When the director passed suddenly last year I think we all wondered whether the gallery would continue with the high quality fine artists we expected when we came to visit and buy from artists recognized as the finest. I'm happy to report that the gallery is even better! Colin Thomson, godson of the owner we all knew, is the new director and has put on spectacular show after show all season. (And if you have a chance the new Hodges Soileau exhibit is just wonderful! Go!! The staff, Tom, Chelsea, and Colin know their stuff or will find out what you need ....helpful, smart, and listens to their clients and artists. I ended up getting some Christmas gifts here. I stopped by the Sarasota Honey Company and the customer service was great and they let me try some of the honeys. I ended up buying a few jars because they were really good! They have a good selection of honeys, I just wish there was more plastic packaging instead of glass because glass can break more easily. The market also had live music and a food truck in the back and a raffle going on. There was a lot of cool things to see at this market and I'll definitely stop by again.

Her space is beautifully lit and decorated, it feels like it's out of a high-end magazine but very warm and inviting. She helped me pick a painting out for my home and I've also commissioned her to create another painting that is custom to my room's decor and colors. It was kind of a hidden treasure for me, as I often miss going into the KMI Bldg. in downtown Venice. This is located across the main street parking area of Centennial Park. Try it.
