Hands down my absolute favorite teriyaki restaurant in Tacoma! June and her husband are wonderful and they put so much love into their food. The customer service is always excellent, I've been coming here for over 10 years. The teriyaki is delicious, if you're in the mood for burgers they're actually amazing, the fried rice is really good, Mongolian beef, basically the whole menu you can't go wrong. I love that it's family owned and how personable they are. The consistency has never slipped over the years, neither has the service. The chicken tasted like it had been out a long time, nothing was fresh about the food. The egg rolls were just ok. I couldn't even eat the teriyaki. It was hard and some parts crunchy. My first time coming here - Overall, it's good and it's cheap. I ordered the beef teriyaki and the orange chicken. The beef teriyaki was good, just had a bit too much sauce. Can I just say that I love this place! Like really! It seems to be pretty busy. Small and clean when you walk in. Friendly staff greeting you. Complementary soup water and coffee. Large portions of rice chicken and other entrées. I had a cheeseburger and fries. The burger was so juicy and the vegetables were so fresh. I also had a frozen bubble tea coffee flavored with tapioca. It was also delicious. I have nothing negative to say about this place. This place is right across the street from my home. I moved here about six months ago and only tried this place just recently. Maybe it was the vape shop/gas station vibe, but it just never seemed like a go-to spot. Well call me a stereotyper because this place is a gem! I tried this place a month ago for the first time and I've been back three times already. That says a lot because we only eat out once a week. The food is really good. The prices are right in the decent price range, and the customer service is great! We usually get the spicy mix chicken and chicken stir fry to mix more veggies in with chicken. Love that they have kimchi and Chinese food as well as Japanese food. Never had issues with parking or space when inside. Definitely my go-to place now. read more

I live very close to this store, but even if I lived further away it would continue to be my go-to teriyaki restaurant. First of all the owner works the counter every day and is the sweetest lady. She always greets you as soon as you walk in with a huge smile, and she remembers everyone's name so it feels very personal and authentic. I've tried quite a few different dishes and so far I've not been disappointed with anything I've tried. Located in a little strip mall at the intersection of 56th and Orchard, this teriyaki joint gets the not yet patented Tacoma Hidden Gem award. I rarely make my way to the south side, but now it seems I have a much better reason to increase my visits. This restaurant isn't much to look at, although the ordering counter is VERY unique, as it appears to be the back of a ship, sitting in the middle of a little worn down restaurant. The tables are a little crappy, the chairs aren't super comfy, but the food is excellent! Spicy Teriyaki Chicken - Now I know that teriyaki chicken is good at lots of different places, but where this place not only makes very good chicken, the spicy teriyaki sauce could very well be the best I've ever had. The kick was so intense, I didn't even reach for the Sriracha, which is usually a staple for me with teriyaki. Not a single piece of chicken was stringy or chewy, and the onions and peppers that were a part of the dish were yummy as well. It was served with plenty of sticky rice, and I have literally no complaints. Also, the portion was gigantic, as most teriyaki places are, and the price was the cheapest I've ever seen - only 5.99 and not even during the lunchtime special. Salad - I don't like salad, but if I did, I would love this one. The dressing was the goofiest teriyaki-esque tasting concoction but it was delicious to the point where i actually ate nearly half of it. For six bucks, this combination of food could keep me satisfied for a year, and I am looking forward to having an excuse to go back to try something new! read more

I use to come here all the time couple years ago but looks like they got new owners. I did 2 different take outs orders recently and it was pretty good. I ordered yakisoba and chicken teriyaki, both I would recommend. The cashier is friendly over the phone when I was ordering, which is always a good sign of a good business. And I didn't feel rushed ordering on the phone with her. The prices are average, I think a lot of teriyaki places are raising their prices. This place is pretty good. Got take out last week. Egg drop soup: About average though a *bit* on the salty side and could use maybe a little more veggies but overall decent. The chow mien(sp?): tasted fine but the noodles were a little too soft for me though my niece LOVED it. Also the gyoza: was pretty awesome. The best part was the woman working inside (on a Monday night). She was friendly, personable, and was able to hold up a conversation with me while I was waiting (I was the only one there at the moment) and made me feel like I mattered even though it was only a $20.00 order. That's a huge thing to me...people understanding that their customers matter. It's about average teriyaki I think but definitely worth stopping by when I'm in the area to try the other stuff they have on the menu. I can see my niece making a point of going there as she loves anything even remotely "Asian." The parking lot is almost always full and it's hard to find a spot to park especially in the day time because the Biomat plasma center is there and they take up more than their fair share of spaces. That was part of the conversation we had while I was waiting and she told me that if I stop by and want to order something and can't find a place to park just call her and sh will bring it to my car. That's what I mean about knowing customers are important. It's a small thing to do in the larger scheme of things, but it can mean so much to someone who can't park because...no spot but really just wants to get something to eat right now and not have to deal with going somewhere else. read more
