Service was outstanding, the decor is cool but you always wonder how much dust is falling off all the stuff on the ceiling. Food was average. Not a lot of flavor. Love this place. Sit in the bar area, order a cocktail and watch a game! Such a great local spot, like a Cheers bar. The staff is friendly and engaging and their food is yummy. Sit with Ashley and Dee at the bar or sit with Justin or Matt at the bar side tables. If your jam is the dining room, ask for Gracie. We are at this place 2-3 a week for dinner or happy hour and it's always fun! First visit to this location. Got there just in time for lunch prices (til 3) I ordered a cheeseburger/fries. Burger was as ordered, fries weren't as cripsy as i would have liked. Ate the good ones, saved the rest of my calories for the burger. Good flavor, fresh bun. My husband ordered the potato platter(whatever it's called) and had that and salad. I'm not much of a chain guy, but I had a good experience at 54th Street. Service was good, the bar area is large, and an outdoor patio patio provides some relief seating when crowds are large. I met my brother here for drinks and we ended up ordering wings. The wait on Friday at 6 was about 4 minutes. The staff behind the host stand was friendly enough but a little distracted when we first walked up. They also asked for my mobile number to text me when the table was ready, which I find invasive. I gave it anyway cuz there was no other way to know when my table would be ready. Despite that, we found a table in the bar area and ordered drinks. We were comfortable enough we just stayed there and ordered food. I'm doing keto at the moment, so I went with an order of wings, half garlic Parmesan and half Cajun rub. The flavor was delicious, and the ten wings were ample to fill me up. Notable to mention was the coolest sink fixtures I've ever seen. a strange claim, I know. But, they were high tech and awesome. The water was hot, which was a welcome thaw form the cooler temperature in the dining room. The only weirdness was that the presence of hand dryer in sink would cause people to have to wait rather than moving the traffic away to a separate hand dryer while the next person uses the sink. Not an issue when I was in there, so maybe I'm over thinking. I can't drink beer while I'm doing keto, but was pleased to see a large selection of taps. Maybe next time I'll sample a few. Parking was kinda crappy as I had to park all the way around the back of the building. More spaces would have been helpful for so large a place. If you don't mind a big loud room with a predictable menu, a likely wait during busy hours, but well prepared food and strong service, 54th Street is a good pick!. read more

Really enjoyed our first couple visits to 54th Street. It's a relatively new place in Glade Parks that's already drawing some lively crowds. When you walk in, restaurant is to the right and bar is to the left. Full menu is available in the bar area, with walls covered in beer signs and other artifacts. Yes, a bit chainy but still fun. There's an outdoor patio off the bar area that I plan to check out once temperstures around here fall below 100°. In the meantime I've been enjoying the air conditioned bar area. I'm a big fan of the "late" happy hour which starts at 9 PM. No deals on the craft beers, but the hearty appetizers starting at $5 more than make up for it. They also have $2 sliders and tacos. The extensive tap list should make most beer lovers happy, alhough about half the choices are from the mega breweries. Great choice if your group includes craft heads and Coors Light drinkers. I came for the football game, I ordered my first beer and then I ordered a second beer and a soup, I sat for 15 minutes and that is not a joke at all. The two bartenders walked past me and another guy at least 5 times each, they checked their phones more they checked on me. I have never left a place with out tipping, but tonight was a first for me. We came here tonight for my nieces 10th birthday. Terrible service. All they wanted was to get us out of there for another party to sit down. I even told them we were going to take our time. We ordered appetizers etc.... But no... very pushy and no smiles at all. Could you maybe give a ten year old a scoop of ice cream? No, so I ordered dessert for two kids. Thry could have told us one would be sufficient for two children ( at 15 dollars a dessert). The server even said AFTER it was too much for two. Definitely hit or miss when we order for delivery but always have great service in the restaurant! My son is gluten free and sometimes when I order a gluten free bun for delivery they give us a regular one but in the restaurant they always make sure it's 100% gluten free. I ordered the All American Bacon Cheeseburger and BBQ Beans. The burger was very good, but the bbq beans were an OMG Slap Yo Momma Good !!! They are a must try !!! 5 Years later this is my go-to place for a drink and a bite to eat. Beer is the coldest in town and unbelievable prices on appetizers during happy hour. Got to know some of the staff and they are super friendly. We try new places on occasion, but always come back to 54th. read more

It's still gets a little busy at happy hour and dinner, so service is a bit slow at these times as you would expect. But at least they have tables now, unlike their grand opening. I used to order this so I know they put the veggies in a bowl. Our orders came and the steamed veggies was on the same plate. Guess what!? It soaked the burger of course. Who puts steamed veggies on the same plate? Them! I had to asked for a different bun and re-plate it. Now the food; awful! The patties were dry and the cheese was hard on top. It was precooked and reheated. I ordered a gluten free bun; it was warm. The regular bun was cold and crusty. Looks like they also precooked it. This place used to be good. ZERO STARS, horrible experience! Will NOT be back! We walked in and there were 3 people standing at the host stand, not one of them greeted us or even made eye contact. They stood there talking amongst themselves and looking at the desk while we stood directly in front of it for 3 minutes. Finally one of them grabbed menus and started walking. He turned around and said "just two right?" Otherwise I wouldn't have known to even follow him. We sat down at the first table and waited, and waited, and waited. The same host that (eventually) sat us went to "find" the manager and came back 2 minutes later and said "I've looked all over the entire restaurant and can't find the manager anywhere." Rude and inattentive the whole experience was absolutely ridiculous and entirely unacceptable! We walked out and came down the street to Lazy Dog and had a WONDERFUL experience!! Me, my son and his family met here for dinner on Sunday evening around 8pm. We are fans of 54th Street in Lewisville and this was our first visit to this location. My grandson isn't even 4 months old and was in a baby carrier and the hostess initially walked us over to a booth. As soon as our server approached we were able to move to a table fortunately. My son ordered the All American Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. He said the burger was delicious and super filling. His girlfriend had the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus for her sides. She said her potatoes and asparagus were just barely warm but the salmon was nice and hot. I ordered A catfish called wanda and subbed baked beans for the mashed potatoes that it comes with. For my other side I selected Brussels Sprouts because they are wonderfully prepared here. I don't know what the other reviews are talking about we had no wait time. I'm wondering if their business has calmed down. Anyways, food is OMG TASTY! Get the tater kegs, seriously!!! I had the summer berry salad HOLYCOW PLEASE DONT EVER TAKE IT OFF THE MENU, and potato soup. My husband got the Mac and cheese. Y'all the bread and honey butter is OUT OF THIS WORLD!!!! We didn't get alcohol, but you can believe we'll get the champagne margarita next time. The service was amazing. Our server was super intuitive and several servers refilled drinks if she was busy.
