    Plenty of dryers!
    Kristine A.

I've been here 3 times, and I think it's safe to say this laundromat is going to be my new laundromat. It is very clean and pretty big! So even on the busiest of days, you'll always find a washing machine and dryer. I've been here on a Saturday late lunch/early evening, although busy, I had no problems using 4 machines. Even managed to grab a folding station. If you go on a weekday, it's pretty empty. BEWARE: every once in a while there is a running child. The people who own the place are pretty nice as well. They have two coin machines that take up to $20. It's $1.75 (7 quarters) for small washing machines. And $3.50 (14 quarters) for the medium sized ones. It helps that it's 24/7. Being that I work the overnight shift, I know that on my days off where I can't sleep at night, I can just come here and kill some time doing laundry. Too bad they have no wifi! It would be great to catch up on emails or shows whole doing laundry! Otherwise I would've given them 5 stars! I'm going to have to try their drop off service. Once I do, I'll prob update this review.

You can't beat the double loader for just 7 quarters = $1.75 and dryers for (.25) a quarter for 8 mins of hot drying. It's open 24 hours and not too many bums in and out. There is no parking lot so that is a negative but amble street parking in my opinion. I am a fan cause my previous laundromat was expensive for a double loader and took forever to dry my cloth compared to 55 Roosevelt Laundromat.

Left bleach stains on my pants. No apology. Claimed that I put bleach on my pants even before I gave it to them.

I've been a customer here for 3 years for drop off and pick up. No issues until now. They left a bunch of bleach spots on my pants and when I asked them about it they said that I already left bleach on my pants when I gave them the laundry (which I already separated by colors before I dropped it off with them). It's absurd. No apology. Nothing. They've lost a customer.

The Mexican lady accused me of not putting any money in and mumbled something under her breath about someone having to look at the camera. Mind you, there are two card reload machines; the second one was not working, either. I've been coming here since I moved to the neighborhood two years ago, and the fact that I was made to feel like a liar by someone who probably is not at all part of our community is troubling. Now I am nervous to put more money in there cos I don't want to be in the same situation again. I need the owner(s) to rectify this situation with me soon.

I live a few blocks away. Not sure why you're so mad I made an honest review. Sorry this made you so upset! Edit: how will you refuse service to me when you don't know who I am? (Not that I'm coming back) I removed the laundry card comment from my review. Not sure why you keep going back to that. My issue is that you don't have hot water. I have screenshots too! Where you admit to that. Let's be real. No one cares that much about yelp. Just run your business, maybe don't be so defensive and stop fighting with customers online! It's not a good look. Have the day you deserve!

I also love that all the machines are brand-new, not leased or refurbished. Every time I go there, I feel that I may run into Archie Bunker or someone famous! My cellphone signal reception on my smartphone works super fast, probably the fastest I ever seen. This is unusual for a laundromat because of all the electromagnetic machines that creates electromagnetic field's. I was lucky enough to meet the owner Nick in 2014. I was curious to find out what his secret was about the cellphone signal being so awesome. Nick was nice enough and told me that "if you look at the ceiling there are repeaters". This is very important for me since the work I do doesn't allow my work smartphone to be able to connect to Wi-Fi. I needed a iPhone charging cable because my battery was dying rapidly. I asked if they have a cable I can borrow w/o hesitation the lady at the register gave me one to use with out a hubcap attached to it, lol. I was there late-night and a gentleman with his small poodle came looking for his wife's wedding ring. The person that was in charge was new so he made a quick phone call & with-in minutes Nicks father brought him his ring which was from the Edwardian Era. Me and my wife own expensive shirts some costing close to $1000. I recently had a newborn baby boy. I choose to use Lost Sock to wash all his laundry as well. I recently relocated to the city last year for work. I bring all of our families laundry to Lost Sock specifically because I don't trust anyone else to handle our laundry needs.

I tried the wash and fold service before and had the clothes folded poorly with the same outcome. I figured it might be a one-off the first time. Went again and said the same thing. Both times I refolded the clothes myself to salvage what wrinkled messes I could. I tried to speak to the owners about it on the phone as I don't like to leave reviews without attempting to have a conversation about it to see what can be resolved. The owner said they are too busy to fold well and that I would need to pay for pressing or dry cleaning. She also said no one else has complained and implied it is only me. Now, I'm a guy who is probably about as great at folding as the next guy, but even I could tell these were just quickly rolled/folded together that they probably would have looked the same if just kept in the bar after drying. I'm just so confused by the owner too. She kept bringing up unrelated things like the costs. I have no problem paying extra if needed. She was mentioning other things rather than what I was calling about. I simply paid for the wash and fold service and know clearly understand this place is not the place to go. They are just ok if you need a place to go to do your own laundry like I usually do, but owners (both the husband and wife) have a way of making you feel in their way every time you are there. The last time I was there the guy was yelling at a Spanish speaking woman who didn't speak English and she didn't know what she was doing wrong. They just are not warm or friendly. If you can go someplace else, just do it. There is indeed a line between being unfriendly and rude and I think they are just use to crossing it. I don't know. So confused by this place. I should have read the other reviews beforehand and can see I'm not the only one who's seen the behavior of the two owners.

We used two large washing machines and two large dryers - just so you have an idea. Every other laundromat in Astoria closes at 11pm. This place is centrally located so you think they'd stay open later. At 8:15pm the guy offered me two large dryers which had "Out Of Work" signs. Clearly they were using those for the dropped off laundry. Then he asked when we'd be done because he wanted not only to close on time but to leave. When we were still there at 9pm folding he asked us to speed up our folding or shove it in our bag and leave. After all that we had an almost inherent right to fold. He was on his phone texting impatiently as we rushed to get everything folded. We refolded half our clothes at home. What a jerk! He didn't even offer to help. Suggestions to the owner for improvement. 1. Stay open two hours later. Every other laundromat in this neighborhood stays open until 11pm. You're centrally located so you have a chance to step up your game. 2. Improvements to the back area/yard. There are no seats inside. Close off the garbage with at least a cheap metal or wood barrier. Easy low cost solutions at Home Depot. Get rid of the ugly clutter. Add inexpensive wood benches and a few plants. I felt like I was sitting in a garbage area and was worried about bugs and vermin. It could be really nice and a real asset if done right. 3. Get new staff that are interested in pleasing customers. Even if they have to close late. The attitude of the guy that was there Saturday night was horrible. It ensured that we will never return.
