Ran into some issues on first attempt at a pick up, but they rectified it with fixing the issue, as well as transportation and delivery to the Irvine location. I then had wheels installed at the performance shop in Irvine. Again, it wasn't cheap, but they met all expectations. Shout out to Issa, Luis, Josh and all the of the SSR team that worked on my vehicle. If owners of high end luxury cars and supercars trust SSR, you should to. At that time, I felt it was a great option. This time, however, my experience was different. I am not sure whether it is because prices have gone up, but the tire looked repairable to me. Still, they told me it could not be patched and that I needed to buy a used tire instead. Since I was already there and the work needed to be done, I ended up paying $60 for a used tire. What disappointed me most was that I originally thought I would be able to keep my old tire and take it home, because I believed I could patch it myself and keep it as a spare. In the end, that was not how it worked. Their used tire replacement process meant they kept my original tire and gave me another used tire in exchange. So it did not really feel like I was simply buying a used tire for $60. It felt more like I was trading in my old tire, which did not even have a hole that obvious to me, and still paying $60 on top of that. The service was done quickly, but the overall experience left me feeling less satisfied than before. Next time, I would definitely compare prices and ask more questions at a few other shops before making a decision.on the car

We reached out to Arnold for a pre-purchase inspection. While six other places quoted us $250-$350 for a "comprehensive" inspection, we paid Arnold $100, which was a STEAL for what he did, even more than what the others promised. He spent at least two hours thoroughly checking the vehicle, test driving it and walking us through every detail so we truly understood its condition. We were looking at buying an Audi Q4 e-tron that had a damage report. A reputable dealership told us it was "minor" and offered to take it to the mechanic for our peace of mind. After browsing Yelp and reading the amazing reviews, we decided to come here instead and I'm so glad we did. I had already done my due diligence and familiarized myself with the vehicle and potential issues. I asked Arnold very specific, technical questions that I already knew the answers to. He answered every single one with clarity and confidence and everything I was expecting to hear. My husband stayed the entire time, and Arnold patiently explained everything while inspecting the car. You can tell he was that kid that made the auto shop his playground growing up. He's passionate, meticulous, and GENUINELY cares. What impressed me most is that Arnold will never pressure you. He won't tell you "don't buy it," but he will clearly explain what could go wrong and what it might cost to fix. When I pressed him for his honest opinion, he said he personally wouldn't buy it at the listed price but if we negotiated it lower, then it might be worth considering. That level of honesty is RARE. Update, its 1/4/22 and still have not got anything from Jon the owner of 5150 racing, he claims hes gonna get me taken care of but almost 4 years and nothing.. THIS COMPANY NEED TO BE SHUTDOWN BY THE BBB.... Hey guys, just wanna update everyone in this group, that Jon drenas and 5150 racing have still yet not refunded me the $4300 that was sent to him on dec1st 2017, they stole from me for a EFR kit I never received. I made a post back in 2018, and stuff got brought up again a year ago In 2020 that looks like got deleted.... He claims in the post that he's working on getting me taken care of and refunded, (WE ALL know that's BS) , the post is still on the evo x forums on FB but comments have just been turned off since seems like some of the admins defend bad/thieving shops, or probably his buddy whatever. Here are some proof of the transactions etc etc, fair warning to do your homework on the shop you are wanting to get a tune or turbo kit/ engine build from. Make sure you don't do friends and family even if someone may vouch from them. I'm hoping people will not take their car to this dishonest shop, and by now people realize the truth about this thief. I still have lots of documentation I could blast on here, but y'all get the gist. For anyone who wants to doubt this, look at the google reviews, i have picture documentation of Jon claiming he's gonna get this resolved with me but yet nothing still... STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!! My experience with Jon and 5150 racing has been Astonishing. The communication between the team and Jon with their customers is the worst. 0 stars if possible, On top of that been waiting on a turbo kit for 18 weeks, that normally takes 8-12 week to build, and got no valid reason as to what happened to the kit so i asked for a refund, and been waiting now for a month now. Jon will not return the money, and will not return any communication to me, so for that i say., stay far away from these thief's. Edit: 9/11/18, Have been going back and forth with PP and the Credit Card company, still fighting and have not received my refund. Jon claims he has other issues going on and that he would send it , but i know that is a lie. Jon and 5150 racing stole my money, and will not refund it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE GUYS TO ANYONE. BUNCH OF liars. Update 5/19/19- Jon states on google review, face book messages etc, that he will get me taken care of, swore he would either get me the kit or my money back, well that has not happened. Jon hasn't communicated with me since over a year ago. I still have not received my turbo kit, nor my money back. I don't understand why anyone would wanna do business with a thief / business like this. Learn the hard way, or roll the dice and get lucky. read more

Ordered a Turbo kit for my Evo x on 11/27/17. Never received it, kept getting the run around how its the manufacturer (Full Race) fault, after 13/14 weeks finally asked Jon the owner of 5150 racing, to just give me a refund, got tired of the BS run around, and he said he would. Its 9/11/18 and i still HAVE NOT, received my refund, been fighting with PP and the Credit card company, Legal action will be on its way. The messed up part about all this is, if he would have just sent me the refund, i would have just walked away and forgot this shitty transaction/ company, but the fact that Jon seems to be ok with screwing people out of their hard earned money, just isnt right. I don't seem to be the only person this guy has screwed, so i would beware to ALL, This company is full of lieing, cheating, dis-honest business people. Just look at this reviews all over the web, numerous people complain on how hes screwed them. This business needs to be shutdown by the BBB. Im sure he's taken care of certain customers, but its not ok to sell a product, and not deliver. There was no proof of tracking number, and i have proof of $$ sent. Yet no refund. The business owner Jon Drenas, is a lying, stealing thief. I would stay very far away from this shop, as it seems like he had good work in the past years, but the past few months he seems to have got a new team that cannot preform correctly, or his business values and ethics have changed over time. I did a build with him that lasted 3 months, due to no loctite on the bolts, and studs, caused my head gasket to blow, that brought damage to my head, and ended up finishing with a throw rod and 2 cylinders ended up having scars. Think very hard before going to this shop, as it would surprise me if they get shutdown by the BBB here in a few months. read more

Worst experience ever, Jon's communication skills are the worst i've ever seen in a business, his team is just as bad, worst of all hes a stealer and liar. He tuned my car, and the engine blew 2 weeks later. On top of that, i've had two buddies order turbo kits, and they never have received them, and its been a complete nightmare to get a refund which should only take no more than a few days, but instead has drag'd on too months. I had Jon tune my 2016 mk7 golf r with an upgraded turbo and he did an amazing job. I couldn't be more happy with it. It runs so much better than my prior APR tune. I can definitely say I see why this man has the reputation of an awesome tuner that he does. I have had a great experience working with Jon and 5150 team. I live in Northern California but opted to travel all the way down south to get a turbo installed and tuned due to Jon being the go to Cobb protuner for the MK7. For those of you out there looking for the absolute best of the best, it's SVC. For those of you out there looking for the top innovation, better performance, durability, engineering, craftsmanship, and integrity, it's SVC. Over the past year I've purchased 7 products from SVC for my Gen 3 F-150 Raptor - Tie rods, UCA's, coil adjuster, upper and lower links + panhard, and the intercooler. After each SVC product was installed, it was like I was driving an entirely different truck - a far superior truck. You can feel the difference instantly - both in the dirt, and on the pavement. But let me tell you, this company doesn't just have the best products, they've got THE BEST costumer service. I recently had the pleasure of taking my truck to their HQ for some installs. It was awesome getting to meet the team and see how and where the magic happens. It's my opinion, and many-many others who I've spoken to, that SVC has NO competition, because they're in a league of their own. If you truly want the absolute best, it's SVC. It's obvious Jarrett, SVC's Owner, is only doing this because of his love and passion for off-roading. And Colin, who's the head of sales, goes above and beyond. I'm that person who always has a lot of questions and needs things explained, well Colin is able to articulate the "why" and "how" of a product in a way I understand. Since the day I reached out to SVC, Colin has personally guided me in the right direction. It's because of his recommendations, I have one badass and very capable Raptor. Jeff, the operations manager, knows more about these vehicles than any other person on planet earth. He's an absolute Jedi when it comes this stuff. I had a noise coming from my truck, so I took it to several places in SoCal, and NO one was able to figure it out. I think it took Jeff all of about thirteen seconds to diagnose the issue. And Jack, the Tech who did my most recent installs, didn't just treat my truck like it was just another job. You could tell he worked on my truck with care and patience. And boy did it pay off, he gave me back a truck I feel completely confident in, to go rip it up in the dirt. And for the cherry on top - Colin, Jeff, & Jack noticed a few things that needed to be tightened, fixed, even replaced - things that had nothing to do with my installs, but they did it anyway. I can't thank this company enough for all of the hard work they do. They looked and said it would be $125/hour to diagnose the issue with no idea on how long it would take. I agreed and asked if they can do a discount at the end. He then told me off and said that the vibe wasn't right. He followed with saying "thanks but no thanks"! I understand if they don't want to work on a car for any reason (not their specialty, don't know the problem, don't like the car, whatever...) but that's no reason to disrespect someone who's trusting them with their car and is paying them a lot of money. Believe it or not, paying someone $125/hour indefinitely is not a bargain and getting paid to work on my car is not a favor. I recommend skipping dealing with them altogether and just going somewhere else. The OC mechanic down the street is nice, they talk to you like a human being and they actually care.

During this process, I was communicating with my assigned service advisor, but responses were often delayed, unclear, or evasive; messages went unanswered, questions were redirected, and clear answers were difficult to obtain. When I brought the truck back, it was described as "just a loose axle" and claimed fixed, yet no documentation was provided proving that the differential or internal gears were inspected after I had driven it for an hour while leaking. Their claim that "there is no problem" or "everything is fine" is something no reasonable person could trust. With re-gear work, any mistake or improper setup often only becomes apparent after several thousand miles of driving. This is why a formal guarantee is not just a request, but a necessity. When I requested a formal written warranty, they only gave me a $0 invoice with no actual warranty terms or duration.
