After eating dinner at 5280 Burger, I had to try out the ice cream! I did learn after ordering that you can order ice cream to your table in the restaurant. I am surprised this is not listed as one of the first things on the dining menu. I like that there were unique flavors to choose from such as campfire marshmallow and blackberry. I am not into boozed ice cream but there are many options for this type of treat on the menu! I ordered mint chocolate chip (my favorite) and strawberry ice cream for a create your own sundae. Both flavors were good. They were not mind blowing. The server working there did allow free samples. I always appreciate that. I did not like how the people waiting to eat in the restaurant were sitting and standing in the ice cream parlor. There was no where for me to sit or stand in the parlor to eat my sundae. That was a huge turn off for me. I would not go out of my way to eat ice cream here. I preferred my experience and food at the 5280 restaurant over the 5280 ice cream parlor.

Double Scoop (~$5) in Homemade Waffle Cone (+$1.50): with Caramelized Banana (B) and Oreo (T) flavors.

Ordered: Double Scoop (~$5) in Homemade Waffle Cone (+$1.50): with Caramelized Banana and Oreo flavors. Aya's take: I thought I was full from having dinner next door at 5280 Burger Bar but then I saw 5280 Ice Cream on my way out and unlocked my second stomach after seeing they had 2 of my favorite flavors. One thing about me is if there's banana, I'm getting it. Paired with Oreo, I absolutely need it. The banana flavor tasted like true banana fruit and the Oreo, although being chocolate-based, had plenty of Oreo chunks in there and the chocolate wasn't too rich. Considering I had just eaten, I should've done without the waffle cone, which in my opinion, was just average. I'd probably recommend just getting a cup and saving those extra calories. If you're grabbing burgers next door, it's only right to finish off strong with some ice cream and shakes (which you can also get at the burger bar to go with your meal).

5280 Ice Cream is a small ice cream shop in the Pavilions. It's affiliated with the 5280 Burger Bar next door, but it's a separate space. Small amount of indoor and outdoor seating. They honored the Yelp check-in offer (1 free scoop in a cup).

Service was great and ice cream wasn't terribly sweet, so win win!! Stop in for a visit if you are ever in the pavilion shopping area.

The aroma of this ice cream shop is ecstatic while walking into the restaurant. Service: the staff is very friendly and patient since there was a group of 12 people with me, all very eager to try the amazing flavors. Food: the ice cream here is creamy and delicious it is hand made as well. The Oreo and pumpkin flavor were my favorite but I ended up getting Oreo because it's my absolute favorite. The Oreo flavor has cookies inside which makes it crunchy and creamy. The single scoop of ice-cream is huge and can easily be shared between 2 people. Overall I loved this ice cream shop and if I'm ever in Denver I will definitely return.

Feeling snackish and craving sugar, so I popped in while on a business trip from out of town. I just got a single scoop in a cone, and it was so great! Especially for the price. Perfect sugar bite to eat.

Got to try 5280 ice cream for dessert after getting a burger from their neighbor 5280 burger bar. The ice cream was good but nothing special, I still need to find an ice cream that can beat sweet cow. I went with their special flavors of the day, peanut butter M&M and the chocolate chip brownie. The M&M was the better choice of the two. The chocolate was a bit dark and didn't deliver the sweet rush I was hoping for. A good place to grab dessert if you are close by but wouldn't drive all the way for this ice cream. Here are my ratings; M&M peanut butter: 7.5/10 Chocolate chip brownie: 7/10

Oreo on the left, strawberry on the right. Delicious

Is the circus in town? Is it the Fourth of July? New Year's Eve?…read more Sure, they serve ice cream, and they have unique flavors, and the ice cream is delicious. But you can get really good ice cream almost anywhere. Heck, go to almost any grocery store and you can get Ben and Jerry's which still makes great ice cream with unique flavors. But how many ice cream shops have a zillion people either eating ice cream or standing in line or dancing to live music? None that I have seen before. This place is an absolute scene. By the way, the dancing was swing dancing, which isn't something you just decide to do (it takes a very long time to get good). Now, there are two lines. First, there is the interior line (inside the main fence) that is really, really long but you get more flavor options. The second exterior line is just really long (as opposed to really, really long) and is outside the gate with fewer flavor options. We went for the exterior line and it moved along nicely. Sure, you can get great ice cream almost anywhere but this place is a unique place. You can enjoy the live music and dancing while you wait in the longer than average lines. The atmosphere is pure joy. I would return again and again.

Come for the vibe, but not necessarily for the bestest ice cream you'll ever have.

We…read morestumbled upon this little gem completely by accident while visiting the Natural History Museum, and honestly? Best accidental discovery of my entire trip to Denver. This tiny, adorable hole-in-the-wall shop is everything you want in a neighborhood ice cream spot -- warm, welcoming, unpretentious, and run by two of the most genuinely lovely women I've ever encountered in the food service industry. From the moment our group of six walked in, we felt like we'd been coming here for years. They were patient, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about every single thing they make. Now let me talk about the ICE CREAM, because wow. Six people, multiple flavors between us, and not one single complaint -- which if you know my family, is basically a miracle. Everything was rich, creamy, and tasted completely homemade in the best possible way. But the thing that absolutely sent me over the edge? BANANA PUDDING. Multiple banana pudding options. I grew up in the South and I have been low-key grieving the lack of banana pudding culture everywhere else I've lived, and here it is -- in Denver, Colorado -- done absolutely right. I may have embarrassed myself slightly. No regrets. This is a Black woman-owned business and these two have built something truly special. It's family-friendly, it's joyful, and it has that rare quality of feeling like a place that was made with real love. If you're anywhere near the museum, you would be genuinely doing yourself a disservice to walk past this place. Go in. Get the banana pudding. Thank me later.
