Drinks!! All about drinks. They have a bar. This is the bar. But you can also get food here. They serve outdoor. The protal doesn't always serve the outside seatings/ patio but now that the weather is warmer, they do. I've done pretzels to wine and beer during my stays. And some brunch. Last I tried was in May,2021. They still weren't doing outdoor dining yet. Only take out or dine in if you want. But since I have my pup with me, I often do patio dining when they allow. Usually they will accommodate if they are not busy. The views are great. Usually and almost always chilly here and also super windy out. But views are great. Brunch/ breakfast is a hit and miss. But the view helps! And it's convenient and you don't have to leave the lodge. So it's good when you're staying here! read more

Impressed. Slammed with a party but they worked us in. Food was really good for bar food.

They have a $12 hot dog on the menu. I've gotten better sandwiches at the deli near my office, and I've had better queso fundito at many Mexican restaurants, all for a fraction of the price that they charge here. Don't let the fancy names and descriptions fool you, the food that comes out looks and tastes "basic". I live in Seattle-proper so I don't get sticker shock often, and I found the prices at 56 Degrees obscene. Service was excellent, the staff were attentive and refilled our ice waters and hot water for tea frequently. While 56 Degrees is a convenient and comfortable place to get drinks and enjoy the view if you are at the lodge already, I urge you to stay away from the overpriced bad food. Get a room with a kitchen and make your own or drive into Roslyn for a diner or café (they have many). read more

Not sure if my review should be for this or Portals. My husband and I have come to Suncadia many times for retreats with our church. We've come twice during COVID restrictions just the two of us and wanted to grab dinner after hanging around the area and being down by the river, where we one time saw deer crossing it! They seemed to be doing well in terms of COVID precautions and had plexiglass up early on and prepackaged utensils, etc. we ordered the half oven baked chicken and hangar steak and it was so delicious! We went back this weekend though and I looked for those two items on the menu but they didn't have it. Instead, we ordered a chicken sandwich and at first I didn't want to even try a bite of that since I thought it wasn't going to be a piece of fried chicken and I'm not as into chicken sandwiches but I'm glad I did since it was so tender! I ordered their burger and it was also really good. There is a lovely view next to the restaurant and can be a bit windy outside. read more

Looking at the menu, my eyes went immediately to the Prime Rib Dip. Roasted prime rib, caramelized onions, aged white cheddar, au jus, and horseradish on a buttery crispy bread and then topped off with the most seasoned, crispy fries. To complete my total food-gasim I had a smooth and tasty Manny's draft beer. The service was outstanding and even though it was a little pricy, the quality and quantity of food served was well worth the splurge. The view overlooking a field of trees and rolling hills just added that little je ne sais quoi to put a perfect end to a lovely day. read more

2pm hit, and I was hungry. The main restaurant (Portals) was closed, so I headed to 56 Degrees instead. I'd peeked online before settling on 56 Degrees, and their signature Elk burger (Elk patty, chipotle BBQ sauce, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion straws, cheese, brioche) sold me on eating there. Unfortunately, when I ordered I was told that that item was no longer on the menu and that they were sorry that they haven't updated the website yet. Bummer. Instead, I settled on the 'Double Cheese' Burger (beef patty, Beecher's Flagship & No Woman cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, bistro sauce, brioche) . The kindly server (great service here!) asked me how I wanted it cooked so I said medium rare. It took about 20 minutes for the meal to arrive but that was fine as I was enjoying the gorgeous mountain view out the back window. When the burger arrived, it looked delicious. Truth be told, it ended up being just average. The patty was cooked not medium rare but within an inch of its life. Not just well done, but very, very well done. It took away from the overall flavor of the burger because most of what I tasted was burnt, charred ruins and the dry meat sucked all the moist flavor out of the otherwise tasty burger fixin's. The Double Cheese, while a great idea in theory, seemed to blend into the background - and I love Beecher's cheese. I think I just made a bad menu choice here. read more

Food was just OK. The salmon sandwich was super sloppy. The burger was just marginal (doubtful it is actually a Wagu grade burger). Kids mac n' cheese was a huge portion but was lumpy. We went to the stove house and had a much better experience the day before. read more

Food was good, service was timely. Cheesecake was great! Food actually came from 'Portals' across the hall, and when I ordered chicken I got a literal half of a chicken. Seasoned well (the 29$ seemed a bit high for a chicken breast... then I saw why it was 29$!). Only a few people in there to begin and when we left there were about a dozen; good, friendly service didn't change with the higher traffic. Waited at the bar while the two of them (staff) gossiped. Nobody else was really even in there. Gave up and just walked out after a few minutes. This resort has so much potential but when you hire a bunch of college students all of the sudden your $560 a night seems like a rip off. read more

Unfortunately some of the worst service I've experienced. Be prepared to stand at the bar and be ignored. They all seem put out by all the patrons. It is unfortunate for the amount of money people spend to come to Suncadia. read more

Sitting in the sun at 56 Degrees at Suncadia. Great view, good food - had a great salad and sweet potatoe fries with a maple creme fresh....a must!! But what put it over the edge was Jereth's great service and recommendations. He told us to eat at a restaurant on property, got us a reservation, and ket us know about the shuttle. We found our way to this quant little bar while staying at the resort. We sat by the window to get a view of the snow and have some dinner and a drink. We waited. And waited. And waited. We watched as both hostesses from the adjacent restaurant swept passed us never smiling or engaging guests. We watched as both bar servers walked about never acknowledging our table or any of the others. No smile or even a 'I'll be right with you'. The wait staff just seemed to not want to be there. Many of the guest including ourselves just got up and left. For as nice a resort as Suncadia is, I really expected better service. Well be eating in Roslyn the rest of our stay. read more

Our first time and last time. My wife and I live locally and were not staying at the lodge which makes our experience a bit more tolerable since we weren't spending the 300+ a night. When we arrived the lounge was fairly busy with most of the tables occupied. We sat at the bar which no one was seated at. Behind the bar was an array of employees. We were greeted promptly and given water and the menu. We decided on our drink selection and waited. And waited. And waited. Meanwhile the group of employees behind the bar were gossiping, looking at their phones, playing distasteful music, laughing and flirting. Approximately 10 minutes went by and we were finally asked what we would like to drink. We ordered our drinks and while they were being made a bar tender used the soda dispenser which shot water all over the bar and my wife. The bar tender apologized and said its just water but did not offer a napkin or towel to clean up her mess. Our drinks finally came which were good. We sat and watched in utter amazement of how poorly ran this "fine" establishment was managed. The employees continued to come in and out of the small bar area. At times there would be 5 of them behind the bar. It seemed they all were more concerned about what they had planned later in the evening or weekend rather than their job. We finished out drinks and sat there for approximately another 10 minutes. Not a single employee asked if we wanted another drink or if we wanted to order food. We were tired of watching college aged kids gossip and play with their friends. If you are looking for a classy, professionally ran bar I would not recommend this bar/lounge. However if you enjoy the college atmosphere of poor service and being ignored this is the place to go. read more

Small place but awesome! I have been here maybe 4 or 5 times and the service has always been great! One night we came in late and they allowed us to bring a bottle of champagne in (don't worry we were also buying their drinks too). The awesome manager allowed the bartender to pop the cork off the bottle using a knife and it was an awesome show! Every bartender we have ever had has been great! read more

Came in for a drink with my husband while staying at Suncadia for the night. When my husband asked for the most aged bourbon, the bartender seemed put out to have to look for bourbons. He then recommended a bourbon that was not aged, but was a top seller in their bar. My husband took the recommendation and asked for an old fashioned. I got a glass of Malbec. We went outside and sat on the patio in order to take in the view. Not one time did any one come out to check on us to make sure that we were doing ok, or ask us if we needed anything else. We ended up going inside to pay for our drinks. When we got inside, the staff was too busy talking to one another to help us out. They stood their chatting for several minutes before reluctantly helping us out. It's rather disappointing when you are paying $40 for two drinks to be ignored and not receive top notch service. The resort should really evaluate their employees and ensure that the employees are giving great service to those who are there to enjoy some time away. For the price you pay, the service was unacceptable. The resort and the views are breathtaking, but I can't say I'd stop here and have a drink. read more

First time here and have to say we were very impressed with location, drinks, and food. But the best surprise we had was our server. Xavier was the best, very attentive, engaging, and knowledgeable. He definitely made our visit a "FIVE STAR". Already looking forward to our next visit!!! read more
