My recent obsession being nothing but elotes these days, accidentally finding the Elotes Biscuits at Little Finch downtown was a nice surprise to state the least. As of mid June 2026, these savory treats are fairly priced at $4.25. Dense and yet they still hold the nice fluffiness, the restaurant certainly does a great job of making these taste exactly like the typical elotes you can find at any (Mexican) restaurant. I could have gotten more than one although I was disciplined enough to resist my urge. For a downtown restaurant (LOL!), they keep the cleanliness in check. I found this place trying to avoid the cold and wait for my sister to get off of work. The hot chocolate was extremely yummy and just what I needed to warm up. I also bought my sister and I cookies: the sea salt chocolate and oatmeal. I loved the sea salt more, and my sister loved the oatmeal more. But, honestly, they were both great options. My salad is absolutely delicious! And that's a pretty decent price ($11) for everything in this. Fresh fruit cheese nuts and of course the greens. I'm very pleased with it. Little Finch is lovely! Located in bustling downtown but still keeps a cozy cafe vibe. We came in the summer but I bet it's great in the winter with that fireplace going. Decently sized outdoor patio. Staff was friendly and spot was clean. We both had the Bleeker Street cocktails (think Manhattan) and each enjoyed it. Nice and strong but still flavorful beyond booze. We also split a slice of carrot cake which was delicious (though I'd vote for having cream cheese frosting) - would totally get that again. Had no trouble finding a spot to park our stroller where my husband and I could also relax. I will say it could have used more outlets - especially along the front wall that looks ripe for those wanting to get some work done. I'd also love to see a changing table in one of the bathrooms. Loved this place!! Cute corner spot with lots of windows and natural light, warmly decorated with industrial lighting fixtures and furniture with wood tones. Decent enough amount of seating, someone was leaving as we were sitting so our party of 5 was able to push a couple small tables together and have a nice place to sit. I ordered the roasted carved turkey and fig sandwich - delicious. The sourdough bread added a little texture and the fig jam was the perfect accent to the fresh warm turkey. I also had a cinnamon roll which was its own flaky crispy style and so delicious, as well as a peppermint shaken espresso - everything was perfect. Burrito needed hot sauce but was good and good size. Service was friendly. About $31 for everything. only suggestion is all the hot sauce containers need a good cleaning. The sides and tops of all of them were kinda gross for such a nice place. Ok so one more thing. I noticed they were bringing some people's food and drinks out and others they just called their names. Just went for lunch and ordered the Cubano sandwich. It was ready in two minutes, which was a concerningly short amount of time. It felt like it had just been reheated, which is fine but something about this sandwich was off. Every ingredient had the same herbal cleaning supply taste. The pork was just gross fat that tasted like it had been sitting for a couple days. The pickles were contrastingly cold and flavorless. The only upside to it was maybe the bread. It was flaky and warm, but it still had that weird off taste to it. I will say the pastries and coffee looked great plus there were a lot of people in there. Came in with the family due to the reviews and pictures. We really wanted to like this joint. We did love the space and decor, very tastefully done! I approached this review from the point of view that my wife and I are home cooks/bakers (who throw home parties and are part-time caterers) and my son being a chef. We reluctantly ordered, seeing that some of the food is pre-made and just being heated. I ordered the smoked salmon tartine, which was rubbery and the toast was cold and soft. She ordered the blueberry scone, it was hard and somehow lacked blueberry flavor. We didn't finish it and threw it away. Very busy cafe near Union Station in downtown Denver. Good space for working or socializing. I got a soy milk latte that was just okay. I also bought a huge slice of GF (gluten free) chocolate zucchini bread that I really enjoyed. They had some Vegan and GF pastries options (but maybe only one thing or none that was both.) price was on the steep side I'd say: my 12 oz hot latte with soy milk ($1 extra for alt milk) and no syrups ended up at over $7 after tax and livable wage charge but before tip. I found "Little Finch" by serendipity...literally wanting dessert, and making a turn to "see where this road takes me" and found this very lovely cafe. Probably the best, most lovely cafe I've visited in a long while. I visited very late in the day and they still had some pastries left ! Bought two that looked and sounded awesome but there were plenty (left) to chose from...if I was at all thinking rationally I should have bought one pastry because they both looked rich and more than capable of satisfying my sweet tooth craving ! The two I bought: The "Nutella pop tart " was a delicious and decadent rendition of the pop tarts I grew up on. In fact so decadent..I couldn't finish it during that sitting. The "Vegan date bar", has the texture of fudge...so, so good... as any dessert I've had in a while...great texture, flavor and sweetness. I also got an Americano, to wash it all down, that had a wonderful chocolate note...served in a mug that reminded me of one I had a home. This place is one of my favorite cafes, with well rounded offerings from coffee, alcoholic beverages, wine, fresh pressed juices, food, pastries and cakes. What really stands out for me are their cakes. I've tried every single one with the chocolate fudge being my ultimate must have at least once a month. Yes they re pricy for their size, but packed with quality and taste out of this world. Definitely a must try, and don't forget to let it sit out to acclimate to room temperate before engulfing. Their flatbreads are a great choice as well. They have a plethora of coffee drinks from classics to specialty ones. I typically stick to espressos, Americanos, or drip coffee, but I tried the Cafe De Olla and actually enjoyed it. The service is always delightful and pleasant. The interior is comfortable and well lit, and very modern with a warm finish. There is ample seating inside and out. My fiancee used to love the Cafe De Olla we would have to limit ourselves how much times we got it for her, she states it hasn't been good the past 4-5 times. When we first got here we thought the added gratuity was truly to help businesses get back on their feet after the pandemic. Now its just added gratuity.. pay the workers their salary we shouldn't be paying them for you. The prices are already steep to be adding gratuity & adding for a tip seems outrageous especially for the recent mediocrity in coffee & customer service. Also, if gratuity is immediately added into my bill, I expect cleaner bathrooms & PLEASE keep up with the outside dining tables!?!? Sweet spot i walked past once when grabbing boba close by, popped in on the way to a haircut. The croissant was spongy which isn't my favorite texture when it comes to those pastries. But the quiche that the cashier recommended was awesome: fluffy yet smooth egg with a nice cheesy, feta tartness that punches your nose is the best of ways, and some veges in there to boot. I'm excited to try this s'more thing i saw in the pastry display - the thing is as tall as the short end of this ipad mini i make all this wordage you are reading. Starting at the top of this construction is normal s'more architecture, graham cracker and an above average sized marshmallow, then there's like a brownie and I think a graham cracker crust on the bottom. I hope they heat it to melt the marshmallow but we'll see. All staff there were welcoming. There is a (30?) minute limit on wi-fi. Also, the place turns into a bar at night.
