The owner's wife charged me $25; that's fine, they charged me that on my last pair. While on the train, the husband calls me to tell me that it's $40 to clean them ... we went back and forth and I agreed because I do all my dry cleaning there; well I used to. I went to pick them on Holy Thursday before work and noticed the material had been damaged. The husband was there and after some negotiating he said to bring the receipt; clearly I had mentioned that the shoes cost me $165. That very day after work I went to purchase another pair and brought him the receipt. Now in good faith, I went in Good Friday morning to see them. I brought him the new pair so he can see the material as well as the black pair that I owe and I was wearing a purple pair. The husband wasn't there, the wife started yelling that we had agreed on 165$ and the receipt was for $180 ... yes there is tax on them but I would take the $165. She then went on to say the deal was with her husband so to come back. This past Tuesday I passed by again after work with a copy of the receipt of the new pair, dropped it off with the wife and she said her husband would call me when he finished up at the other location; as they have several. Today is Friday .... No phone call nothing. I went back just now to ask where my money was, the wife said " take your shoes, there's nothing wrong with them" I couldn't believe it ... after all this time, now they didn't want to give me anything. Not always the most punctual and might leave you hanging if they're super busy but if you manage expectations and don't leave laundry to the last minute it's always worth it. I've had them rush my stuff and get it to me late the night before a big trip several times, always got my back!

At first, several employees told me the manager had access to the footage, but when I followed up, I was suddenly told only the owner could view it -- and no one was willing to take any further steps to assist. I understand there may be policies in place, but the inconsistent information and complete lack of concern left a really bad impression. It honestly raises questions -- what are they trying to hide? The refusal to even check the cameras doesn't look good and gives the impression that they're not interested in helping their customers when something serious happens.

One woman even wrapped my laundry bag in plastic to keep it dry when I went to pick it up during a rainstorm. They charge by the pound, but there is an extra charge for comforters and large blankets. As long as I live in this neighborhood, this place is my go-to.

I always feel so welcomed when I walk in. Ray helps to check in and out. She's calm, helpful and listens to my ranting. The tailor is quick and precise in her assessment when it comes to alterations. I've had 3 dresses done thus far and they've all come out perfectly. I've realized no matter where you go, tailoring will always be pricier than expected...but it's necessary. Otherwise, their prices are pretty damn fair considering all of the competitors in Astoria. I live in Flushing and even when I leave my job, I'll still be coming here for my dry cleaning needs. To my surprise, when I got it back the zippers had been changed!!! The nice black zippers, with a strip to pull, had been replaced for two generic YKK zippers (and they both of them are different to each other!!). I dont understand how this can happen. It just needed a dry clean, no need to handle the zippers. So I went today and tried to talk to the manager. This guy was very rude. He said that he didnt do it, that it is impossible. And Im ok, maybe it was another person working there. But he said no, that he is the one handling the dry cleaning. Well, I said these are not the zippers of my jacket, maybe you broke them, but you should have told me, consult me, save me the original pieces... He insisted that it wasnt him. Then he looked at the ugly silver zippers and said they look totally fine. And Im like no, they werent like this. Then he asked what I wanted. I said at least return my money for this bad job. And he was like no way. He started asking me to leave the store, that I should never come back (I agree on this one, wont ever come back). He was rude and couldnt accept his botched job. I was beyond annoyed by his attitude. I just say is not worth dealing with this person and this store. They treat you like a liar when you have just been duped by them. Avoid!
